Oh how I miss my Dr. Yamaoka and … my fabulous Hygienist Andrea.:( I have such great experiences in this office. I am currently travelling and because of it I missed my last cleaning. However, because I learned so much and had a few things taken care of in Dr. Yamoaka’s office and had gentle cleanings, this office restored my faith in Dentistry and prompted me to keep up on my oral hygiene and get regular cleanings when I need them. I actually didn’t mind going to the dentist again. Prior to finding Yamaoaka’s office had had a couple of interesting experiences, from majorly painful cleanings to dentists telling me I had ten cavities which I could not afford to fill, and a second opinion telling me I was cavity free. WEIRD? What’s up with that? Dr. Yamaoaka or Andrea if you are reading this I miss you terribly!!! I just had the most painful and scary cleanings here in the Florida Keys. My mouth was so bloody and sore when I left I could have cried. I actually winced a couple times. I think I will have to fly back to Ca. for my appointments. Miss you and your awesome office. Hope you are all well!

I have been going to Dr. Yamaoka’s office for 12 years. The office staff is always courteous and their service is very efficient and friendly. The Hygenists are also very well trained and do a fantastic job. I have a fairly unique swallowing problem and they are very accomodating of getting me into the right position so i don’t choke during the cleaning. Dr. Yamaoka has about the best hands I have ever encountered in a dentist. Very gentle. My appointment almost always starts on time.

only saw the dentist once in four trips in there, cost me a bundle and I cant afford it. Nancy said my insurance pays more than they charge for service and looks like I have 100% coverage on service needed. So she set me up for an appointment to get started, and charged what the insurance would pay. Well they only covered 70%, Im still paying of my share, including the percentage of the excess that the insurance would pay as she raised the price. Thats the part that really burns me. And the service, seems ok, just have them check with the insurace company first before service is rendered so you dont get any surprises like I did. I had a deep cleaning where all they did was use an ultra sonic scraper and it cost a lot for what it was, was in there for less than 4 hours and cost about $ 800. just seems hi as I only saw dentist once for check up for about 10 minutes.
