Went here on a Monday night so was only us and a couple other regulars at the bar. Attentive if not overly friendly service(which is fine by me), somewhat run down and seemed a bit eighties to me which adds to the charm. Did not have any food here but will certainly be back for some drinks again.

They’ve had the same bartender for years. He’s the worst bartender in the city. Inattentive, takes his time, and would rather play on his phone then keep an eye out for customers looking for service. It’s a nice bar, plenty of space, but every time I go I dread trying to get the bartenders attention. Won’t go back until he’s gone.

This is a great place for great pub food and a few beers. The Buffalo chicken tenders and spicy fries are really good! Staff is also super friendly. Definitely will be coming back.

The other go-to southie dive(murphys law being the alternate). More tvs than Murphys Law, but less space and no darts. Both are super cheap and not typically crowded. Don’t let the super sketchy exterior scare you away, bring your unpretentious friends.

Loved this place! Went in on a Tuesday night and it wasn’t dead but definitely not crowded. Has a lot of room between tables, hightops, and bar area along with a room overlooking everything. Bartender was wicked nice — even made some specialty shots for us. Great prices — can’t wait to go back again.

Touchies is one of South Boston’s top bars!!! If you like cheap drinks, like super cheap $ 4 cocktails, $ 2 buds and chillin with 50 year plus old grumpy southie guys then this is the spot! I love touchies, I live next door, so I love it for the price and location. It’s also a block away from the beach and I have stopped in there after numerous beach drinks and gotten their $ 7 burger w/fries and a draft beer, amazing!!! Be warned yuppies, your sweater vests will catch looks or comments, hahaha, but the bartenders are super nice and chill and make everyone welcome.

I went here once after a union meeting at the Florian Hall and I was still in my postal blues(pants only, different shirt). The«Sham» is a dive, dingy and dank, but loaded with plenty of local color. I think that due to wearing my carrier pants, that was the only thing that saved me from getting my ass kicked by the sons of St. Patrick because my face is the map of Sicily. Also, the guys I was with were born and bred in Southie, but they’ve since moved up in the world(Adams Village in Dorchester, don’t you know?) I met a whacky kid that looked like an extra from GOODWILLHUNTING and a painted-up blowser whose brother is on the state legislature that kept grabbing my skinny ass. We sat late into the nite drinking beers and shooters. Would I ever go back here? Hell no! Unless, of course, I can fit back into my old carrier pants.

$ 2 Coors light/Bud on tap. Good cook on staff Wed-Fri 11am to 4pm; Sat&Sun 11am ot 6pm. Try the fried haddock on Fridays. Clean place, not huge, but certainly not tiny either. A few flat panel TVs… woth the stop.
