Stopped in at the last minute because we were starving. Older building but very clean for sure. The buffet was fresh and much better than we expected. The crab and fish was much fresher than the Maryland crab house (which was 3x the cost in md). I would highly recommend this restaurant as the staff was very friendly and she did an amazing job keeping the area clean. Support these local guys as they work hard and serve great affordable food.

I give up on finding a decent Chinese buffet in South Boston, and this is yet another bottom-​of-​the-​barrel establishment. Not as bad as Panda Inn, which is just down the road, but close. Flavorless, room temperature food that had been sitting for a LONG time, poor service and the restaurant itself is run down and probably just clean enough not to be shut down by the health department. The extremely cheap price, even for dinner, is the only reason I’m giving it two stars. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. Shangri-​La it is definitely not…

I don’t know how these people are open. The food taste like its at least a week old. The sushi wasn’t rolled right. And was very limited. They serve mostly what everyone else does. Nothing new

Ok at lunch. Dinner is not. Same old tired china buffet. At night dishes are left on tables and looks like pigs eat here. Always running out food and waits till it has a fine skin before changing the dish. Like I said lunch is fine dinner is not.

I went to Shangri-​La with my family and it was very clean and the staff was very friendly. They offer a variety of American and Chinese foods. They also serve different kinds of fresh sushi. They serve homemade mac and cheese, fried chicken, steak, and roast pork. A salad bar and dessert to fill your appetite. ice cream, pudding .
it’s attraction was a chocolate fountain. They have strawberries, pineapples and marshmallows to cover with the chocolate.
Food was great. it’s a reasonable price. I was satisfied. I’ll be coming back.
