I wish I could give zero stars. I called and asked about the groupon price as I have long hair. It is listed for 37 $ on groupon and the salon told me they would honor that price and charge me 45 $ since I have below shoulder length hair. I just walked in for my appointment and the woman at the front desk told me it would be 25 $ extra. also, when I tried to explain that the price was listed at 37 $ on groupon she told me that was impossible. I showed her and she said it was for their other salon. When I showed her it was for the salon on 73rd she said it was incorrect and that it would be 25 $ extra still. Don’t waste your time sitting in traffic. She was incredibly rude and if that is who is representing their business I would hate to see what my hair turned out. Needless to say I walked out of the salon because of her rudeness and because she lied about the price she was going to charge me.

Amazing. Quick and efficient. Very friendly and does a great job. The whole encounter was amazing. It’s nice knowing I can get my haircut without spending all day at the salon. Will definitely be back!

I received a groupon for this salon. I called to make the appointment and as soon as I told them I had a groupon the dynamic of the conversation changed. The grouping title clearly indicates haircut-blow dry — partial hi lites. The fine print indicates:” additional fee may apply for her longer than shoulder length, virgin hair, or roots longer than 3″. The lady at the front desk was rude and kept asking me to read the fine print. The fine print shows that the service is for ROOTTOUCHUP(not partial hi lights!). If they would have advertised properly then I would have paid more for partial high lights. All the other negative reviews are right. Who would want to get their hair done at this place if the service already sucks!!!

I truly don’t understand why people have been leaving such negative feed back! This place is great. The minute I walked in I was welcomed by what seemed to be the owner, had my appointment at 1pm got here by 12:40pm and was seen immediately. Every chair in the salon was filled. No one seemed to be upset with their service. My hairdresser Armin is amazing, great cut awesome color. Very happy with my experience here.

Horrible service. Front desk rep is very rude. I mean she was demanding tips from me. Tips are not mandatory from what I last checked. my hair was cut horribly. The only person I say was the nicest and deserved their tip nice is the person who did my nails and dis a great job. I don’t recall her name but she is nica. Never going back unfortunately due to that mean and unprofessional front desk lady. Like what does she think. That people are made out if money.

Can I actually give a 0 star? Worst experience I have ever had and rudest owner I have ever met. She actually said, you were buying groupon not our service and we only get $ 8 from groupon that is the service you deserve. So if you were buying groupon definitely not go there.

After reading all these reviews, I’m not sure why people are so bitter about this salon. Okay, so there are concrete floors, but get over it. I have had only wonderful experiences and YES I FOUNDTHISSALONONGROUPON. The owner, Armin, is so nice and trustworthy. And yes, I had the keratin treatment, highlighting, color, hair cut, and blow out. All great experiences!

I should have read the reviews. I had bought a groupon and when I called I was told the same thing. Don’t buy the groupon and the cost will be the same. Keratin used had a very storing smell, made my eyes tear up. My hair does not feel the same way as with my last Keratin treatment. When it was finished I was told that there is a better treatment that costs more! Bottom line, false advertising !!! Do not go there. Get your money back from Groupon!

I have been going to Armin for MANY years and I have never left disappointed. His cuts are always amazing, color always comes out flawless and beautiful and the styling at the end makes you look like you’re a movie star. He’s a busy man making calls or taking them… so what? I bet those guest complaining about that aren’t exactly«phone-less». I get so many compliments on my hair and I will always and forever recommend Armin and his salon!

