Gary Lowe Electric

I found Gary on Unilocal and he he had good reviews so I figured I would give him a shot. First off, finding someone in south Lake Tahoe to do something in a timely manner is a hard enough task. I called and spoke with Gary, who arrived as planned when I drove up to meet him at our house. Gary put together a quote to install two dryers in the garage, which I found to be a reasonable price. I talked to my friend, who owns an electrical company and he gave me the same quote as Gary gave me.
After Gary and I scheduled a time for install, a huge storm hit and knocked out the power to the house while we had tenants at the house. I called Gary and asked him if he could go the next morning, which was Sunday, and fix the problem. Gary arrived the next morning and got the power back on for me.
Gary then arrived and completed the original work as scheduled. Everything looks great and is operating as it should.
Gary will now be our Tahoe electrician. Thanks Gary!

In mid December, after a tree fell on the power lines supplying electricity to our Tahoe vacation home, my husband searched Unilocal for electricians. We needed an electrician quick and Gary answered the phone on a Saturday. He was very responsive, calling us with an estimate after he went to the house. We received a written estimate by email, in addition to signing an authorization for him to obtain the necessary permits. He also spoke with our insurance adjuster, arranged for the inspections by the county and kept us up to date as to the progress of the work. The power was on before Christmas !

I was in a quick pinch to get electrical service out in South Lake Tahoe and had called several electrician during mid December. The first one I called never even returned me call, the second and third electricians were totally booked for the next 2 – 3 weeks. The fourth electrician said they would come visit my house and service it the next week, so I called them the next week after asking if they had finished the service, but they didn’t even have record of my call or request (WTF???). I was going down the list of electricians on Unilocal,taking the top rated electricians and calling them one by one. I finally came to Gary Lowe Electric on the list, with only receiving 2 total reviews and in super desperate need for immediate help. Luckily, Gary came to my rescue, saying he could squeeze me in the very same day of my call to check out my problem. I’m sure this won’t happen all the time, but I told him my situation and he tried to help me out with the time he had. Such a relief, considering I thought no one would be able to resolve my fix for another 3 weeks. The correspondence was on freaking point. They kept me very informed on what was needed and gave me prompt communication and reply to my messages/​calls.

Gary is awesome, very responsive and picked up immediately after hours. We lost power in the upstairs of our house on a Sunday night and he worked with me on the phone to troubleshoot it and it worked! Very professional and extremely prompt to handle any issues that you might have. I highly recommend calling him first!
