Thought I should update my review. In agreement with other reviews, definitely take care of you Barber and he will take care of you.
Appointments are a must with this establishment. Good cuts come in high demand and well let’s face it no one likes to wait.
A+ on Alex, a Master of his Craft.

I’m back for one more edit. And instead of directing people in a general sense I will comment on ABC L.
If you cannot take criticism about a business, then sadly you shouldn’t be putting two cents into any situation. As a Economics and Business major at UCLA I have a better grasp on «ventures», profits, marketing and financial incentives than any other person commenting here.
Do I understand there’s a difference between walk-​ins and appointments? Of course, you’re an idiot if you think I was commenting on the prices of service. I put a magnifying yet real comment on how the service quality is being offered at the shop.
If you’re too bias or emotional to understand the sheer difference between what that is then I’ll put it in layman’s terms: I didn’t have a good experience when I had to be an EMERGENCY walk-​in and I couldn’t make an appointment. So, serviceee was noo gooood.
So how will my five year plan be when making six figures after I graduate from UCLA? Pretty damn fucking good. In the meanwhile you’ll still be here adding worthless reviews on Unilocal.

I made the switch to this barbershop a few months back and I don’t regret it, here are the highlights:
1. Convenient payment methods, cash, chase quick pay or square
2. TV always on with sports
3. If there are no good sports on or movies, the barbers will throw out random topics and just create conversations. Anything from the best basketball player of all time, who is the tallest, best video game ever, etc?
4. Option for Walk-​in OR Appointment
I read the other reviews of guys complaining about the service and side business ventures. Breaking news, if you don’t like it, then fuck off!!! I applaud the owner for running his own business at a young age and being his own boss, and if he chooses to be creative to generate revenue in other ways. then so be it.
last but not least. it’s a barbershop and if anything bothers you about it, then go take your little bitch ass to Supercuts. where they will cater to your bitchy needs,
You don’t like the fact that appointments have priority, then make an appt. yourself. If you cannot afford the extra $ 5 for an appt. then maybe you shouldn’t be getting a haircut in the first place. It cracks me up. reading these comments on guys trying to give advice to the business owner. really? do tell. how is your 5 year plan at Auto Zone working out for you?

Been taking my kids here since it opened. Robert’s the best barber around. He has weird smell but he’s cool

Great barbershop, with great service. Been coming here for years and it never disappoints. Haircuts always come out super clean. If you’re looking for a haircut on the weekends, I suggest you make an appointment or be ready to wait for a while.

This is a great Barber Shop, very certified barbers with great experience and sense of humor. Always have an HD 50″ screen on to kill time, however, if you build a relationship with the Barber of your choice, you can schedule appointments and never have to wait (waste) 2 – 3 hours of your valuable time. Very respectful energy in the Barber Shop, I always recommend this shop to all my basketball friends at the park and I recommend it to you. Keep up the good work guys because I just got my haircut Thursday right after work did not wait one minute for my cut (Barber relationship) and got to take care of personal business with my quality time, thanks shop, see you next Thursday like always or maybe Friday ha-​ha…

Great barbers, been cutting my hair with Alex for a while. If you are not willing to wait, I suggest you make an appt. Other than that you won’t be disappointed.

Robert is my barber there and always gives great service. Cuts are quality. Did I mention he’s my dodger laker ticket guy ?? A plus !

Good Barbers, Good location. Like most, I’m picky when it comes to letting somebody touch my hair. Come here if you need a clean up of any kind. Barbers are welcoming, and you’re definitely in for a few laughs while getting that cut!

If your going to cut your hair anywhere in LOS ANGELES it’s got to be here at JOE BLO’S barbershop in the city SOUTH GATE ! The FRESHEST FADES money can buy! WALK IN customers are always WELCOME but I suggest an appointment.

This place sucks, owner is a ass, thinks you should know how much to pay when you’ve only just started going, not worth the money or time wasted waiting while the detail someone’s head for a freken hour, and yes while they bullshit and owner sells his tickets, I don’t recommend, there’s other places in south gate to go to, so what if he is a proud south gate fan, your still a dick!

In the words of the owner, GARBAGE. Had been coming here for years as the customer service and quality progressively deteriorated. Barbers are preoccupied with phone calls, txt messages, emails and their side business ventures. Wait times are ridiculous and quite often barbers are focused on the items listed above, while the customer waits, and waits and waits. Unless you’re looking to buy tickets don’t go here, even then go to Stub Hub.
About the only thing good here is Alex the Barber. Professional, customer oriented and pays attention to detail. However, Alex will hesitate to cut your hair if you tend to frequent another barber. Must be a respect thing. He is the only reason this place gets one star instead of none.
Although appointments are available. This may not always work for those who’s schedule changes day by day.