I’ve just had the worst experience at Armin Salon & Spa yesterday. If you are a groupon customer, avoid this place!!! If you are looking for a smelly, dirty salon with a rude and incompetent owner/stylist to waste your time and money then this is the place for you. If not, ignore this place and check out other salons with better reviews on Unilocal! 2 days before my appointment, I called the salon to find out a few questions. The receptionist told me it was an extra charge of $ 10 for longer hair. That’s normal because I called a few other salons that had a similar groupon promotion and they all charged the same amount. She then proceeded to tell me NOT to buy the groupon online and instead she would honor the same amount at the salon. This sounded skeptical to me so I agreed but I still purchased the groupon just to be safe. At the salon, after my shampoo, Armin, the owner and my stylist proceeded to rip, yes, RIP my hair as he combed through it. Any qualified stylist knows to comb a tangled hair you start from the bottom and work your way to the top to minimize breakage. He started from the top, with his fine tooth comb, and pulled/ripped my hair. I complained and he apologized but continued do to it. He was constantly on his cellphone or taking to other people the whole time and not paying attention to my hair. After he combed my hair dry, it took him 5 minutes to apply the keratin on my hair. I’m experienced at keratin treatment as I’ve had it done many, many times before, so I know the technique. It takes 45 min minimum to apply keratin, not 5 minutes. The keratin he applied was a runny, drippy super wet mixture, meaning he had watered it down because I was only paying $ 99 instead of $ 300+ for this treatment. They should advise groupon clients that instead of getting the full keratin treatment, which I was under the impression I was going to receive, he was only going to half-ass it and use a runny mixture on only 1⁄3 of my hair. UGH! He separated my hair in 5 huge chunks and quickly applied it on the top part of the chunks and ONLYTOMYROOTS. He didn’t take his time to separate my hair, little by little to make sure that every inch of my hair was applied with keratin. No, he just quickly brushed the top of the 5 divided sections and then left me like that for 15 minutes. He did not apply any keratin to the rest of my hair, none! I took photos the whole time! After the 15 minutes he left me for about 75 minutes under this hot lamp to allow my hair to dry. He didn’t blow-dry my hair straight at all! After the 75 min he came back and quickly flat ironed my hair in 7 minutes! This is not the proper way to do the keratin treatment! The hair needs to be blow-dried and then ironed straight several times to seal the keratin in the hair. After he finished, he told me he wasn’t going to charge me the extra fee for long hair. I looked at him baffled because he didn’t even touch the rest of my hair! When I walk up to the receptionist I showed her the groupon on my phone and she immediately asks me why I purchased the groupon if she said I could buy it at the salon. I told her I had forgotten. She goes to Armin, talks to him and comes back and tells me that I have to pay $ 70 for the extra length charge. I told her that he said he wasn’t going to charge me and that 2 days before she had told me it was $ 10 as it is in every other salon and $ 70 was a ridiculous amount to pay for something that wasn’t even done to my hair. She again goes to Armin, then comes back and says he will accept $ 50 and that’s final. This man is taking advantage of GROUPON customers! I was so upset I paid the $ 50 that I called my husband and he then spoke to Armin on the phone and asked him why he didn’t tell me it was $ 70 when I first sat on his chair and that he should properly do the keratin treatment on my hair or issue us a $ 50 refund. Armin tells him he had no way of knowing how much keratin my hair would really use until after he applied it and if I wasn’t satisfied that he didn’t need our business and proceeds to hang up on my husband! How incredibly rude and what unbelievably terrible service. I immediately contacted groupon and told them what happened so they could issue me the refund and so they could investigate this salon as they are taking advantage of their groupon clients. This man has no sense of business. If you are promoting your business through groupon, your good sense is to do an excellent job with every client. My recent hairstylist left to Europe and I came in with the intentions of staying as a client, but as he rudley told us, he doesn’t need our business. The next morning, instead of waking up with super straight sleek hair it’s a complete mess. From the roots to about 6 inches my hair is super wavy and the rest of my hair is frizzy! I do a better job flat ironing my hair than what this so called stylist did! What a waste of time and money.

Their time is more important than yours!!! I made a reservation on Sunday afternoon at 2:30. It took me close to an hour to get there due to traffic and I called at 2:30 to let them know I was in my car but running late to which they responded, «no problem». I arrived just before 3pm and they had left and closed!!! I was LIVID. I had a Groupon I was planning on using and fortunately Groupon has much better sence of customer service and gave me credit for money spent.
