Lucy Agnes Couture

I walk by Lucy Agnes frequently and always dream of a creation made just for me. They offer couture gowns at a much lower price point and the designs are stunning. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. In addition to the dresses and pant suits it’s the perfect place to find accessories for evening attire. The perfect clutches, the perfect earrings and statement necklaces and bracelets. The other day, in the window was a one of a kind, long red, lace jacket. I put it on, it fit, I could afford it and I got it. I am now the proud owner of a Lucy Agnes piece. So happy. It looks so good with everything. Very slimming. Easy. Someday I will have a dress made. Thank you Missy and Jacque for making this beautiful jacket/​dress.

Absolutely do not recommend getting any dresses made here. I had my 5 bridesmaids get their dresses made from Lucy Agnes, we went in 6 months before the wedding and were told it was plenty of time. At first everything went smoothly with fittings and all that but as we got closer to the wedding date I was told my bridesmaids would have their finished dresses the week before the wedding, then it was the day before the wedding which really upset me since she knew that we would be busy with rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, so we had to send another friend at 8 pm to pick them up, to our surprise my maid of honors dress wasn’t ready. I woke up the day of my wedding and called Missie and told her we need the dress asap and she said «its just not ready, I don’t know what to tell you» The dress wasn’t ready till 3pm the day of my wedding, so we had to delay pictures since my maid of honor did not have a dress. Missie never even apologized for all the stress she caused us on the day of my wedding. I do not recommend this place, the dresses weren’t even that nice.

I was recently married on Nov 3,2013 and my sister had a Reem Acra dress design in mind for her, being the made of honor. Lucy Agnes in South Miami was much more affordable ($ 1,000 vs. $ 5,000) so she had her dress made there!
Unfortunately, despite the multiple fittings and the «made to order» dress, the finished product was poorly made. The dress broke (at the back zipper) when my sister put the dress on. This delayed our wedding for 1 hour, causing multiple subsequent delays with tacked on charges. Lucy Agnes (the owner, Missy) was called but there was no one to help us.
So in the end, my sister had to wear a different dress for my wedding. The owners had no problem keeping our $ 1,000 and made no attempt to settle with a reasonable $ 500 refund and so we went to small claims court. Instead, they tried to grab us for $ 8,000 in attorney fees, which were never substantiated. Reasonably, the fees were not warranted and we didn’t have to pay, but we did pay for a $ 1,000 dress that delayed our sunset ceremony for an hour (causing more charges for the musician’s time and photograher) and not having a dress!
I would absolutely not recommend doing business with these people! They are complete cheats and practice horrible business. They are FAR from couture.
Shame on them!
