I really hate to give 1 star but this business was terrible. Not to mention WAYOVERPRICED! As a local you want to shop local. I ordered tile and decretive tile for my shower. I was leaving on vacation a week after I put in my order. Understanding that they need to probably be paid when my order came in I left my CC#. Fully expecting my tile to be installed by time my 2−½ week vacation was over.(by the front door is a sign that says tile outlet everything in stock) When I got home my contractor told me he couldn’t get the tile up because the tile wasn’t in! So after the tile finally showed up he went to lay it but he was having trouble with the decrative pieces. He called Tile Outlet to ask why the pattern was so hard to line up. Guy on the phone says he might have to toss 1 – 2 pieces before the pattern came back. My contractor was not able to figure it out. So he went into Tile Outlet to see what his problem was. The guy started to show him, but then he realized you have to toss out 5 – 6 before it matches up again. Is that just me or a total waist and don’t you think your employees should know things like this? Now this is my contractors bad for not measuring correctly on the end pieces. So he went in to order more. Tile Outlet said it would be in little over a week. 2 weeks later we call no tile, now another week NOTILE. I go in another week later to see if its in NOTILE. They said it should be in tomorrow. So I go in next day NOEFFINTILE!(mind you i can’t shower at my own house) So Chris at the front desk tells me his boss has them in his truck but he left on vacation! Are you joking?! Chris then tells me he will personally go get them tonight and he will have them at the store the next morning… knowing how this business runs i didn’t waist my time to drive down, I called. I was happy with that because yet again NOTILE! About a week later I finally got my tile. Now saying all of that I wasn’t going to write a bad review because shit happens. BUT after getting my CC statement I’m Pissed… When I got back from vacation and no tile was in I asked the front desk guy to delete my CC# and to call me and I will come in and pay cash. He then goes on the computer and tells me its deleted… Then how the HELL did my CC get charged?

The owner of Tile Outlet, Pat, was very helpful in recommending granite for our kitchen counters. Pat was easy to work with and recommended good subcontractors: Rob and Mark. The process went quickly and the prices were reasonable. Our kitchen looks great!

Certainly not the cheapest, but closer than Lowe’s in Carson City. We needed more thinset as we were in the middle of a big tiling project and it was close to our cabin. We paid $ 7.00 more a bag, but it was worth it for convenience.
