The food was so good. The walnut honey shrimp was pleasantly surprising. I also had the orange chicken and ommmgggg it was crunchy and the meat had a lot of flavor. The lady took everyone’s orders efficiently and nicely, I really, really appreciate good service. I wish I’d seen her name to give her a shout out.

So I was hungry the other day and stumbled upon Yoshinoya. I have never gone there before; reason being that I am a pescatarian, but I heard they had shrimp so I decided to give it a try. I was greeted when I walked in but as I was ordering I noticed I was limited to many request. And although I told the cashier it was my first time, she stood quiet as I ordered on my own. I ended up with a shrimp bowl with a side of veggie eggrolls. I liked the shrimp, the rolls were okay, the veggies fresh, but the rice wasnt good. Below is a picture of my order. Scale of 1 – 5. 1 being poor, 5 being good 1. Cleanliness-4 2. Service– 3 3. Quality of Food-3 4. Parking-2

Had to wait 28 minutes for rice and chicken today, not kool for fast food. For the most part i always get my order the way i like it. Seemed as though the employees are more into themselves than they are into their customers.

So yes it’s a chain fast food place and i know the food is generic. BUT my rating is for their lack customer service and how clean that place is! 1. they hold all of the condiments behind the counter 2. when you ask for the condiments they look at you as if it was a ridiculous request 3. the restaurant was not clean 4.attitude was so unwelcoming So please fix your attitude if you’re going to keep all the condiments behind the counter!

Love this location based on food, freshness and ease of ordering. Only downside is the Damn parking lot, can be a hassle because so small and the other popular places like the drink place next door to it. Fresh made the way I ordered food and friendly staff and owners keep me coming back. Go Yoshi! Oh and the Angus steak is bomb and worth the upgrade, add spicy to the chicken for some kick(free) and try the new(New at the moment) Orange chicken.

I pay almost $ 50 for food and drinks. They can’t hold the onions for the beef bowl which they do everywhere. I ask for a chicken bowl and it’s 90% rice and like 4 pieces of chicken. They had no ice and didn’t intend to refill it after asking them to. Their sodas were stale and didn’t even check them. Tried to rush us out when they still had an hr and 15 mins before closing. Asked us with that amount of time if we needed the restrooms because they’d be locked for the rest of the night and didn’t allow us to sit anywhere we wanted. Worst visit ever!!!

My favorite Yoshinoya! These folks sure know how to cook chicken. I have a special order when I come in, and they’re happy to oblige — while other Yoshinoya’s tend to say no. I enjoy a large chicken bowl, extra chicken and no veggies. Then add a lot of the cooked beef onions. Cover it in extra sauce, and eat it while it’s boiling hot. Staff here is extremely friendly. Service is fast. Pepsi establishment(ugh) but they have Cherry Pepsi so I can survive.

Yoshinoya is gross. The chicken is gross, the beef is gross, this restaurant looks dirty and they have their tables set up all wrong. I noticed they have new menu items; I may or may not try them, they’ll probably be nasty too. Good day. Son of a biscuit, I thought I had reviewed the Huntington park location! I am talking about the Huntington Park location on Florence, but I assume the food is gross in all of them.

I seriously love«Yoshinoya!» The food taste is addictingly delicious. I’ve seen many food network shows because I love all types of food. One of my favorite shows is «Bizarre Foods.» I love this show because they show all kinds of exotic foods from all over the world. You’ll be amazed what people eat elsewhere that people don’t eat here. The term that they use is «acquired taste» to describe some of the foods’ tastes. Very, very interesting. However, because I find the show very entertaining does not mean that I’ll actually eat the food. Now we went to this particular location today and was served order #126 at 12:42p.m. What they served was definitely an acquired taste. Barbecue chicken with a side order of salad with maggot dressing. The salad was packaged and served separately. So we checked our geography and found that that maggots is not necessarily a desired food in South Gate. We went to attempt to return the salad bowl in exchange for a more topographically correct salad bowl. Well, the cashier did not take our request lightly and appeared offended that we were not au courant with what they serve. Instead, the cashier(female name will not be mentioned) advised us that the food was pre-packaged and insisted that, if we did not crave that salad, then we should seek elswhere to indulge in. Very good advise Ms. Cashier lady.

After passing this chain of restaurants for over 5 years since visiting California on various occasions, and now residing here, I stepped into a Yoshinoya and had to experience it for myself. I ordered a large spicy chicken bowl, and it came in a rectangular styro box. The chicken was overcooked, covered in a brown sauce with a little bit of barely detectable spicy kick, and the veggies were in this yellowish sauce, with both chicken and vegs over a bed of rice. Rice was cooked okay, normal, but this taste did not tickle my palette. I know it’s supposed to be fast food, but I expected more. Food cooked blandly sloshed in sauce doesn’t count as good Asian fast food in my book; this quality borders on frozen food style. Disappointed. This kind of Asian fast food makes Panda Express a 5-star by comparison! even though I didn’t go to this very one, and I went to a Yoshinoya in Maywood, this was close enough, and I didn’t want to add a whole ‘nother restaurant entry, since I didn’t know the street address, and there were NO Unilocal reviews for any restaurants in Maywood, CA or in Bell, CA. which I find strange, right, with Maywood being a free WiFi zone city wide.

Japanese fast food, are you kidding me?! I’ve been chowing on Yoshinoya since I’ve been in the WOMB folks(seriously, ask my Mom). I can’t kick the habit but the food here is so freakin good! The Yoshinoya in South Gate is a brand new one in my hometown. It’s clean, fast service, plenty of the delicious red ginger that I am oh so addicted to as well… and the t-shirts are cute. They are still to buy in my to-buy list. It’s the best tasting sauce with steam rice coupled with super thin strips of sauteed beef. What more could you need from life?!
