This is where the locals go. We are ½ locals in that we have a place in SLT but we don’t get there as often as we’d like. When we are at our place we usually stop at Turn3 on Sundays for the Bloody Mary with beer chaser for $ 5. That is the best drink deal anywhere. And the owner and bartenders are all very friendly. When we come in the owner always remembers us, and welcomes us like regulars even though we’ve only been there a few times.

T3 + Sara = HAPPINESS Jared is a DB(previous review). Remember folks — to leave out the ‘odd’ high and low anomaly to derive the true reality… Cool local’s sports bar; tables, p-nuts; great vibe, great ass too… Again great place for Sunday games. Everybody there; she’s a great personable bartender — and the owner as it turns out. Pool tables and order food from Artemis and pizza right there in the lot. Give it a whirl — you won’t be disappointed!

Not a big fan. This is as much a review about the bar staff as it is the clientele. This review is heavily censored due to what I cannot repeat with good conscience. My buddies and I walked there from our cabin on a Saturday night. We stopped in front so my friends could smoke a cigarette and were watching the bar through the window. Meanwhile there’s a guy inside shouting at the top of his lungs about«n-word loving f-words». «Are you an n-word loving f-word!?» he’d ask a patron. «Nope» the patron would say. «Are you an „N-word loving f-word“!? he’d ask the bartender, „hahah no way“ the bartender said. Finally he asked a patron by the door „Are you an N-word loving F-word?“ and the patron responded by saying „Just because I love me some black women doesn’t make me an N-word loving F-word. That makes me a jungle raping hardcore cracker.“ The bar busted out in laughter. Bartender included. This went on for 10 – 15 minutes. Needless to say we did not enter the bar. I understand non-politically correct humor but this type of talk being shouted at the top of the patron’s lungs was enough to make my two friends, both white males over 6’2» decide they wanted to drink elsewhere. I like dive bars a lot. In my experience this type of talk when shouted at the top of your lungs usually will get your ass kicked out of a bar but instead in this case the bartender participated. Maybe it was just the clientele that night but if you have any N-word friends/family that you love, or F-word friends/family, or better yet N-word F-word friends that you love don’t support this place and don’t bring them in.

Awesome locals bar! Joey, the bartender was amazing! Cheap drinks, free peanuts, and bingo on Tuesday night! The bartender made us feel at home, even with the parents, in a great local dive!

Truly cozy real neighborhood bar. Peanut shells on the floor puts one at ease right away. There’s always something special going on. Tuaca shots or my favorite: bingo

Bingo Saturdays with Jeff, the best caller ever and Sarah, best bartender, combined with blue collar locals. Awesome bloodies, free popcorn, peanuts,(call it lunch) and bartenders. If you are passing thru and find yourself here, your a lucky one!

My rating is strictly based on the Bloody Mary. Definitely liked the pepperonicini/carrot garnish, but for me, the BM mix was a little too heavy on the horseradish side. I did have more than one, so clearly they aren’t bad!(Just not my favorite…) The bartender was friendly and made sure everyone had what they needed. The bar itself has 2 pool tables… And a popcorn machine that I didn’t initially notice! I’d definitely come back here in the evening to hang out and avoid the casinos. Seems like a cool little local place.

GREAT dive bar… was here s. bowl sunday and they were doing thier annual chili cook off contest… abt 23 entries… we had a ball!!! after they voted(which i still think #22 should have won even though he got 3rd) they let the crowd sample all the diff. ones… some lady brought in two lg. pans of desserts… i know it had broken up heath bars and whip cream in it and it was one of the best desserts i have ever had by far! the coors were cold, friendly staff(met the owner… very nice) friendly people, love the peanut shells on the floor… we had such a good time went back every nite this week… they don’t have a kitchen but you can bring in NY style pizza from across the parking lot which is very tasty… chk it out… my favorite bar in s. lk tahoe

This is a fun little dive bar in Tahoe. Warning! Don’t patronize this establishment if you have any form of a peanut allergy, you could go into anaphylaxis! With that being said, there’s definitely an older local crowd here. Nice, cheap stiff drinks with affordable deals! I came here once on a bingo night and won $ 50. Was a good time! Super friendly bartenders and great service along with cheap specials keep bringing me back!

Located in the same plaza as the Artemis Mediterranean Grill, we chilled here at this divey, local bar until our seats were available for dinner. I thought it was called The Peanut Bar based on signage outside. Plus there are peanut shells all over the floor. Nice divey, sports bar feel, with plenty of TVs showing motorcross, hockey, etc. Plus a couple of pool tables. Drinks are your standard fare although they do have a nice beer selection.

Okay, here’s the thing: I LOVE dive bars. I love them the way some people love puppies and baby seals. Or maybe the way some people love kimchi and ugly children. Take your pick. Turn 3 is(in my less than humble opinion) the best dive bar in Tahoe. It’s small. It’s dark. It’s got peanuts all over the floor. It’s got enough shite plastered on the walls to give you a migraine. It’s got a pool table smack dab in the middle of the route to the bathroom, so going for a pee can be like running an obstacle course. And two words every dive bar needs: CHEAP. DRINKS.(doubly so during happy hour). Whether it’s silly drinks after work with friends, or FTW plasteredness, Turn 3 is the place.

There are two dive bars in South Lake Tahoe and neither are very friendly. Turn 3 is where the older locals go. This bar is also known as The Peanut Bar because there are giant piles of peanut shells all over the ground. The bartender was nice but the customers seemed kind of cliquey.

I really enjoy this bar… My fave bartender is Vicki. I must admit I don’t make it in there often during the winter, however, I typically visit once a week during summer time on my bike rides!!! Stop in for an excellent bloody mary and some great local conversation! See you all soon

Total Dive, but totally great! I love the fact that I can get as sloppy as a hobo and not kicked out! I went into Turn 3 just the other week while visiting Tahoe with some buddies. We told the guy at our hotel that we just wanted to pound beers all night and not change out of our ski clothes. He told us to go to Turn 3. I loved it. I think I even like NASCAR now.

Turn 3 is absolutely the perfect dive bar. I loved the atmosphere with multiple TVs, peanuts on the floor and a very liberal pour from the bar tender. You know it’s a good spot when the locals in a tourist trap town come and hang out. Fun place, good people, great prices and watch out for the heavy pour!
