I highly suggest the ribeye! It was perfectly prepared. Being from the Midwest I’d like to think I know a good steak, and this was PRIMO.

Had dinner with my parents this evening and was impressed with my experience. The food was great, as was the service and atmosphere. My dad wants ribeye, whiskey and a place to celebrate both. My mom wants crab, a Cosmo and a salad. I went with a gin fizz, squash fritters red meat too. We split oysters to start and washed it all down with espresso and single malt. Food was all good and everyone left happy. Meat was pricy though satisfying. The bill wasn’t mine to cover so the Guild was a good place to splurge and enjoy.

On point. From the moment you walk in the door, you know it’s going to be amazing. The décor is rustic, yet modern and gives that cozy home feel. You’re immediately greeted and the host will offer to take your costs. We were sat by the kitchen… Open for full view of the cooks and line. Such a treat to watch them prepare food. I wish it was busier so I could see them hustle! I ordered the Silver Frizz. Mmmm so delicious! Gin, lemon, sugar, egg white & soda. Perfectly as described on their menu«east, bright & refreshing». Tasted like lemon meringue pie! Followed by a seasonal app of butternut squash fritters… Crispy, light & soft. For an entrée I went with the special 5oz sirloin w/potatoes & sautéed onions. Cooked to perfection. Artfully presented. They had me at first bite. The food was incredible. I finished off my plate. Portions were on point. I can’t leave without noting the delightful staff. Our server was knowledgable, quick and her entire team had her back.

Wow… we loved the décor and the ambiance is awesome! The food is pricey, menu is limited… But worth every penny. I haven’t not had steak tartare in awhile. not enough people have it on there menu locally and they DO! Loved it! Definatley will be back!

This is an awesome steakhouse! I have had their filet mignon a couple times and it has always been incredible. Since there are coupons around for Guild, it makes going there for an entrée a bit more do-able. Although the prices are high, you get what you pay for: awesome food all-around(the crab cakes are awesome too!!). They have The Best steak tartare I’ve ever had. Wednesday is a good night to go because of the half price cocktail deals which makes it a good cocktail+apps place.(try the«Closing Argument» cocktail) The waitstaff have always been really friendly and accomodating. I have gone here for my birthday and they even brought me a complimentary dessert!

If I could give this restaurant more stars I would! From our server Lauren being incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, to literally everything we ate, we were beyond impressed. My boyfriend and I came on New Years Eve and ordered the crab gratin and fried oysters for appetizers. The presentation was amazing and the taste was even better. For entrees I had the House BBQ and he had the Steak and Shrimp, both of which were beyond delicious. Finally we had vanilla crème brûlée and as a crème brûlée snob, this one was hands down the best I have ever had. Don’t walk — RUN to Guild because it truly is the best restaurant in the Burlington area. Thank you for a great night and amazing food!

Fine Vermont dining, not at all what I expected. I heard this steak house was the best of the best and could take weeks to get a reservation my boyfriend and I got in immediately on an incredible busy fall night, if you will we «got lucky». Our waitress was extremely nice and helpful with the menu. We started off with some wine and beer and then some shrimp cocktail for a small appetizer and bread of course. At this point nothing peaks my excitement at this restaurant no different to me than your average steak house. Being from NYC fine dining atmospheres are much different. We proceeded to order our meals both getting prime rib cuts medium well I got the blue cheese side sauce for mine which I might add was very tasty, my boyfriend got a bernaise sauce both with some garlic mashed potatoes. We waited the average amount of time for our food on a busy Saturday night. I’ve heard that farm to table food is the best of the best in my opinion in this instance there is nothing spectacular at all about it. By far the worst cut of beef I have ever had, I have had better at your average 30 dollar a plate, not 75 dollars a plate. Service was great food was so so, would never return to this place definitely not worth the prices.

Really liked this place. The ambiance is warm and cozy with fireplaces — perfect for a cold winter evening. We started our night with the butternut squash fritters. They were crispy on the outside, yet smooth and creamy on the inside. With the addition of the sauce, which added the perfect touch of sweetness, these were quickly gobbled up. My husband split the sirloin steak for two with my FIL. It was wheeled out on a cart and carved table side. My husband’s face said it all with his first bite — delicious! Being pescatarian, I couldn’t share the experience, but I took his word for it. My mother ordered the cast iron skillet salmon. This, I had a bite of, and wanted more. It was perfectly crisped with a celery root sauce. I may be ordering this on my next visit. I ordered the roasted mushroom and lentil burger. It was delicious and healthy. The outer edges were crispy and the yogurt sauce was perfect. Even the fries were superb! Usually, the fries are an afterthought, but not here. These were perfectly crunchy and seasoned. I couldn’t stop eating them. The service was also amazing. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. I can’t wait for my next visit!

