Wheel Dynamics

I called up Wheel Dynamics after reading numerous positive posts about them on Planet-​9 (an online Porsche community). I spoke with Eli (who I later learned was the owner of the shop). He was very upfront with me about pricing on the phone, even telling me what calculation he was using to value my trade-​in wheels. He gave me a ballpark estimate on the phone and offered to have me come by and take a look at the wheels myself before making a decision.
I took him up on that offer.
When I got to the shop, I noticed it was very clean and organized. Good sign. The receptionist was very cordial. Eli came out and remembered me (despite me coming in hours and hours later). Eli took a look at my trade-​in wheels and immediately offered me MORE than he quoted on the phone, without me asking.
Eli was very honest and patient while discussing all the extras (black lugnuts and center caps, new tires, etc.). He gave me a tour of the shop, complete with all the fancy machines (way better than my high school auto shop). I finally made the decision right when another appointment was showing up (Eli had told me about it, but the time just slipped away!).
Apparently, the shop’s main mechanic was out on injury, so Eli was doing all the work. After that appointment, Eli immediately got to work on my car. I hung out with him as he did everything himself… he stayed 2 hours later than closing just to make sure everything was done right!
Throughout the course of the day, I had a lot of good conversation with Eli. He gave «big picture» advice on my car (we checked out the brake pads and rotors while we were at it), as well just sharing stories about life. He’s an intelligent guy running an honest business – he even spends lots of his time volunteering for the community (no details to protect his privacy). Overall, I felt very comfortable with the pricing, the work, and dealing with the business overall.
That, and all their wheels look fantastic!

I purchased brand NEW Volk Racing wheels in an extremely rare size as a gift for my girlfriend. They cost me $ 2200. I have had bad experiences with tire mounting shops damaging my wheels in the past and wanted to find a shop that would not damage my valuable wheels. After exhaustive research, I was led to Wheel Dynamics in South El Monte. I spoke with the owner, Eli Sesma, for half an hour about my concerns and he reassured me that they are extremely experienced, have the best equipment in the business (they do), and that he would PERSONALLY be the one mounting the tires on my wheels.
After dropping off the wheels and tires, I came back the next day to pick them up mounted and balanced. The wheels and tires were wrapped up with padding and cardboard before I could have a look at them to make sure there was no damage. Upon arriving at home, I removed the packaging only to discover that one of my wheels was severely gouged in the hub hole area and that it had been touched-​up with a marker to try and conceal the damage (in addition to the cardboard and padding).
I called Eli and told him about the damage and he then told me that he was very sorry about the damage but a mistake had been made when inserting the balancing fingers of the balancer into the lug holes. They had put the adapter into the WRONG holes and gouged the wheel all the way down to the bare Aluminum! Needless to say, I was very upset, but I kept my cool and asked about how he was going to make it up to me. I explained to him (as I did before I even brought the wheels to him) that they cannot be replaced easily and that if they are it would take 7+ months to receive a replacement from Japan. That was simply unacceptable. I asked to be compensated for the full value of the wheel and Eli said no. He said if he were to give me the full value of the wheel, he would then own the damaged wheel and I would be left with a useless set of 3 wheels.
After corresponding with Eli via email for over a month, I finally received a contract from him typed up in full-​on legalese (I have included a picture of it for your viewing pleasure). I had the option to:
A. Give him the damaged wheel, for which I would be compensated the full value of one wheel (and then I will have a useless set of 3 to give as a gift to my girlfriend)
OR
B. Keep the damaged wheel and receive only half the value of one wheel
HOWEVER, if I agreed to EITHER of these terms, I would have to forego my right of speech and would not be able to tell anyone about my negative experience with Wheel Dynamics. I wouldn’t have the chance to warn others about how they were not only dishonest in trying to hide the damage that they had caused, but also how they did not care to make me whole by compensating me the full value of the wheel as I had asked. To make matters worse, the contract stipulated that if I wrote anything about my experience online or in any other medium, I would be sued up to $ 2500.
Needless to say, I did not sign that contract, because I value my freedom of speech much more than half the value of one wheel. IT IS MY OPINION that if you desire to be treated fairly as a customer, have honest service, and have competency in tire mounting, you should NEVER take your wheels or car to Wheel Dynamics.

these guys do great work and have very good customer service. They refinished my wheels on my 993 and they look awesome! I later went back and had them refinish my brake calipers and again. They did a great job and my calipers look awesome too! It took a few more days then they told me it would but I don’t mind waiting a few extra days for good work. I would recomend them.

Love the new look of my car! Eli is very friendly and helpful! GREAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE… Love it! Definitely will come back !!!

Another trip back to see Eli and the crew for some goodies. Fabspeed intake for my 2005 Carrera S installed. Kudos to Eli and his staff. Ignore the «noise» from the other posts as they know how to take care of their customers.

Very unsatisfied with their service. They ruined ¾ of my tires inner side walls during installation, which led to premature tire failure a few months later. I ran on my new tires flat to a safer spot to put on my spare. Had to get new tires and my rims reworked. They also didn’t do a good job on my fender roll. I will never ever do business with them again.

I only do great reviews or bad reviews! I needed to fix my bent rim and I need it done right. I was greeted by the manager Eli, who was very professional and honest. He was very upfront with me. He told me how long it will take and what to expect. After dropping it off on Monday, my wheel was ready as promised on Wednesday. The wheel was refinished and it balanced well on the machine. He charged me a fair price. I am glad that I give this place a try.

