Food was bland. Everything tasted watered down and didn’t have that spice kick. I had to force myself to eat the food. Only the mango lassi was alright, but I’ve had better. The servers were nice though. Food = 1 star, Service = 3 stars

My go to spot for Indian food when I am not in the mood to cook! The best items are the chicken tikka masala, goat cheese samosas, malai kofta, and the lamb roganjosh! Get it with the garlic naan. Recently, I hosted my family at the restaurant. There were about 13 of us. The service was great and the fact that all my indian family members enjoyed their dishes speaks for itself. The place has really nice décor and is located in the most charming part of South Pasadena! Nice place to walk around! Highly recommend Radhika for a all around great experience!

My favorite. Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. It’s a small, intimate restaurant looking out to the pedestrian traffic by the train station. It’s the closest I have come to feeling like I’m in New York. The lights, trains, people, small businesses nearby all enhance the flavor of the food. Go. Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I were heading home to San Diego and are not familiar with he Pasadena area, so we Unilocalled to find this place. I think Unilocal did me wrong on this one, I should have read a little more in depth the reviews instead of trusting the 4 star rating. The service was good-wait staff was courteous-the 2 star rating is for the food. First, I’ll definitely say it’s my fault for thinking because it was an Indian restaurant that they’d have vegetarian options. I think I’m spoiled from the places I regularly go to. So that was already difficult for us ordering wise, we ended up having to order«sides» of vegetarian type stuff. There was not much flavor in the food. The Aloo Gohbi was bland, and basically had a whole stock of cauliflower with no potatoes. Needless to say we were pretty disappointed In our lunch. Of all the Indian food places I’ve tried in my travels and lifetime this was the only one that was NOT good. Also really pricey lunch for just ordering sides and not whole entrees.

LOVE this restarant. They have a Salmon kabob that is SO delicious and SO tender… makes my mouth water just to talk about it. With brown Basmati rice & veggies… well, it’s my regular choice every birthday I eat there. Gotta treat myself, right? And their fruit salad! It’s huge, packed with lots of in-season fruits, and the mango dressing — you could drink it by the glassful! SO yummy! Very convenient, being right across the street from the train station, too. My only criticisms are: with the Salmon kebob, get them to cook it without scorching it. Blackened food is carcinogenic. Also, as a vegan(who eats fish occasionally…), I LOVE curry. But they don’t have a vegetarian curry. They need to add that to the menu. I’m sure it’d be delicious.

I feel bad about posting this, but if you’re paying over $ 20 for a single meal, the restaurant should fairly step it up. It’s only fair, right? I had a bad feeling the moment I saw a «B» in their window. The Chicken Tikka Masala I ordered did not have a balanced spice to tomato ratio and it just tasted mostly like tomato sauce. How is it that I knew the taste profile of this dish is off and I’m Mexican? I guess it’s because I’ve had this dish all over town and I had yet to have one that was lacking in spices. Oh, and my garlic Naan was nowhere near garlicky whatsoever. I felt cheated on that. I really wanted to like this meal, but the price just didn’t justify it. When you leave a place feeling like they took your money and didn’t satisfy, it isn’t cool.

Not a bad place for getting hybrid Indian food. It’s not officially an Indian food place because it serves meet. But overall I definitely love the place and the meal was delicious. If you like America style Indian food this is the place to go.

Came here for Dinner and loved their Pineapple fish curry. The best curry i ever had in so many years. Try their yellow daal and cauliflower. The food was made with right amount of spices and flavor. Lounge sitting is very nice with music of Indian songs. Best services and enough parking available. Will definitely come over again.

Man, I was really sad about this place. I wanted to love it because it was so close to home but guess not. On top of that, I took the old ball and chain to try Indian food for the first freakin time!!! The staff was really sweet but I should’ve known something was up when I heard rancheritas playing in the back… My people everywhere! Nah but for serious, we ordered the chicken Korma and the Chicken tikka masala. The Chicken Korma was too sweet and the banana over powered the whole plate. I’m not use to eating korma sweet at all! So I have no idea wtf was going on there. The chicken tikka masala was pretty bland and thats pretty bad to say about indian food. The garlic naan was the only life saver and the rice was cool but c’mon it’s rice, pretty easy. Would I go again? Yeah, if you’re going to pay for me. Otherwise, dodge this place. Toodles and Maruchan noodles.

Food wise mango lassi, dal makhani, and naan are great. Please for the love of God no more gulab jamun in the kheer. It overpowers the kheer. The masala chai tastes of a powdered mix. Location: right by the railroad so it’s fun to watch. Service: decent. Except for tonight 11⁄14 we were ignored for 30 minutes and we are seated in the middle of the room. Not okay. Seating: Can get crowded on weekends. It’ll have lounge seating which is a little odd but okay. Parking: Street parking.

Cockroach!!! I was having dinner with my daughter when a cockroach crawled over our table in the corner. We moved tables and I tried to not make a scene. Instead, I talked to the establishment outside. The manager offered an insincere apology, made excuses, and gave us no compensation; I couldn’t eat another bite of their food after the sight of that roach.

SO good. This is definitely made for American tastes but it’s made very well. The sauces were lighter and more complex. Naan was especially good. The goat cheese samosas were a standout. Portions are large. Will be coming back for sure.