My husband and I had been putting off going here because of pricing for the past few months but after having a rough couple of weeks decided to treat ourselves and have a date night. Wow! I am so glad we did! The dining room is ridiculously welcoming, cozy, and rustic. It was decked out with fireplaces, comfy chairs, and warm lighting. The kitchen is completely open and it’s really neat to see the chefs prepare your food right in front of you. We ordered butternut squash fritters for an app and it just tasted of fall! It was rich and succulent without being dense. It also came with an amazing sorghum crème fraîche that I could probably eat by the spoonful! For our dinner, I had a bbq slider special that came with three sliders on homemade buttermilk biscuits– one chicken, one pulled pork with sweet NC bbq sauce, and one brisket. Now, after visiting Austin every year, I am a brisket snob(yes, I’ll admit it!) and this stood up to true Texan bbq. Delicious! Not only was the meat perfectly seasoned but the biscuits were flaky and buttery. My husband got the rib eye and that also did not disappoint. I only had 1 bite(all that he could part with!) but it was a perfect medium rare and made me question why I don’t eat steak more frequently. We went on a Wednesday so there was half price cocktails. I had the tequila daisy and it was delicious! Highly recommend it! Great service, great drinks, and great food. Thanks Guild– we will be back!

The place was packed on Saturday night. We originally tried to book a table for 4 at 6p, but there were no online reservations until 8:30p. We decided to try a walk-in, and got a small square bar table. It’s was a bit tight, as we were bumping knees. We started with the salad of the night which had pears, almonds, blue cheese… Great mix of flavors. Their butternut squash soup was really good, as I only got a spoonful taste from my other half. It was smooth and creamy. I had the brisket entrée, which came with hush puppies, sautéed greens, Cole slaw and the brisket. The brisket was cooked well, but rather dry. If did come with a dressing and bbq-type sauce. So, as long as you dipped it, it was fine. Just seems odd since it’s probably cooked with all the juices, but then taken out and dried out. The cole slaw was good, but really just shredded red cabbage with dressing. The greens required the most chewing, probably could’ve been cooked a bit longer to break down the fibers. Hubby got the veggie burger which he seems to like, it disappeared off his plate. Our friends got the mixed grill, which was definitely a good portion size for an entrée, but it seemed small on the platter they served it on. Maybe better to serve it on a dinner plate, so it covers the plate better. Still my go to for Williston /airport area restaurant.

Guild Tavern is a beautiful Resturant with a rustic farmhouse look. Old coffee grinders are on the beams above your head. The kitchen is a open air you see the chickens roasting and all the food being prepared. Our service was excellent the waitress was very attentive. I loved how everyone was dressed in black and waitresses had their hair pulled back . Appetizers were excellent. The steak tartare was amazing! We could have had a second order. The salads were nice size and tasty. I had the apple, pumpkin seeds and blue cheese salad. The oysters were fresh and opened properly. I would have had more than 6 but at $ 3 a oyster It can get pricey. All our main dishes were really good but portion size is ridiculous for the price! I had the salmon, vegetables and beets. The salad was two fork full bites and the beets were puréed then a wipe on the dish. The salmon was 3 oz the smallest piece I’ve ever had! Had they given roasted beets it would have not been so bad. The $ 7 dollar burger is a kids size burger nothing special. If it was grass feed it didn’t taste like it. The shrimp and steak were delish in taste but also a very small portion. The food overall is excellent they just need to increase portion size for entrée’s. I hope to return to this Resturant and see they changed the portions.

I am so disappointed that my favorite restaurant uses Soy Oil in their food preparations:-(I am allergic to Soy and would not expect that a non-chain, local restaurant, using local ingredients would resort to the cheapest oil available. It did not occur to me to ask about soy usage in my seared salmon dish. I will happily return if Guild &Co changed to a better oil.

