The food here was excellent: very fresh and healthy! I had two issues with the place: the service was very slow and it wasn’t great value. Regarding the service: I tried to call about their closing time and the phone was off the hook all day. When I went to the restaurant at 9pm(an hour before they closed) they informed me that the kitchen was closed. The next day I went for lunch. When I was there I had to ask for a menu(we sat for 10 minutes without being greeted) and then went to the bar to order because nobody came to our table. Regarding value: the sandwiches are very small and you can pay $ 2 extra for a thimble of tabouleh.

We had a breakfast at this place on the weekend that we were visiting Tahoe. The food was decent, friendly servers and overall good service! It listed under restaurants with view but there is not much you can see if you are eating inside, you can see a little bit of the lake if you chose to sit outdoor which is cold in this time of the year.

Let me start off by saying that the location of this place is great. It’s right by the lake and right around the area where you can rent boats and jet skis in the summer. This is second time I’ve visited this place but the first time around we were only at the outdoor bar and we didn’t order any food, breakfast or lunch. I’d like to add that our experience at the bar was great! very friendly bartender! However, THISREVIEWISFOROURDININGEXPERIENCEINDOORSFORBREAKFAST. I came with a pretty large group so we expected a bit of a wait being seated and for service but our wait seems a bit excessive, granted they did mention they were short staffed. But, on top of this it seemed not only were they short staffer but short stock. please tell me how you can be a breakfast establishment and run out of pancakes… and sourdough toast… That just does not make sense to me… Our server was very friendly and helpful. No complaints about service The food was average. nothing spectacular. however for the price I felt as if I definitely overpaid. Since we came with such a large group I can give a lot of info on the different dishes. Greek Breakfast was good. kind of hard to screw up gyro. Baklava French Toast was also good. again nothing spectacular though. Steak and Eggs: it was ordered medium rare and came out EXTREMELY well done. Crab Benedict: good but there are better versions out there for sure. again, nothing special. Frittata: it was good but on the menu it is supposed to come with shrimp and there was no shrimp to be seen anywhere in that frittata… Breakfast Gyro: very basic but tasty. again hard to screw up gyro overall our group was not impressed and felt we had overpaid especially since we had dishes that were clearly overcooked and missing key components. If you have no other options I would recommend this place or if you are there for the location and want to eat with a lake view. other wise I’m sure there are other cafes in the area that are much more reasonable with same quality food.

This is a smaller restaurant specializing in Greek food. We all tried something a little different. Fish, salad, gyro and cheesesteak. The fries have a seasoning on them that makes them flavorful. The Greek salad was good but the salad dressing was a little bland. Very fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I like how the cucumbers were sliced thin and horizontal. The chicken gyro was flavorful and a lot of food with the side of Greek salad. My husband liked the mahimahi and my son devoured the cheesesteak. The turnaround time for the food was rather lengthy– maybe 44 – 50 mins. The waiter, James, was attentive and offered helpful suggestions. Would love to sit out by the firepit next time. They only had one and it was surrounded by a large group waiting for their table.

We ate at Artemis at least 4 times, once for late night snack, and the other times for breakfast. The service and food were very good. I would’ve given 4 stars, however, this morning, our server wouldn’t give us the hotel discount. The reason we first tried Artemis is because our hotel recommended it. Our hotel never gave us a voucher before, we just had to mention we were staying there. But our red haired server wouldn’t give us the discount. It’s the principle of the matter. We may or may not come back. We can always just walk across the street to get waffles. Too bad. This morning I had the French toast; it comes with choice of breakfast meat, I chose sausage. It was good, except the butter was very cold, so it was not spreadable. Oh well we don’t need the extra calories and fat(that was sarcasm). My husband had the American breakfast; no complaints.

This was a great little place with some fantastic food and good service. The hummus($ 7) and lamb gyro($ 9) were great! We also happened to be there during happy hour which had $ 3 beers and $ 4 house wines. I highly suggest you sit outside for a great view! Service was spot on and I will absolutely come back here next time I am in Tahoe. I would love to try breakfast here sometime. I am sure it is just as fabulous!

