great food bad customer service always people jumping in front of others no order getting waited on and the menu you have to fill out to get orders filled is silly someone should just ask you your order .like I said great food just confusion when ordering

Best pies in town. Sandwiches are good if u don’t want fast food. But u could probably make them at home. But soup and pies are great

Just left here for lunch. Everything is back to normal and in some areas better than ever. Yay. My brownie was delish and my lemon glazed was better than what i had at Shipley’s in San Antonio, TX. YAY!!!

If you are looking for the best chocolate pie in the area, this is the place. Windmill is an Amish bakery with fresh treats out of the oven daily. My favorite ones are the chocolate pie and the chocolate chip cookies. If you want to stop for lunch, the chicken soup and the chicken salad sandwiches are excellent.

Seriously love this place! The brownies are melt in your mouth amazing. I love stopping in after a long day of shopping, going to the lake, or just because. Also it is in a great location. It is right next to the local Belk. I ALWAYS take out of town friends here for lunch. :)

The troyer’s Dressing is amazing! Everything is always fresh and the donuts are a must. You can not eat at a better place in the South Boston area. I just wish I lived closer to the bakery, would eat there all the time. Another tip is to call and order the sandwhich rolls ahead of the time and then you can buy the dressing and have sandwhiches all week! For the locals, I wouldn’t buy a birthday cake from anywhere else! These cakes are so fresh and good.

The chicken noodle soup is gross. Sandwiches are just bland. Nothing special about the food it is just food.

Finally went to the store and it is adorable! It’s apparently an Amish shop. We ordered the mixed donuts and the blueberry muffins. The donuts were not as good as the brownies, cinnamon twists, and muffins, but were okay. Note that they don’t always have everything in stock or it might be baking when you get there so if you’re going for something specific I would call in advance to make sure they have it.
Now, the muffins were SO YUMMY. They tasted homemade. If I had this store near where I lived, I would go there everyday instead of baking myself. I in fact am craving their bluberry muffins right now. I wish I had tried their morning glory muffins but maybe I’ll get a chance to visit this area again sometime in the future!

Love this place! Best chocolate chip cookies in the world! The chocolate pie is really good too. Usually my contribution to the Thanksgiving meal. They do sandwiches as well. I’m always popular when I bring something home from the Windmill.

Excellent sandwiches, soups, breads and baked good. I’ve never tried anything that wasn’t great.

Great little Mennonite bakery with good light lunch fare. The soup is great and the baked goods are fresh and delicious. Not a huge selection in this town, but this establishment is excellent for lunch. don’t let the crowd scare you off, the counter service is pretty quick. If a soup & sandwich is not your thing, this is not your place.