Radhika is located in Old Town Pasadena a stone’s throw away from the train tracks. My friend and I stopped in on a Satuday afternoon for some lunch. The interior is L-shaped and it’s a bit difficult to see the entire restaurant from any one place in the room. It was fairly empty and we were sat pretty shortly after we had walked in. I always like to compare chicken tikka masala dishes at different Indian restaurants so that I can find my favorites. Radhika’s was tasty. It was less on the thick side but was good nonetheless. The garlic naan side dish offers a sizable portion and was very good. Our waters were filled every time they were about half way empty. I concluded that Radhika was solid in its costumer service and dishes but I wouldn’t go out of my way to seek it out. If in Pasadena it is definitely a place that I would consider again to have lunch or different at, especially when La Monarca is just across the street and makes for a perfect post-dinner coffee. I didn’t find the restaurant itself especially charming but the food definitely made up for it.

This place is great. Chicken tikka Masala is delicious. Garlic naan was great. The fish appetizer was big enough for a meal and not too much breading. Kids loved that. Wife’s veggie dish was very good. Good service, nice music, and atmosphere. Recommend

This modern indian restaurant is conveniently located adjacent to the Mission Street/South Pasadena Gold Line stop. It is great for watching the trains go by and watching the various different people hop on and off the light rail. I ordered the Roganjosh which was supposed to be made out of lamb, but when I received my dish, it was definitely not lamb and made out of stew beef. Although I thought the naan was really good, I was bothered by the fact that they used stew beef instead of the lamb that was mentioned in the menu. Also, I am not a fan of places that leave their glassware on the table and then pouring drinks into those cups as they can be sitting there for a while collecting dust as they are left facing upwards instead of downwards.

Friday night was my 2nd time dining here for date night. Both times, we just walked in with no reservation. This past Friday night it was busy, but we were able to get a table right away.(We’ve also ordered take-out for the family here before). Parking: Free street parking. We parked about a block away Ambiance: I love the Bollywood Music/Videos playing. Table: We were seated at a great table in the corner with a window overlooking Mission Street & train. Alcohol: On a prior visit we had a bottle of wine, but this past visit, we stuck with water. My favorites: Goat Cheese Potatoes Samosa: Very Good Tikka Masala Paneer: Very Good Otherwise, I’d say the rest of the items I have tried have been average(Chicken Tikka Masala, Baby Back Ribs). On my prior date, I would have rated 4 stars; however, there is one complaint I have with this past visit. When we first walked in it was warm, but we removed our jackets. They turned on the air which was very loud(couldn’t hear the music) and then turned the room very cold(we had to put our jackets back on). Staff told us they were turning it off, but it took over 30 minutes before it turned off. We were paying the check by the time that occurred. A nice date spot for something different as long as they don’t turn on the air conditioning.

DINNERWITH6PACKSABSINDIANGUY (On the music video in front of our table) — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — – This little gem Indian restaurant is at old town SOUTH pasadena, next to gold line METRO. Parking FREE on the street. Not many though. Modern, clean and romantic ambience. Family business. Our server is OSCAR, he’s been working for 8 years to owner. The owner claimed he’s his best server. He’s really helpful and friendly. He made our eatery experience to be memorable with his chatty and funny personality. FOODS: Appetizer: goat cheese samosas: 2BIG pieces with incredible creams. RECOMMENDED! Entrees: chicken masala(didn’t come with rice), salmon(come with mixed of veggie and potatoes cubes) Naan: indian pita garlic bread(huge, warm and soft) Basmati rice: normally $ 4, but we got it on the house(thanks oscar). Yay! This is the ONLY Indian place that we know has WINESELECTION. The name of INTERESTINGRED section, INTERESTINGWHITE section(makes it more interesting, I guess hehe). They have TAJMAHALBEER as well, although I didn’t order but seems interesting for next time! The owner came to explain that his business concept is fusion foods to adapt with American people taste. I believe he’s successfully achieve this as I have FOODCOMA now since I keep fork the foods! Lol What makes it more interesting is the BIGTV that keeps playing Indian music videos. They’re incredible with their belly dance, 6 packs abs and bollywood dance. Very entertaining to watch while I sipped my white wine!

This hidden spot in SouthPas has so much to offer! I came here on my birthday for a quick dinner. We were welcomed and served by polite staff, and left completely satisfied. For appetizers, we ordered goat cheese potato samosas(crisp turnovers stuffed with flavored goat cheese, spiced potatoes and peas) — They were so tasty! Crispy on the outside and warm, and almost, doughy on the corners of the inside. They served two samosas on a plate over a sweet red, and spicy green sauce. For the entrée, we shared the seafood paella(flavored basmati rice cooked with seafood, mint curry leaves garlic, ginger, kashmiri chilies, red onions and tomatoes) — This dish was flavorful and incredibly filling! The portion was so big we couldn’t even kill half the plate between the two of us. I enjoyed the dish, but rather than a traditional Indian dish, the paella tasted a bit Latin inspired. This made so much sense after learning that the owner is from India and his wife is Salvadorian. Good combo! Will be back for more.
