Was just ok. We have had much better Hibatchi and Chinese food in general. It was 2pm, and the food was lukewarm, and obviously not fresh. Disappointed.

Good buffet. Nice selection of sushi. Hibachi section for you to make your own. Big seafood selection. Wish the had some mei fun, but it’s rare I find it at any buffet. Everything we had was really good. BUT the food could have been rotated in faster, it was later in the evening so they might have been slowing down how much they cook. We will certainly come back!

Absolutely awful! Food tasted like it had been warned up over and over. Did not want to pay at all for this crap Chinese food. At one point I thought I had eaten an insect because of the taste. Don’t go!!!

I eat often here. The staff is friendly and recognize me as a regular here. The food is as far as buffets go excellent. The price is reasonable. I had also frequented this place when it was whistle stop junction and ryans. I prefer the Chinese restaurant over ryans which if you never ate at one I’ll fill you in on what you missed. Ryan’s tasted like someone raided a Swanson tv dinner delivery. The food tasted at Ryan’s that bad. This new incarnation of a buffet is better than the last two i mentioned. I’ll be back here since this is the place to go when your budget is low and your stomach needs filling. The woe of a graduate student.

It really is more of a Chinese buffet to me, food is good, not sure how fresh it is but definitely not what I expected. Service was good. It was not busy, price was reasonable at $ 12 each.

I went here on a Saturday and the lunch buffet was only $ 7.50 and they had a great selection and everything was fresh. You can’t beat the price and the selection.

Great service but the food is meh. The quality of food is not that good. Sushi was dry and not fresh. Hibachi is tasteless(should add more sauce). The good thing is they add the new hot food very often but only popular items. I like salt and pepper shrimps and steam fish.

Ocean buffet has a lot of great food. Sushi is so-so but the hibachi grille and the crawfish is great!

Best amount of food I’ve seen at a chinese buffet. Also has sushi, and a hibachi grill, lots of american food. The chinese food variety is nothing special, same things they have at other buffet places, but they place has more choices of american food from what I remember(i.e. friend chicken, mac and cheese, mash potatoes, etc) Came in with a group of 4 people on a Saturday night, got seated right away, good crowd of people in the restaurant, food seemed fresh, at one point they ran out of crawfish but they brought out new batch within about 10 minutes. Price is good for dinner for the amount of food you can get. The service is friendly, dishes cleared often, drinks get refilled often without you having to ask.

Wow, wow, wow. Buffet had the hottest food ever. Sushi out of this world. So many times the food at buffets is not hot enough. Not here I saw steam boring out of every table. Great selection.

We took our children here for lunch and our first impression was of the greeter talking on her cell phone and ignoring us. It went downhill from there. The food was very poor quality with too much salt and sugar in everything. Everything tasted almost the exact same. The desert cookies were soggy, the cream puffs were horrible, and everything on the main buffet was horrible. The only thing with even a tiny bit of flavor was the salmon from the middle of the piece because everything else was over cooked and dry. The waiter was very quick to remove dirty plates but never once offered refills or brought extra napkins. i get better service at McDonalds. Oh, and their 10% off coupon confused the waiter and he couldn’t/wouldn’t help us with it. The cashier took it but the waiter was pretty helpless on everything. Don’t go here if you like Chinese food or have high blood pressure. This pace is not worth a penny.

