I have been using this company for several years for regular services and some fixes if needed for our spa in my rental property. I find the customer service very good(especially lately with Cindy joining the company) and the technicians reliable. Like a couple of weeks ago, Cameron, their technician, when he could not service our spa properly on the first attempt(because of our problems) he made the effort coming back again. It was during the holiday time and I really appreciated his extra effort. And a couple of times in the past, when some issues would come up, Tyler helped in resolving them promptly. They provide all around good service. thank you.

I’ve been buying my spa supplies here for years. If that’s all you’re in need of, no problem. They are priced fine and conveniently located. If you need your spa serviced, however, that’s a whole ‘nother nightmare. My spa broke last spring in a cold freeze. I contacted Tahoe Pool & Spa and set up an appointment for service technicians to come to my home. They came 3 days early for the appointment while I was not at home and charged me $ 90 to look at my filters and flip the breaker. I could have easily told them I replaced the filters a month earlier and that flipping the breaker does not fix the problem. I called to complain that my spa wasn’t fixed and the lady apologized an scheduled another visit. Again, the technicians showed up while nobody was present. They called my spa manufacturer and completed unauthorized repairs. They automatically charged my card($ 120) for the second visit even though they charged me for the first visit when no repairs were done. On top of that, the repairs did not fix the tub. When I called to complain AGAIN… they sent them out AGAIN, charged me AGAIN($ 90) and once AGAIN did not fix my hot tub. When I spoke directly with the technician he said the last charge was for the phone call to the hot tub manufacturer. REALLY? I’m paying for«skilled labor» for a kid to sit on the phone with the hot tub manufacturer? Isn’t that more of an administrative duty of a company to provide you with an estimate? Then I received their estimate for over $ 600 to repair the tub. Let’s do some math here… $ 90+$ 120+$ 90 = $ 300 for an estimate $ 650 for repairs(with zero guarantee the tub will function afterwards) $ 950 to a company to maybe fix my hot tub but most likely not. Yeah, I’ll pass on that offer. I’m a local here in South Lake Tahoe and I’m completely offended by the tenacity of this company. I understand there are many uninhabited vacation rentals who probably never even look their invoices but I’m a local with a local income and cannot afford to get ripped off by these con-artists. Save your dough. Find a more reputable company.

We are so incredibly grateful that our home warranty company picked Tahoe Pool Service to take care of the issues we were having with our hot tub. We placed our claim on a Tuesday, diagnostics took place on a Wednesday and by Thursday, we were up and running. Since then, we have decided to purchase all of our supplies from them as well. They carry a large variety of chemicals, filters and are always willing to provide us with guidance. We have had interactions with many staff members and everyone is kind and helpful. Rudy and John especially! If you’re in need of anything hot tub /spa or pool related, don’t look anywhere else — this company is the best around! Thanks again TPS!

Rudy and John have always been very good to me and our pool. We are two hours away in Sutter Creek and they have always been timely and gone above and beyond trying to help me out… John is outstanding! I purchased a salt cell roughly a year ago and John new that the flow sensor was an issue and contacted the company to get it covered under warranty and saved me a load of money. He even walked me through the installation so I wouldn’t be charged an additional service charge. I was having programming issues with my remote PDA and on a Friday night on HISTIME– he contacted a friend of his at Jandy and walked me through the fix which took almost an hour of his time(on his own time– just so I could salvage a pool party the next day). I can’t say enough about these guys… John S.

I was stuck up the creek with a 700 lb. hot tub and no one to install it when I called this company based on the Unilocal reviews. From the nice lady in the office to the 4 guys that came out today everyone was very nice and professional. Watching the movement and installation of the tub from the front driveway, over a rough lawn, thru a fence gate that was literally within 1 mm of the width of the pallet to lowering and righting the tub – it was like watching a ballet albeit with big sweaty guys and an enormous hot tub instead of young girls and swans. Very professional and the price was right on their initial estimate.

Had a problem with the hot tub at our cabin. Called this place and go someone to look things over that date. However the serviceperson did not call me back. Had to call the next day and was told we needed repairs costing over $ 800. I sensed I was being taken advantage of so I called another service. That service fixed the problem for $ 530. Still a lot of money but a lot less than this place, the difference being how much this place marked up the price of parts.

I will probably go back and give them a 5th star. Robert and Shannon and everybody else are great. The only reason I didn’t give the 5th star is I haven’t had a chance to use the jacuzzi yet. They promptly returned my inquiry, assessed the work, and then brought the job in under estimate. The kicker was that this was a few days before Christmas. They also discovered a serious electrical issue and still brought the job in within the parameters of the original bid. I really don’t know what happened with some of the other reviewers, and too be honest, it’s not my business. I am very pleased with the work and will use them again for basic upkeep in the future.

I have had great service there everytime. Even though they are the only game in town, it seems to me that they don’t take advantage of that and are happy to keep my long term, return business. Their parts and spa supplies are extremely well priced. Custom parts I’d expect to pay a hundred bucks for wind up being as cheap as $ 10 to $ 40. I am a DIYer and I try to do my own repairs whenever possible. Hot tubs can be tricky though so on several occasions, I’ve gotten stuck and called them for help. Their guys show up on time and are always able to figure out the problem quickly. This is a great, family owned business and I wish there were more of them like that in our small community.

Terrible company. If you’re not consistently checking in on them, they’ll claim to have been to your house and you’ll find your hot tub empty and filthy. When you call to address your issue, an extremely rude woman by the name of Jennifer will let you know the issue is somehow your fault and for them to come service the hot tub will be an additional fee. PLEASEDONOTMAKETHESAMEMISTAKE I HAVE, BYUSINGTHISCOMPANY.

Unfortunately they are one of the only games in town to take care of your hot tub on a regular basis — and they know it! Poor service when they come to do their regular up keep. One time I arrived at the house and the pump was not working but they had just been there the day before for the regular up keep — they didn’t call to let me know there was a problem and when I called them about the problem they wanted to charge me extra for a weekend service call. And their billing system… be prepared to pay late charges since they print their invoices, wait a week to mail them, and then expect payment within 30 days of the invoice issue date… Not really customer focused but I’m stuck with them…
