This place is a treasure! The owners have thought of everything! Anything you need to be comfortable is provided right down to candles and matches for the spa tub. The first time I stayed, I was in a room just off the main house. Very comfortable. The next time, I was in «the annex.» Except for one night, I was there by myself.(I was there in the winter.) I had an upstairs room with a balcony and a great view. The room had a whirlpool bath and a «4 seasons fireplace.» Just perfect. South Bristol is out on a point that sticks out into the Atlantic. There are mostly summer homes. Some beautiful old antique homes, some recently built Mcmansions(ugh). It is not a commercial area. There is a big fleet of lobstermen and you can buy live lobster at the wharf near the swing bridge. Leave time to explore the area and surrounds. You can drive to Damiscotta where there are lots of shops and restaurants. The owners were very kind and I had the use of a full kitchen in the Annex. It was like housesitting in a luxury home. I got a winter rate that was very affordable. Not so true in the summer.