I have been to the Artemis on South Lake Tahoe Blvd before and wanted to try this one on Ski Run. Wow what a difference. I couldn’t get over how much better the atmosphere was so much more inviting. The food coupled with the service and atmosphere was to perfection. Will be back.

Never would I thought to mix gyro meat with breakfast food(potatoes, eggs, and cheese) and wrap it in a pita bread. Great alternative to the usual breakfast sandwich or burrito. Take each bite with the house hot sauce and Tzatziki, perfect. Oh also try the Artemis fries!

I’ve never had a Greek style breakfast before until this past weekend. And let me tell you… It was delish! I had the Baklava French Toast and wow! I loved how the toast was encrusted with pistachio nuts. Very clever! It added another texture every time I bit into the toast. Usually French toast is soggy, but I loved how this was soggy and crunchy. The syrup had an orange flavor to it and wasn’t overly sweet! Bacon was good as usual so not much to say there. I did try my friend’s chicken gyro. YUM! Their fries are addicting too! Btw must get their hot drinks. Very calming.

Best breakfast option in Tahoe, seriously folks!!! I’m not a diner food fan(since I can make that kind of fare at home) so was very much impressed by the food quality and the phenomenal service at Artemis Lakefront Café. The portions were huge and moderately priced and the beverage options welcome — from hot cocktails(perfect for the snowy weather) to house special coffees/teas topped with whip. I made a last minute(think an hour beforehand) reservation for a party of 14 and the staff happily secured us large, neighboring tables. Our group was pleasantly surprised by the number of breakfast options and beverages, as well as the fact that the full menu was available at 10:30am. The three star breakfast dishes: –River Breakfast was excellent. Large pieces of deboned trout, crusted in nuts. Perfect for vegetarians. –Crab Benedict was tasty. Generous crab cake portions atop english muffins with a delicious hollandaise sauce. –Baklava French Toast was akin to loukomades, but french toast style. A must for those who enjoy a sweeter breakfast. Most items were accompanied by potatoes which were well cooked and seasoned. A few of us enjoyed the hot toddy(a pleasant surprise!) and others had various coffee drinks. The espresso was strong; the spiced chai not diluted at all; and the hazelnut syrup expresso milk drink a must even for a non-coffee drinker such as myself. Again, absolutely stellar service. The staff was very gracious and accommodating, ensuring that our group had everything we needed during our meal. Looking forward to Tahoe in the summer… and Artemis for breakfast.

Ate here for dinner and breakfast. Cynthia was our server for Dinner and was AWESOME! We got a discount for staying at Lake Tahoe Vacation resort. Started off with the lemon chicken rice soup and the spicy lentil soup. Both delicious. 10 times better than Georges Greek Café in socal. Ordered the secret menu Venison Pita with Artemis fries plus feta for my bf. So YUMMY!!! I ordered the stuffed chicken breast. Oh man the flavors were the BOMB. We each had a moscow mule… mine with citron lemon vodka bc we came during happy hour. A legit moscow mule under $ 10 bucks already gets a 5 stars from me. :) So dinner is not rated as much as breakfast but certainly deserves a 5 star. Came back for breakfast and ordered what all Unilocaled rave about. The crab benedict. Service took a while but the flavors were worth it!

Came in for a late breakfast after our stay near heavenly village, and we were drawn to this place after reading raving reviews about their fries. I love fries. I also read that they have a crab benedict so of course we gravitated towards Artemis. We came in and were told by the bartender to pick any table and someone would be over. We sat and it took a little while before we got service despite the restaurant being fairly quiet. Our waitress was very sweet so that made up for the wait. I ordered the Crab benedict of course, with which i substituted the fries for the roasted breakfast potatoes. My friend ordered the breakfast gyro. Both were good! The fries were definitely awesome but i was disappointed that they didn’t have ranch. They instead had a house made mayo based spicy sauce. It was good, but it wasn’t ranch. Our food overall was pretty good and the service was ok, but it seemed like the waitresses forgot about their tables after taking our order. No biggie, i’d definitely be back and try more from the menu!

