Rad little bar with tons of character nestled in the Basecamp Hotel. Came in, turned out to be happy hour. Had a couple of beers and pretzel bites all for $ 14. Good beer selection, friendly bartender. Want to stay at this rad little spot next time I’m in South Lake.

The wurst is incredible! Tasty with a good assortment of garnishes. The beer on tap was also great. Overall the best meal I had during my Tahoe stay.

Simple place with great food and great beer. Has a friendly vibe with a ping pong table and a fire pit if you want to come with friends. The staff are super friendly and will help you pick a good beer — they know their stuff.

We had a horrible time at the casino’s. Horrible customer service, horrible beer. We were on our way back to our hotel and stumbled upon this place. Even though they were closing in 5 mins they served us beer. They have GREAT customer service too. It’s hard to find good beer in tahoe on the main strip, but if you want good beer and a nice chill place, you got to come here. Plus, they have fire pits to keep you warm!

This review is for the fun Unilocal Elite Event that took place here! I had SO much fun at Basecamp Hotel, otherwise known as the Basecamp Beer Garden, with my fellow Unilocalers. This area was humongous — I swear it probably accommodated more than 150 people. It was probably one of the bigger Unilocal Events that I’ve ever been to. As you walked across the lawn, you would see various bonfire pits and lawn chairs to relax around. Walking into the building, you are greeted by hot dog condiments, a live band, and a photobooth station. I honestly was not a big fan of the hot dog — I thought that the bread was way too hard and plain, which kind of ruined the overall appeal for me. However, they had so many condiments available, more than one could even imagine. I thought it was cute how they set up the smores station — graham crackers, marshmallows, Hershey chocolates, and skewers to roast your marshmallow on. The photoshoot was a lot of fun, and there were a table full of silly props to choose from! I had a great time documenting my adventures at the photobooth, and they kindly gave you two photos per photobooth session! This hotel was kind of like a maze. You can climb a bunch of stairs and walk across buildings to get from rooftop patio to rooftop patio. Eventually, I found myself at a patio with these REALLY cool light-up earphones. Apparently, when you put these earphones on, the DJ music goes wherever you go. I felt like the party pretty much followed me wherever I walked, and it was a nice way to shut down from all of the noise when all you wanted to do was relax this night. Attending this Unilocal Elite Event at Basecamp Hotel was such a great experience and I’m so glad I got to see it for myself!

Cool place! Great potential! Stop by and have a beer. They server beer, no full liquor license, so no full bar, just some special lower alcohol mixed drinks. Cornhole, fire pits, ping pong, happy hour! And its a beer garden, so you know its fresh, because thats where they grow beer! Drink beer!!!