VERYBUSYLOCATIONDURINGLUNCHHOUR — We went again to Ocean Buffet — food is still excellent value for price point. Very busy with both locals and tourists during the lunch hour. Excellent place to take a group of folk as there really is something for everybody at this place whether they be meat eaters or vegetarian. Good Sushi also. The Hibachi was going too(however, didn’t get a chance to check that out). Just updating to verify the consistancy in the food is very good. You never know what to expect with buffet’s …however, this one is absolutely worth eating at. Staff are friendly, great at topping up drinks and clearing plates… please make sure you give them a decent tip… I seen some peeps just give them a dollar… WTF even though its a all you can eat buffet at a decent price… it’s not fair to chintz the servers on a tip. Considering they are filling up water, pop and tea and clearing plates and making sure anything you require is adhered too… it deserves a decent tip. Sure it’s not gourmet — but you ain’t paying gourmet prices… this is decent, consistant, fresh, tasty buffet variety of food that is at an excellent price point and certainly wallet friendly in a vacation town that can seem a tad expensive. So if you are looking for a decent lunch that offers variety that is wallet friendly — this is your place. This is not a kid friendly place per se — mostly better for adults and groups of people. Not much food for kids(if they are picky eaters). — Good sushi choices — Habatchi Grill(I didn’t try this) — Fresh fish — Crispy veggies — Home Made Spring Rolls excellent — plenty of choices of dishes(certainly something for everyone) Lunch is something like $ 6.95(super cheap) for the quality of food you get

Just your typical Asian restaurant with a hibachi grill. Most items were fresh, but some weren’t…like the fried fish-I could have knocked someone out with that! The staff is very friendly, and didn’t rush us along like most places.

A very large buffet… nice selection of Asian and American foods… very good steamed shrimp, fresh oysters and clams… sushi bar selection is average at best, not as good as some Sushi Buffets but better than most… Solid Value for the money. Visited November 2012

Chinese food = delicious. I loved their General Tso’s chicken, dumplings, salt and pepper shrimp, and vegetable dishes. They had a huge selection of seafood and their flounder was phenomenal. They even have frog legs here… but I’m steering away from that, haha but it did look good. Sushi, I was unimpressed by it, and I avoided it after the first bite of something that had cream cheese in it(without warning!) I did not like their hibachi style(more like mongolian BBQ) of food. The items were nice and fresh, until the attendant cooks it and then he OVERSEASONS it with their sauce(choice of soy sauce, house sauce, teriyaki.) I tried their house sauce and deemed my food inedible, it was super SALTY then. :-\ Dessert = good. They actually have a decent selection of fresh fruit and some canned goodies(loquats!!!), ice cream(use some elbow grease when you’re scooping it out) and Chinese cakes and pastries(mildly sweet and small portions.) Service = friendly. They’re attentive. Décor = clean, nice. Prices = cheap.($ 9.99 for dinner buffet) Hey, but don’t forget we’re Californians, so this is cheap for us! A side note: best bathroom I’ve seen in a Chinese Buffet place for quite a while… lol

Tremendous variety of food! Something for everyone from sushi to pizza. The staff is friendly and just waiting to serve you. This is a buffet and such incredible value for the money, plus the food is good! They have hibachi also! I really like this place.

First — Know that I’m not a huge fan of buffets. Now — Know that I’m sold on this place! The buffet and restaurant are amazingly clean. The food(tons of it, so much variety it will blow your mind) is always fresh and hot. Service is spectacular, and the wait staff is always available to replenish your drink or answer your questions. And the food, ahhh, yes! You’ll find typical Chinese restaurant fare cooked to perfection. In addition, they have a fresh sushi bar with plenty of offerings, a hibachi grill so you can have your meal prepared to order(no extra charge, folks!), a fresh salad bar with a large variety of items, plus a bar with American food, for the less adventurous sort. You’ll find items you don’t often find in a Chinese buffet, such as squid, octopus and a large selection of other fresh seafood on the bar. Some of my favs are the black pepper chicken, crab rangoon, General Tso’s, and the seafood casserole. The«usual» sides, such as hot and sour soup, vegetable fried rice and lo-mein are above-average and weren’t greasy, like at some restaurants. Overall, this place far surpassed my expectations, especially for the dinner price of $ 10.98 for such a huge selection and great service. Lunch buffet is less expensive, as are some weeknights. For a lady who doesn’t «do» buffets, I’ve made four trips in the past month. Yeahhhh, I’m hooked!