Stopped in to celebrate the move(back) to Vermont. Already a fan of the Farmhouse Tap and Grill, the Guild did not disappoint. Took advantage of the cocktail specials and had an *amazingly well made* Sazerac. The old school cocktails are the best, and these guys make it well. Love the atmosphere, and the connection to the open kitchen, where you can watch the food being prepared. Delicious, fresh salad. Had an amazing meal overall. Steak was cooked to perfection(medium-rare; no steak should ever be cooked more), and perfectly seasoned as well. Good service, but could have been a bit more attentive. Will definitely return for more.

This place has flat out one of the best rare hamburgers I have had at a restaurant. The place has a kind of a dark cozy atmosphere that almost skirts the line of feeling a tad chainy. But having a large portion of the kitchen open to the dining area and the liberal decoration with a multitude of meat grinders adds kind of a uniqueness. The service! Our server was very attentive, polite, and knowledgeable. And when when we answered«yes» to bread for the table, she headed to a table a few few feet away, grabbed a fresh load out of the oven, and proceeded to slice us fresh bread and bring it to the table. Nothing to complain about here. The food! I ordered the burger and was not disappointed. I ordered my burger rare, and not only did it come that way, I could very clearly see the distinctive red and white marbling in the raw beef in the center of the patty that let my know that the meat grinder were not for show and that this patty was made from freshly ground chuck. The taste confirmed the quality. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking to drop ~$ 16 on a high quality burger.

Had the filet. It was more of a $ 25 dollar filet than $ 45. Guy sitting next to me had a burger. Looked much better than my filet. Wished I had that. Would suggest Hen of The Wood for a real quality piece of meat. Girlfriend had the salmon and it was amazing. Staff was very friendly and did a great job.

I’ve been to this restaurant several times and for the most part, my experience has been satisfactory(3 stars). However, last night, I was served with a side of BS with my meal. I always say that one of the best measures of a steakhouse is how they serve a well done steak. So that’s exactly what I decided to test last night. I even informed the server that I don’t want the steak cut/butterflied as that promotes poor and lazy technique on the chef’s part and promotes dryness of the steak. When I got my steak, it was already sliced in 3 pieces. It was also burnt on one side. I actually had to slice off a layer to get it off. When I asked the server why the steak was sliced, she told me that they do this now because they get a lot of complaints about the meat being tough. When I commented that well done does not mean burnt, she stated that this was because of the type of wood fired grill that they use. These types if explanations might fly with a regular diner but for me, I was just in utter disbelief with the server’s explanation that I remained speechless! I paid full price for my improperly served steak. I’ll do this again one more time and see if the experience is different.

Random pick for dinner. Was in gym clothes and friend was in shorts. We walked in and people were dressed up(not like LA or NYC dressed up but still). Oppss. Blue cheese burger: five stars for taste. Came with half fries and half arugula salad; highly recommend getting a sunny side up egg added to the burger. Fries are decent(I still think Al’s french fries has the best fries but I’m biased on it) Shrimp dish: five stars for taste. Super flavorful Minus one star for price. Total bill came out to be 60 bucks for two entrées. I will probably not come back for regular days but will come back for the $ 10 burgers on Sunday or half off beers on Tuesday

I can’t see why anyone would rate this place as high as they did. My husband and I have wanted to try this place for months. We got a gift card and were so excited to go. While we weren’t terribly concerned with the prices due to the gift, we thought the prices for the steaks was unreasonable. My husband had a the blue cheese burger, and he said it was just okay, certainly not the best he has had. I ordered the BBQ pork shoulder. 70% of what I was served was pure fat. The sides were okay, but nothing special. The waitress was fine, but when I expressed my concerns about how unappetizing my meal was due to the gobs of fat, she said she was sorry and would tell the kitchen. I wasn’t offered anything else. I left hungry after a $ 70 tab, wishing I had gone just about anywhere else.

I’ve lived here for almost three years now and in spite of how many amazing things I’ve heard about the place I am ashamed to say I haven’t been to Guild until now. I always thought it was too pricy or too out of the way or too fancy. And it was on the pricier side, and yes maybe a bit out of the way, but cripes was it worth it! I had the petit filet minion and my partner had the chicken mixed grill, both delectible and flavorful. The cocktails were out of this world, I had the Brooklyn(my first time trying that one) and he had the best Old Fashioned we’ve ever had. Bonus — They have specials almost every night, like $ 10 burgers on Sundays or half price Oyesters on Thursdays. I will definitely be back and will be bringing friends.