Fish N’ Chips with a Fantastic Twist on it here at Artemis. When you walk up to this place your greeted with a beautiful fire pit, a nice lounge area for outdoor seating. With what I would think is a beautiful view of the lake. When approaching the front door, you walk in an see a very well lit, well open room with a full bar an are welcomed by staff, like your a friend. Now I think when it’s slow like it was tonight, you may pick your seat. But possibly when it’s busy, your hostess seats you. When we were seated, we were presented with a menu, an questioned about a beverage of our choice. We only had water, but after 5−10min of overlooking the menu the waitress approached us with«Are you guys needing another minute or two» I questioned her on her thoughts or experience with the food here she pretty much went over, what she has had and what she has enjoyed. After a few minutes we choose, and she put our order in.(2) Fish N’ Chips please, we waited about 15−20min which I truly didnt mind. Depending on how the place looked, the food had to be twice as good. When receiving our order, just the presentations was amazingly well put together, it has come with Lemon, she brought us Malt Vinegar, but WoW! Without all that you can still enjoy it. With seasoned fries, and Mahi-Mahi beer batered fish, this meal was very delightful, and very very good. With enough seasoning and their special Artemis Sauce it was a perfect meal that I really enjoyed. I will be back, and will be talking about this place.

We ate a the Artemis three times during our week long stay, the week of 10÷30÷15 through 11÷06÷15. We were pleasantly surprised to see Mo working tables when we went in for dinner, our first night. After all, we hadn’t been in, in almost a year. Although Mo was not our server, we promised her we would be back later in the week, but we never meshed our schedule with her work hours. Still, the food was always wonderful. Sorry to have missed Mo this trip. Leslie had the Eggplant Parmesan with the Traditional Greek Lemon Soup. She says both were to die for. And while I’ve thought eggplant to be a vile weed unfit for human consumption, I must admit… The bite I had of Leslie’s Eggplant Parmesan was quite tasty. It’s clear Artemis does eggplant right. I’d even consider ordering it there, next time we visit. I had the Gyro Platter for either both my dinners there, or the Gyro Breakfast during our morning visit. The boys alternated between their Cheeseburgers or the Fish n’ Chips, which they both loved. Finally, Leslie and I took an order of Baklava with Honey to our room. A nice way to top off the evening. We’ll catch up to Mo the next time we are in town!

Customer service here is PHENOMENAL! I cannot explain it anymore!(WAYTOGOARTEMIS!) A Greek and Mediterranean brunch… REALLY! OKAY… This place introduced me to real food! I came here while in Tahoe for my first time and I LOVED it! This restaurant is located in the marina area on Ski Run Blvd right next to the beautiful lake view with tons of parking available. Seating is available inside and outside. There is an area in the back that is for big groups that are able to sit more than 20 people. I walked in and instantly noticed the bar once I entered! Wait… So you’re telling me I can have a cocktail for breakfast? YESSS!!! Many people in my group was getting dark liquor drinks so I walked up to the bar and spoke to Victoria and Lauren the two lovely bartenders and explained to them that I was interested in a drink but I wanted something with clear liquor in it. Victoria was amazing and told me don’t worry she would bring the drink to me. A couple minutes later Victoria brought me a Pain Killer drink(White Rum, Coconut Juice, OJ and Nutmeg) this drink was BOMB.COM! The pictures explain it all. Thank you Victoria!!! I ordered the Crab Benedict with bacon and Sausage and EVERYTHING was delicious! I scraped my plate cleannnn! Our server was James and he was a pleasure to have as a waiter. Our food came out pronto and he as well as Victoria consistently checked in on our table to see how we were doing. This restaurant also serves Greek pita breakfast as well which really makes this place stand out! I hear their famous for their fries so that’s the next thing I have to try when I come back here! Until next time Artemis!

