Solid no frills but delicious food. Got the bacon and egg roll with coffee and was not disappointed. Very friendly and fast service. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants some good food from a family owned community business. Walked over from the JFK Crowne Plaza so easy access if staying near the airport wile traveling in or out of NY.

This family owned deli has been here for years, serving the community, and serving great food. The owners are super friendly, the store is always clean and well stocked. I alway go straight to the back kitchen, where mama is at, and order my food. She cooks on the old black frying pans that has probably been in the family for centuries, but they’re well seasoned. Haven’t been here in a while, since I moved from the neighborhood, but will be coming by soon. To get my deli fix. The morning rush can be a bit hectic, as you have not only the neighbors Ordering but you have sanitation, Dep, and JFK workers. Line moves fast Because of the guy making the sandwiches is on point, and knows his craft. Great Deli… Oh and the owner and I have the same birthday… April##%#?

I came here a few months ago, posted a review and photos… poof! They disappeared. I’m back and posting again. This is a real italian deli, the kind that is really around anymore. The kind of place where people will remember you by the food you order. A place that has delicious sandwiches, full of options. No matter who makes it, all good all day. This is an obviously family run and community minded business. Everyone is friendly and pretty comical. I will surely be back, the hero’s look amazing!

I liked it! A nice surprise near Kennedy Airport. An old neighborhood style deli with hot and cold sandwiches. Family run and friendly. I’ll be back.

Very good, solid food. Nice old school family owned Italian deli. In my opinion, I could be off, but it seems to be higher priced then I’d expect considering it’s a dated looking deli, that seems to haven’t had any updates or changes for years and seems to be the long time Italian family owning it. I feel there’s too much competition at lower to make a special trip here out of the norm. Yes, it could be only a dollar more here and there but that $ 1 makes me not turn my car in their direction, where if that wasn’t my issue they’d be on my weekly rotation. In my case they’d make more from my business if I felt I was getting a good sandwich and a great price.

Old school, awesome NY deli. Same family for 42 years. Fresh hot and cold heros with quality meats and cheeses on crusty Italian hero bread. Menu is pretty straight forward – any combo of cold cuts, sausage, peppers, breaded cutlets, eggs, potatoes, etc you want on a hero or roll. Geta coffee regular or a bottle or beer or pop and grab a seat with the locals in the back. Or stand at the laminate counter. You’ll see every NY stereotype come through the door at some point and the banter is always entertaining. Great sandwiches in a great setting – especially for a Georgia boy…

This place is near my boyfriends house and we always come here when we need a quick breakfast. Their breakfast sandwiches taste great and fresh and the price is right. My boyfriend says that their crab cakes are great as well. They make other types of good throughout the day! Check them out! Btw they do close a little early.

It is a family owned italian deli that I found using« Unilocal nearby». I had a chicken cutlet club on a grinder. I ate half and had half then half for dinner. If in the area and you are hungry and do not want fast food then I would go.

Good food. Big sandwiches. Free delivery. Great option for bringing food on your flight out of JFK. PS they need a website!

Perfect for a quick breakfast, lunch or snack! I am visiting NY for business and am staying near JFK for just one night. I didn’t want to eat in the airport and this was the only deli I found within walking distance. From the outside it looks like a small convenient store deli. Nothing special. On the inside, you have your choice of simple deli foods(all fresh-looking and clean), assorted drinks(including beer), and snacks. I ordered a poppy seed bagel, toasted with crème cheese. The bagel was big and freshly baked. When I went to pay I realized I didn’t have any money and the only credit card I had was an American Express(which they don’t take). My bagel only cost $ 2. Two dollars and I couldn’t pay! The man and woman behind the counter said not to worry, they wanted me to have the bagel. I told them I would come back later with cash and thanked them. Any place that has simple, fresh food and shows care for their customers, is the kind of place that deserves five stars.

I can remember coming here almost every day when I worked at JFK airport, 20 plus years have come and gone, seems like only yesterday, literally a blur. Maria, John and Diego are still here to greet you warmly. Biordi’s is the quintessential local Italian delicatessen. I can still remember Diego making me a nice«Ham and Swiss with mayo, lettuce and tomato hero» I would then proceed over to Saint Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church across the street from the deli and sit in the car in the church parking lot and eat my lunch. Airport, transit, NYPD, sanitation, and workers of all kinds still line up here everyday for some good wholesome grub. Let me tell you something, they still make one hell of a potato and egg sandwich and during the cooler months, nice hot food to warm your soul. There is a small picnic table in the back of the store for you to sit and eat, but it is first come first squat basis. A small round table with a couple of plastic chairs are available in the front of the store, but you would usually see these seats occupied by a couple of local«old timers» that have been coming here for years, mind you, these old timers were the same old timers during the days I was going here! A trip back to memory lane, everything is still so familiar, down to the faded storefront sign and interior décor. We all have aged and grayed a bit, but the excitement and joy of discovery is still there for me, 20 plus years later and probably another 20 more.

Always a good place to grab lunch. It’s well known by the locals. Nice little picnic area in the back — if it’s available. Hot and cold heroes made fresh — no pre-made stale selections sitting in a case. Everything is tasty. The friendliest service I’ve seen at a deli in a LONG time. Always populated by construction workers — which tells you it’s good food and big portions, for a good price!
