Gets crazy here around the holidays. I love toys r us though, my review is solely based on customer service
Jessica; brunette Hispanic looking girl behind the cash resister was rude, seemed like we were bothering her, rolled her eyes a couple times and was playing on her phone that she had in the drawer like we can’t notice, it’s hard not to notice when I’m asking you questions and your very noticeably in the drawer texting clear as day lol you may as well of had the phone out and in my face. Oh and as for my question, wasnt answered, and I wasn’t about to repeat myself. Do your job.
Rob; he was a breathe of fresh air after that crap. He was very kinda and friendly and loaded a heavy Christmas gift in my car, he did answer questions I had, and hey! No flipping phone in sight! He was great, keep him around during these crazy holiday seasons, and lose «Miss congeniality» behind the cash register.

I went to this store for a bike that showed online as available in store. I planned on putting together the bike myself and needed to leave with it that day for a next day birthday. Upon trying to purchase I learned that the store had no more in stock (despite what the website told me) but that I could purchase the floor display. Since I really needed the bike same day, I decided to purchase the floor sample. Usually a floor display is discounted right? Wrong. Not only was it not discounted, I had to pay the extra $ for install since I was told «we put it together». I shouldn’t have waited until the last minute, but just feel like this was not good business. Especially since I originally told them I would put the bike together to save the money. Trapped! Otherwise the store was very clean and acceptable.

Came here after a terrible experience at the Algonquin location. Much better. Helpful staff, good service, no trouble with the coupons or pricing. Very happy I decided to give babies r us another chance and came to this location.

I would like to commend the female staff member/​manager that made things right. I was trying to buy a playskool busy basics step start walk n ride. All of the other locations around chicago as sold out. I ended up ordering this in South Elgin which would require a hour drive from Chicago to pickup. After arriving they told me they had made a mistake and the quantity was not registered correctly. There was no stock. I would have been very angry after driving 1 hour from Chicago to pick this up. The female employee/​manager told me that they had actually called another store and she was going to meet up with them half way and pick up the item herself that day. That is going beyond the normal means to make it right. My recent experiences at the schaumburg Baby R Us have been less than enjoyable so it was refreshing to see that someone would go to make things right especially after I received a email telling me that the item was available for pickup. As I could not wait until the end of the day to get the item or drive back again, they shipped it to my Chicago address. If there is any employee of the month or commendation this female staff member should definitely be recognized. It is too bad that I did not get the name of the employee, but please tell her thank you.

Besides getting stuck in the automatic door (:, this place is good. I found it to have more baby stuff then actually games/​toys. The Babies R Us takes over majority of the store. They do however have a nice selection of toys for both boys and girls (younger children) but are lacking in the electronics department.
