Rock & Road Cycle of South Haven

While on vacation I was trying to ride some of the great roads in the area but, alas, my bike had other plans. After two flats in the same tire in two days I decided enough was enough and took my bike to Road & Road Cycle.
My husband had changed the tube in my back tire but neither of us are experts so we wondered if the reason it had gone flat was because of our ineptitude. Off to the experts to have them take a look!
We did have to wait several minutes upon entering the shop and at first no one acknowledged us which I thought was a bit odd. But, it was clear that all of their staff was busy helping people who got there before us. Finally, though, Tim (I believe) had me bring my bike to the back and he started working on it.
He asked good questions and gave us some great feedback on our attempt at replacing the tube ourselves. In fact, we learned a ton about how to replace a tube! Tim was super nice about it and never made us feel stupid. Turns out, though, that the problem was that I had glass embedded in my tire that we didn’t find when we changed it ourselves.
Tim spent a good amount of time making sure he got me a replacement tire that would fit my bike and my needs and I was finally able to complete my bike ride the next day.
My husband is a huge car/​engineering/​gadget nerd who loves to find out how things work. He’s still raving about this shop weeks later.
Also, my mom and I rented bikes from them several years ago and they were just as great then. If you’re in the area and need anything cycling-​related I will definitely tell you to go to Rock & Road Cycle of South Haven!

Great shop — super staff that were friendly, helpful, knowledgable and fairly priced! We showed up because we needed some help with a bike and were actually approached by an employee out in the parking lot — he brought us in and took care of our bike problems. We would definitely come back here!

First day of our vacation in South Haven and our son runs over a nail and blows a tire… a quick search sends us here. The guys here were super friendly and very knowledgeable about bikes. In just a few minutes my son’s tire was fixed and we were on our way. They were very thorough and even found another problem with the bike which they fixed for us as well. They certainly went above and beyond for our family and we are very appreciative!

We have purchased our bikes several times at Rock n Road. They have fair prices and very helpful staff. The owner, Scott, as well as the staff members are passionate about what they do and truly care about the customers. They are very knowledgeable and make everything easy for the customers. This is the best bike shop in West Michigan… hands down!

This place is awesome! We stayed in south haven for two nights and wanted to rent bikes for the day. The guy working in the shop Monday afternoon was very helpful and gave us some tips. It’s really nice that they give you the helmets and lock to use for no extra charge. Definitely worth the money renting from them. Great customer service!

We rented bikes from Rock-​n-​Road for a camping trip at nearby Van Buren State Park. All the arrangements were made over the phone, and the guys were able to drop off AND pick up the bikes from our camp site for a small extra fee. The bikes were AWESOME (Giant Brand, Sedona Model) and really made our camping experiences that much better. We were able to zip all over the park and to the beach with ease! The bikes were well maintained and easy to ride, very comfortable. Many thanks to the team at RnR. Well done!

Rock & Road Cycle has maintained our bikes for many years. They clearly care about their customers and the biking experience. Their prices are fair, and their communications with customers is always prompt. They display a concern for biking safety.
