We celebrated a bachelorette party in Tahoe this past weekend & planned a class with Tara. She was amazing. Her new studio was undergoing construction so she came to us. She was so welcoming & open & made the entire setting enjoyable & fun. I highly recommend checking both her & her studio out. Thanks for everything Tara

I have been working out with Tara for about seven years now. I initially hired her for personal training before my wedding in 2009. At the end of our three months together, I looked and felt great at my wedding and felt really sexy and confident on my honeymoon. So after having my first child I knew who to call to get my body back in shape. I started my personal trainings again with Tara as soon as the doctor cleared me to work out and after three months of personal training, I was within a few pounds of my pre-​baby weight. I was so fit and inspired to continue my workouts, I actually did my first triathlon at 9 months post baby. After baby number two, I once again contacted Tara and hit the gym as soon as it was safe. This time, I was motivated not only to lose the baby weight, but to look and feel good on a Hawaiian vacation I had planned for my husband’s 40^th birthday. By the time we left for Hawaii just a couple weeks ago, Tara had helped me reach my pre-​baby weight once again.
Tara is truly inspiring and motivating and she really makes working out fun! She rarely repeats a workout and we chat and laugh throughout the workout, which makes the time go by so fast. She is also super flexible in terms of personal training times, so even a busy mom of two/​small business owner can fit a workout in at least a couple times a week. She incorporates many different types of workouts… everything from kickboxing, to pilates, to spin, to dance, and the list goes on and on. She focuses on creating lean muscle tone, and stays away from exercises that bulk women up. She offers advice on diet and often incorporates inspirational and motivational talks into her workouts too.
As for the group fitness, I can’t think of any place I would rather work out. The classes are so fun and the group of people (mostly women) who work out there are the best! The environment is completely inviting and comfortable and Tara takes great care in keeping it clean and well appointed with everything you need.

First day I went to Splié I was shy and uncomfortable. Tara and the girls immediately made me feel welcome and I felt like we all knew each other for years. Now I have been going to Splié for over an year. Tara is just amazing. Her work outs are always fun never boring. She kicks my ass and she challenges me. And that’s what I need! I always think I have one favorite class there. But I don’t. They are all my favorites!!!
Spliè makes me more confident and happy. If you also looking for spin class you must take one by Anna or Margaret! They are badasses!
Through Splié I found some pretty great girlfriend. We work out together and then sometimes we go out for coffee or lunches. Always hanging out.

I loved Tara and Splié while I lived in Tahoe! After coming across a photo from the time I spent there, I realized I had to write a review. I have since moved to Texas as an army wife, and compare every gym or fitness center I try to Tara’s studio. I have never gotten a better workout, or felt as healthy and confident as I did when I was taking classes with these ladies. London was amazing for our bachelorette group. So accommodating and made everyone comfortable. Really tailored the class for our group. Such a great experience!

Tara is an amazing trainer and has a variety of classes. She mixes spinning, weight lifting, punching, kick boxing, and dance. She has virtuous messages everywhere. A water jar full of citrus fruits for our electrolytes. She brings you the latest in work outs from her continuous education. Her pics for music are coreographed wonderfully to the work out. There’s nothing like a strong, courageous, wise, beautiful, patient, kind, and beautiful woman inside and out.

We celebrated my friend’s Gabi bachelorette party at this cute gym. We had an amazing time taking the class. The place is very cute, clean, girly. I enjoyed every move Tara taught us. The moves were very sexi , sensual and I will for sure use them in my bedroom. I recommend this class 100% for everybody that wants to have a lot of fun. Thank you Tara for the great time we had.

Tara is so so amazing, she has been training my sister and I for nearly 3 months and it has not been an easy road for Tara but she has never given up on us! We had just moved to Tahoe and found it very difficult adjusting, along with running a new business and training a lot of emotions came to surface and Tara was always supportive and awesome.
We still train with Tara and look forward to our weekly sessions!

I am a mother of three, who has been pretty consistent with «keeping in shape» after pregnancies. After our newest addition, the weight was coming off a bit slower while sticking to my usual regimen at the gym and with a few classes per week. A friend, who in my opinion, was seeing some fabulous results, recommended Splie. I’ve gotten so much more than I had even hoped. Tara and her staff’s classes help me feel wonderful, alive, and empowered! I’ve gained muscle and lost fat in all the right areas, learned a lot about nutrition, and am very supported in working on my personal goals and setting new ones. I’ve lost 8 lbs. in a little under 2 months and I’m totally hooked! I actually look forward to my workouts because I love the environment, the girls, and Tara is an amazing trainer. Thanks Tara!

