Holiday Inn South Plainfield-Piscataway

Here for two days. They welcomed me back? They tell me I was here three times in 2012. Lobby okay, very busy mall area. A lot of bus drivers and truckers in the lot and in back. The plumbing squeels, walls are thin and folks are up late and starting engines and diesels early. Room is old and doors noisy. Curtains did not. close and were torn. Used a paper clip to keep shut. Breakfast ok. This is a below average spot for 150 per night.

This is the second time i stayed here and I got bit yet AGAIN BY BED BUGS !!! The first time they gave us a free stay ok cool I used that free stay… And I wake up with more bites ! (On my thigh, toes, butt cheek &breast) I reported to the front end of hotel and all I received was an attitude from Jasmine and how it’s impossible I got bit because people were in the room before we got here. What do I have to lie for? I don’t only have proof of the bites but I also have a picture of the bed bug on the bed I slept on !!! Jasmine needs to be fired the way she gave me an attitude about what happened to me YET AGAIN ! Now I have to wait until 12 to speak to a manager. Let’s see how this goes …

Great hotel with a friendly staff. Hooked to Ruby Tuesday so great bar on site. Room was large and bed was comfortable.
Now the reason it wasn’t a five… There was a brown substance on wall (see picture) and a hairy bar of soap left in shower (really gross)

I would completely agree that this hotel for this price is unbeatable. The room service was Ruby Tuesday with complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, free breakfast, a pool, gym and Sauna I don’t know what people would expect for such an affordable rate. I have stayed in hotels twice this price, without this many amenties.

Very disappointed after spending 9 Nights at this mediocre hotel that they didn’t give Holiday Inn Priority Club Reward points for a Corporate rate. This should have been spelled out by them at time reservation was made. If this hotel doesn’t appreciate business travelers anymore than this, then I will urge my Company to utilize other hotels in the area.

I’m surprised by the reviews b/​c I just stayed at this hotel for an entire week and thought it was great. Yes, it’s a Holiday Inn, but I thought the standards were very high and far more than anyone could expect for the price. The rooms were nice and spacious and perfectly set up for doing work in the evenings. The gym and pool were nice and clean. But what sets this hotel apart from your average hotel is the staff. Every single person that works there is just lovely. They go out of their way to be friendly and make your stay comfortable — even when you need something at 5:00 am. The free breakfast is great, and again, what made it unique is the incredibly friendly gentleman tending to everyone’s to-​go coffee request. Just lovely people working hard to make their hotel feel like home when you staying there. I highly recommend it, perfect place to stay in New Jersey.

Not very nice. next time I would stay at the Hampton inn next door. I have stayed at both… Hampton much better.

This place is kinda depressing. The rooms are not horrible but not the greatest either. The free continental breakfast is kinda sad. For the amount they charge every night, I would think they could take better care of this place. The toilet wouldn’t flush the first night I got here, and the room I’m in smells like it used to be a smoking room. One thing that is good is the gym was totally empty when I used it, and they have a pretty large dry sauna and pool.
The worst thing about this place is that the free wireless internet is painfully slow, and there are no ethernet jacks to plug into. Sometimes pages don’t load at all. I would rather pay for reliable internet than to have to deal with unreliable connectivity. But that’s just me.

Me and my gf go to this place all the time the rooms are always clean and well kept. The people at the check in desk are nice and the check in is quick. I don’t recommend getting the president suite because the two times we have gotten it the room was never ready at check in time But besides that its a great hotel

a) it is in a strip mall. i suppose if you like strip malls, then that is ok. the nearest restaurants are all pretty generic unappetizing chains.
b) their spa hours are clearly posted as open until 11pm. however, tonight the doors were locked by 10pm. the otherwise nice lady at the front desk was unable to rectify the situation.
