Word of mouth is great for people who know their stuff. I heard about Chantel from my sister who knew a friend who did her makeup (a bit like Ferris Bueller, I know). My mom even has used Chantel for regular makeup purchases.
I live in Boston but was married in the NW suburbs of Chicago. Chantel was so accommodating with the trial even though she was leaving for vacation the next day! We talked about what I wanted and she listened while making some suggestions. She tried it my way and it was awful, haha! I let her work her magic and it looked so much better.
On the day of the wedding, there was a little time mismanagement due to many people being out of town. Chantel had her own family wedding the same day but didn’t rush us and made me feel like I was the most important thing she was doing that morning. She did even better than I had expected and I felt like I looked like me only better. It went perfectly with my dress and birdcage veil — I truly felt beautiful.

Oh! I’m the first! I love Chantel!!! I first got to know her when she did makeup for my friend’s wedding over three years ago. I was so impressed with her that I asked for her business card and not too much later, I booked her for my wedding.
We had a trial run a few months before my wedding. I don’t wear makeup at all and I really wanted the illusion of me not wearing makeup on my wedding day. I wanted my husband to recognize my face. So, after talking with Chantel how I wanted the natural look, she tried out what would be best for me. I was pleased. Not only did she do a full makeup, but she then took a picture so I could see what I would look like. That is one smart cookie!
On the day of my wedding, she came with an assistant since I had 7 ladies getting their makeup done. She was so professional and everyone looked gorgeous. She achieved the natural look for me.
I have suggested Chantel to anyone that is looking for a makeup artist for their wedding if they haven’t found one yet. As soon as my sister got engaged, I immediately told her to email Chantel and book her. I have friends that have hired her and by word of mouth, we are continually passing along the awesomeness that is Chantel.
I wholeheartedly recommend Chantel. The make up doesn’t make you beautiful. She enhances your beauty with the makeup. She is truly an artist.