Woo-Hoo! Crabs Benedict! Daddy’s Doin His Snoopy Dance! SITREP The Artemis Lakefront Café(Artemis) has show itself to be a great breakfast /brunching spot on the shores of Lake Tahoe! SETUP Props to my friends Michael & Ly for taking a bunch of us for breakfast here at Artemis. Since the menu is quite extensive and staff awesomely friendly, these two energetic Unilocalers from Reno organized a wonderful event here: My buddies Jessica & Lucy and I(along with our friends from Salt Lake City and San Diego) were lucky to get James as our server, and despite a soft cast on his foot for torn ligaments, the dude was spry like a California surfer dude hangin 10 on his board [though in fact, James is from England and came over to play professional soccer but got into a soccer accident.] LEMENU There were so many delicious options, but I honed in on the Crabs Benedict since this is one of those delicious random items you don’t see too many places, but when you DO, I like to pull the trigger on it. My bottom line opinion? * Better than the Crabs Benedict I’ve had in Sacramento; but, * Not quite on par with Monterey Bay, but dam close It was tender, and plentiful — for $ 14 it gave me two crab patties, each on top of their half muffin with a soft boiled egg. Delicious! But there are ways to season the crab that I think a restaurant of this caliber could definitely do better. But still dam good. CHOCOLATEPUFFY! Did I mention that their Chocolate Crème Puffs KICKASS? :D THELOWDOWN Artemis is a great breakfast and brunch spot on the shores of Lake Tahoe that is the perfect to wake up to and enjoy the beautiful scenery spread out before you…

Have been meaning to come all summer since my brother raved about the food. Glad I was finally able to make it. Today was too cold to sit on the patio – there were some brave souls out there. Burrrr. I had the Crab Benedict and it was wonderful. The homemade salsa was perfect on the eggs… and the potatoes too. I’d like a bottle of that to take home. I ordered decaf and it was pressed to order, fantastic. The décor is lovely and so was the company.

My family really enjoyed their Mediterranean style dinner at Artemis during our visit in July. Like many of our experiences in the Lake Tahoe area, service was slow at times but we still got everything we needed. We shared several starters and favorites were the Greek lettuce wraps and Artemis fries. I enjoyed a kebab plate with vegetables, rice pilaf with toasted almonds, and tabbouleh salad. The hot sauce and garlic sauce served alongside were fantastic. I actually wanted to return to this restaurant for another meal, but never got a chance. I’d definitely go back on another visit!

This is our second time at this restaurant on a visit to the area. There was about a 13 month time difference between the first and second visit. The first time we came, we had a very large group of about 20 and although we didn’t write a review at the time we probably should have noted that the wait time for the food was outrageous. We talked to the manager and learned that the delay was due to a wedding event that they were having in the back room that was running late and in turn caused the kitchen to become overwhelmed and majorly delayed. We weren’t so thrilled about the excessive weight but fortunately the food was good when I did come. I also think they might’ve given us a small discount, but my memory on that is shaky. This time we came to the bar area just for something quick. Not seeing a server at first, I asked the bartender if I could order something quickly and he said the server would come over to us to assist us. We waited for at least five minutes and nobody came over so I asked the bartender and he said that they were busy but that someone would come over. Someone eventually came over and took our order. The service was good simply based on the fact that the server had a good attitude and personality. Regarding the food, it was fine and tasted good. There was one missing ingredient to my wrap, the avocado, which to me is an important one but once I mentioned it to the server, she brought back a plate of a few thin slices of avocado to make up for what was missing.

If you are looking for a place to eat and enjoy a beautiful view of the lake(Marina location– there are two locations), this is the place for you! The restaurant itself is set up more café style in my opinion and is very nicely appointed with a small bar. They literally had just rolled out a new menu the night we were there, so they did not have a couple of the dishes when we tried to order them(definitely going back to try those dishes). We ordered the Greek Salad which was huge and 4 small plates. Everything came in a timely manner and was fresh and tasty. Customer service was the star here, as everyone of them were super friendly from the bar tender to the hostess. Our server knew the menu and made great suggestions. The hostess did a great job getting us a table quickly(it was crowded) and made sure to check in with us a couple times to let us know how long it was going to be. I love Greek food and this place did not disappoint! They have a fire-pit area out front that offers an incredible view of Lake Tahoe. The only reason for the 3 stars instead of a 4 was they were still working out the kinks of the new menu items. They didn’t have a couple of the items we wanted to order and while the food was good, it was not great. The meat had a heavy citrus taste(like maybe they accidentally put too much in) and it was chewy. However the service, the view, and the potential for the menu will definitely have us coming back.
