Ham and porkchops were out a bit too long already, judging from the texture. The mexican side of it was a little salty. I loved the choices of drinks, from chocolates, to lemonades, and sodas. I like the idea of putting your own unlimited toppings on your ice cream. I just wish there were more flavors on the ice cream, than the usual chocolate/vanilla mix.

No no no no no! A friend was in town visiting from the South, where buffets are king and was VERY insistent about eating here. I tried to protest, offered many alternatives, but in the end I was defeated and we ended up here around 5pm on Monday night. The(giant) dining space was almost completely empty, save a few French Canadian tourists and what appeared to be a bus full of retirement home residents… this confirmed my fears. The food was… not good. Everything was overcooked, dry and bland. Even the mashed potatoes were bad, and they’re pretty hard to mess up! The best thing I had was a small square of coconut cream pie, that was most definitely made from a box. NEVERAGAIN!

First time to this restaurant. Food was good. Lots is space so I didn’t feel like I was sitting on top of anyone. The flora could have used a mop, and the bathrooms were disgusting.

Went here for dinner at 7 – Pretty darn good! A bunch of options(great Mexican bar), fresh veggies in the salad bar, excellent(yet salty) fried and rotisserie chicken, Mac n cheese, etc. perfect winter comfort food. The manager taking care of our table was very friendly. Only thing I would say is that the hot food was lukewarm and the roast beef was dry and overdone. I’d come here only once in a blue moon when I need the comfort.

worst food ever seen. What food was out was cold and dry. Most trays were empty.

Last time me and my family were there was an awful experience. I sure don’t expect fine dining, but half way decent would do. Main reason I used to go to HTB was I could have a salad and half way decent steak, well, NOTANYMORE!!! They now have the steak pre-cut, and drying up under the hot plate. The 3 pieces you get in a little plate were awful!, so disappointing… Bread used to be fresh baked, this time tasted like day old bread, there was no broccoli!, and now they put the desert in little pots, and the bread pudding I use to look forward to, smelled like it was going bad, very sad experience. Me and my husband already agreed not to come back to this restaurant. It’s not cheap, and for that amount of money I can have a full meal with left overs to take home if I can’t finish.

I am a regular at the Clovis location at 458 W. Shaw Ave. in Clovis, California 93612. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is fairly clean. I am on dietary restrictions because I am on hemo-dialisys. But the variety of foods and the wholesome selection allows me to choose very good nutrition. My usual group size is small and yet the staff give us the same courteous attention they give to larger groups. We will continue making HomeTown Buffet our friday afternoon ritual. James Doughty II

We’ve eaten here multiple times and have never had a bad meal. The chicken is excellent, steak is very good, desserts are very good. Again, always had a good meal here, from drink to desserts. Will definitely return.

Don’t listen to the other people saying the food is disgusting. It’s actually really good and fresh! I went there last weekend because my boyfriend and I had a coupon for a $ 17.99 dinner and we loved pretty much everything we tried. I had fried okra, mandarin orange chicken, some fruits and veggies, some salad and some apple crisp. They also have an Icee machine! The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the place looks very modern with its design of each section of food! Only a point down for the rave music, which we eventually got used to.

Came for lunch one day with some friends. If you’re looking for quantity this is the place to be. If you’re looking for consistent quality look elsewhere. Some of the food isn’t bad like the salad, steak and orange chicken and some is horrendous like the frozen yogurt. I don’t think it averages out to a place I would choose to go to again.

For a quick meal with all you can eat this is ok. Nothing fancy here food is passable and luke warm, with a coupon price is reasonable. There is a good variety of foods and desserts are available, also coffee, tea and soda.

After trying the local Portland eatery for a while. We looking for a little different food. We did not dine in Home Town Buffet for a decade, may be the food has been improved. We went in this place after 8 pm. There were less than 10 customers in this huge place. Lot of food in the trays but all look awful. I rather not try it by the look of it. Even the salad tasted like soak in the water for a long time. Roast beef is tough and tasteless. I was afraid to try the cook per your order stir fry. Items in the trays looks discussing. Next time I rather have a meal at McDonald or Carl Junior.

Food is not that bad. I only go in there for beef stew, salad and cheese cake. It can be real busy on weekend tho.

This company seems to have taken over the Old Country Buffet. Honestly, the food went from being bad to worse. The food was awful during our visit. Definitely recommend avoiding this place.
