Got yelled at for going 7 mph in a 5 mph The manager would not stop driving by my site was unloading the car once more he stops to yell at my because of the 3 car on the site I was unloading it was told if I did not move it he would have it remove after this we left and the rest of the people we where with stayed. I’m 33 year old and had my two kids with me never will I ever go to this dump again. I own a business never would I talk or treat people like this.

Go when it was old owner ship hint I was much younger I know have kids of my own and we went up today looking to buy a seasonal we set up to visit to stay with family that was there and we got yelled at for going 5 mph which I though was the speed limit and the harassed for 20 min while we are unloading mind you I have a 7 yr old and 15 month old so you let me know how fast I can unpack !!! So to make a long story short there” manger «is a asshole and because of him you lost me buying one of the nice campers for sale !!!

This campground has all of the attributes needed to be a great campground but sadly the management is neglecting basic maintenance and failing to fully utilize the existing facilities.
They have a nice pool area but maintenance is lacking. The water slide has been broken for most of the summer. Handrails are broken. Cement and coping around the pool has been haphazardly patched by an amateur.
The «arcade» is just a handful of poorly maintained machines. This would be an easy fix. Call in a vending company and have them stock and maintain the arcade. The «fitness center» and «adult lounge» only exist in the brochure.
The store hours are hit or miss — sometimes they are open when they should be — other times maybe not. One of the busiest, hottest days of this summer the store was closed. Lots of people wanting to buy drinks, ice, ice cream, etc. Missed opportunity for revenue.
The mens bathroom near the pool has most of the lights out all summer. The bathroom near the office has had showers «out of order» all summer. They cant even keep up with basic maintenance. This is one of the MOST EXPENSIVE campgrounds in the area — you would think they could keep up with basic maintenance.

Let me start by saying that the cost was pretty high for what you get or should I say, don’t get…
I wanted to check in early, only by like 3 hours, and I had to pay an additional $ 10.00 fee. OK, rules are rules so I paid it. I asked, since the place was NOT busy at all, what the $ 10.00 extra is for… I was told, it was due to the fact that they need to go to the site extra early to make sure it is clean, etc … Well, when I drove there the next day, the entire site was littered with cigarette butts, string on the ground and a picnic table that was falling apart. Hmm, what did that extra $ 10 get me again? So now it’s $ 38.00 per night (we were there 2 nights) and there was also a $ 6.00 ‘service’ fee in addition to the $ 38.00 per night… what’s this I ask? Oh, they replied, it’s our taxes… Um, ok… So now we are in it for $ 41.00 and did I mention that we were tenting it so no RV or anything like that. On Sat morning we decide to enjoy the pool area. It was okay at best. Nothing fancy, grass overgrown… So now we are there at noon, NOON, and a worker decides it’s a good time to mow the lawn around all the people who are laying in the sun ON the grass. This idiot just mows around us, meanwhile I am getting pelted with grass shavings all over me. Seriously?!? After an hour, we had enough. We then decide to take a shower. We go into a bathroom that has two small stalls and only one with a working shower head. OMG, so we take turns and wait… Later that night we go into the store to buy some ice/​wood, etc… I ask the young man behind the counter how long does the store stay open and what time in the morning does it open. He finds this almost impossible to answer and pulls out a piece of paper out of his pocket to read the times. He explains as he is doing this that the store’s opening and closing times vary. REALLY?!? There also seemed to be nobody available in the office after 5p.m. so if you were to have a problem, I guess you’re out of luck.
Having said all that, I gave two stars instead of one because the site itself was very private and huge, I did like that. The staff at the front desk was very nice too. But in the end, very costly for a campground that doesn’t really have a whole lot to offer for the money.