Went to wheels dynamic to get my wheels on my porsche cayenne gts rims painted gloss black and oh boy they did a great job. Drop my truck off on a wednesday and picked up on friday fast service and very professional i would highly recommend this place to anyone that has a porsche… The owner Eli very nice and professional and Robert was very nice and helpful… Most definitely will be back

When you go to buy something, and the owner says «don’t worry, I’ll hook you up» most of the time you don’t get hooked up. but the guys here at Wheel Dynamics meant what they said. Not only they are down to earth they are VERY patient as well. All these negative Unilocal reviews are from people trying to screw these guys over for the dumbest reasons.
If you have a Porsche and you are looking for the nicest wheels for the best price, it’s right here. It took me forever to find the wheels that I was looking for with a 5×130 bolt pattern that also matched the required offset for my car until I ran across these guys. They even threw on tires cheaper than any other place would, filled it with nitrogen, and balanced the wheels.
If I could give them a 10 star Unilocal review I would. Thanks Wheel Dynamics!

I live in Northern California and, after looking for the perfect rims for my 2012 Porsche Cayenne, I found Wheel Dynamics to be the best fit.
I am the kind of guy that has to see what I buy in person (especially if it is a large dollar amount purchase). So, I contacted Wheel Dynamics and after the rims and tires arrived at their shop, I headed to LA. I figured, if the shop looks small or if it is a «one man shop» with lots of loose merchandise and they don’t install on site, I just walk away. However, much to my surprise Wheel Dynamics is a full service shop with inventory, accessories and personalize service.
I could not have been happier, after 2 hours the tires and rims were on and looking amazing. The high quality of the product they sell is apparent. also the attention to detail they give to customers is the best and very helpful selecting the correct rim and tire match and the accessories to go with them.
I strongly recommend Wheel Dynamics to anyone (especially those buying on line) and I would not hesitate going back to get rims and tires for my other vehicles.
After the rims and tires where installed and the Porsche configuration change to accept the new tire width, etc. I drove my car back to Northern California (5 hrs. nonstop) with no issues whatsoever. I am a happy customer!!!

It was clear from the start these guys knew their stuff when it came to BMW and Porsche cars. I spoke to a very helpful sales associate (Cameron), that was knowledgable and able to guide me into what was best for my car. I compared prices all over and found theirs to be super reasonable and competitive. I’m not interested in getting the cheapest price, as that often means corners were cut. Wheel Dynamics got me in and out with new tires at a great price, and even better service. I highly highly recommend if you want a headache free experience.

If you need great deals on tires then come here because this is the best place to come. Anywhere else is too expensive for tires and and the service is great. So don’t waste your time going to those other places.

I called for prices on 35×12.5×20 tires and they had the best prices around. They didn’t even ask for deposit, 1 business day later they called me that the tires where ready. I walked in to the shop and was greeted by Derren, great guy very friendly. I was impressed by how clone the shop is and how great work they do for the price. I would give 10 stars and I will definitely go back and do business with them. I recommend this shop to anyone looking for all kinds of tires.

I went to Wheel Dynamics to get Nitrogen in my tires for my Toyota 4Runner and was treated awesomely by Eli and his small crew. This was on a Friday before I did a road trip to Vegas. Needless to say, his professionalism and explanation on the perks of Nitrogen was reassuring and he gave me a kick ass rate for my 4 tires.
In case you’re wondering, I made it to Vegas from Santa Monica on one tank of gas and had 67 miles left to go! This NEVER EVER happened to my 4Runner! I usually have to gas up ¾s the way there and then have around 30 miles left.
Do yourselves a favor (especially if you commute a lot and have a gas guzzler for a car) and get Nitrogen-​ized by Wheel Dynamics!

This place is an epic fail. Do not trust your precious Porsche here. They backed my car into the garage door guard rail, and now not taking responsibility to fix it. Been trying to get insurance information for the past 3 weeks with no success. Now headed to court to remedy damages made to my car.

Found these guys on the web. Got a set of 808 wheels for my 996TT. In terms of the price — 4 stars. Product — 3 stars. The reason for the 1 star is the poor professionalism. I live an hour away, communicated with Eli, to pick up the car after work at 6PM. Spoke with him in the morning, called his office and spoke to his assistant at noon. Called before I left to confirm — no answer. When I arrived (after fighting LA traffic), I found my car parked outside (albeit with a van behind it blocking any potential thieves), and no one to be found. No note, no call, nothing. I was left waiting and wondering in a dark parking lot for an hour, with thousands in cash. The LEAST he could’ve done was called me before he decided to leave knowing that I was on my way. Total tool move. Had to reschedule my work and drive back later that week, and he STILL wouldn’t give out his cell phone to confirm meeting the second time. Left there with a bad taste.

I looked everywhere for wheels and tires for my 911 C4. Wheel Dynamics had the best looking wheels and best prices, but most importantly they are Porsche enthusiasts and specialists. They did a great job on my car and I would recommend them 100%. Very honest and great at what they do.

I’ve known Eli @ Wheels Dynamics for years now. He is a great guy to work with for all your Porsche needs. You can expect great customer service.

I had my wheels refinished and Eli suggested the matte ceramic coating on the rim lips — this provided a great look to the finished wheel as they could not be diamond cut again from the factory. The refinished wheels are over two years old and still look new — well, after they are cleaned :-) ! He also supplied the factory center caps and color matched them.
Recently had him re-​balance and nitrogen fill a set on a lexus — done by appointment and was in & in within an hour.
Will have him price out my next set of tires.

Stumbled across this place when i was looking for wheels for my car. Eli and Julissa were very patient with me when i was taking so long and asking a lot of question about what would fit and what looked nice or not. At the end I ended up with some 22″ 808 wrapped in some Pirelli’s. thanks guys for all your help.