We celebrated my Cousin’s Bachelorette last weekend in South Lake Tahoe and had the best time at Splie!!! We looked and looked for a fun class to take with all the girls wile in Tahoe and we are so happy we found Tara at Splie! We all felt so comfortable and had a blast learning a full dance and some special moves to take home! Tara is GREAT, and made the experience so much fun! The facility is super clean and really cute! I defiantly recommend this facility! I’m sure the fitness is great there to as Tara was a great instructor and patient with all levels of fitness.
This is my second Unilocal ever but we had so much fun I just had to write a review!

Going to Splie makes me more alive, it makes me want more out of life… I mean, exercise does that alone but there’s something very special about Tara and her group of instructors. They make you push hard… I mean, one week back and I already feel like a hero, both emotionally and physically. Splie is simply on a higher more enlightened level in the fitness world and I am so so very thankful for you.

Tara is the best fitness instructor I have met in years. I live in Roseville Ca but every time I come to Tahoe I always take her classes. Every class is different to keep your body surprised and your mind motivated. Absolutely recommend this for anyone who is into fitness and positive motivation!

This is the best place to work out in Tahoe hands down! I LOVE this gym! I am not a fan of the big gyms where there is a battle strategy needed to use equipment because so many people want to use the same one, trying to squeeze into overly packed classes, or having creepy gym rats come over to «show you the right technique» (you know what I’m talking about ladies!). The classes are a nice size and I feel like I am getting personal attention for the best workout possible.
The staff is amazing as well. Tara in particular has such positive energy and is so motivating. Whether you are in one of her group classes or having a personal training session, you will not be disappointed. She keeps you motivated and focused on your goals. Her workouts are designed with much thought and are results oriented with excellent focus on form. Did I mention that you will SWEAT?!?
I highly recommend this place! When I go, it’s the highlight of my day, and for all the other workout junkies I’m sure it will be yours too!

I am writing this on a couple of amazing milestones. One year ago I walked through Spliés door and met Tara Wallace. That day was life changing! I left that day knowing I was going to get my health back, and Tara and Splié was the place.
I was specifically looking to get strength back and heart health.
I am a breast cancer survivor. I went through a long battle. I expressed this to Tara, and she took everything in ! She watched me close, but realized I was on a mission! She encouraged me, pushed me, inspired me, every step of the way!
After one year at Splié this is what I have gained.
Heart health, muscle, confidence, friendships that will last a lifetime, inspiration, hope, strength, laughs and tears, and much more.
As I celebrate tomorrow (with my Splié sisters) 3 years since I was told I had cancer. I am in remission from this beast. My life will never be the same. My heart is healthy and full! I thank God for sending me to Tara and my Splié family!
Splié is a place that you can accomplish anything you put your mind too! We are strong together!

I started working out at Splie about 2 months ago… I was in a total workout rutt. In search of something different and fun, where I felt comfortable. Splie is the place! First of all every person you meet there from the owner, Tara, to the staff and other members are all awesome. Positive, up beat and so supportive. There is rarely a day where I am not a Splie, I am guilty of going twice a day sometimes! The classes are kick ass and so much fun. There is always something new and Tara is always sharing recipes and planning group activities. The gym environment is so nice, it is like walking into your own personal gym– well if I had a gym at home this is what it would be like… Its cozy but don’t let the pink fool you… You will get a hard core workout every time you walk through the door, just is another thing you can count on!

This is without a doubt, the nicest place to workout. The atmosphere is soothing. The equipment and room is so clean. Tara is extremely kind and motivating. Need I say more… treat yourself.

I’ve been going to splie off & on for the last few years, I originally started @ Tara orginal location on emerald bay but had attended 2 classes @ push, she’s a very good instructor, who even does personal training after a medical condition last year she encouraged me to come in & she kept checking on me to see how I was doing, & when I got to exhausted she pulled me to the side & worked with me on the side (spin class) I find this impressive!
Also her new location is a lot bigger, with other instructors there as well, I took a yoga class with kris zehren very relaxing after a long day, which mine are very long considering I work 2!
As far as a place to work out & get motivated splie is amazing, but you will be sore so be prepared no such word as I CAN’T there Tara is a no nonsense gal so if there’s a will there’s a way with her!
So I definitely give this place 5 star’s more if I could, wish I had more time to workout there is my only negative comment!

If you love spin then you need to take one of Anna’s classes at Splie! She puts her own «spin» on today’s most popular classes like Soul Cycle and RPM. She is an elite road biker outside of class and incorporates that indoors. This girl has got it all! Great music, a tough class and very motivating!

«LA face with an Oakland booty», ha heard this while cruising around lake Merritt in Oakland today ahhh felt so good to hear and I know the reason for by toned booty is because of Splie (especially the fit club and methods classes).
The whole vibe of Splie is to feel that amazing rush of good healthy endorphins. The owner Tara has that rare charm that so few possess, I highly recommend checking out a class.
