If I left DC with anything less than a full tank(and resisted the alluring call of my favorite WAWA), this is about as far as I dare head on the trip to my folks without getting fuel. I-85 is pretty rural in this part of VA /NC and options for gas right off the highway are pretty limited. The convenience store is ok, small but decently stocked. The gas lanes can be either a breeze or a nightmare though as there’s not much space dedicated for just store access so people kind of park wherever sometimes. Or they leave their cars at the pump, while other people have also parked in the drive space so you might have to wait a bit before you can pull up to a pump on the correct side as just driving around can be a bit interesting. I still end up coming here over the other stations at the exit so its not that bad — and I’m not one known for patience.
