This review is for the Portsmouth, NH, Prometrics Testing Center, 200 Griffin Road Portsmouth, NH3801 I took the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Registration for Practice(«the Patent Bar») here, and man… what a nightmare. While I was taking the day-long exam the workers were having loud bar-room-style conversations with anyone willing to listen, including test takers(!). The workers’ responsibilities were to check entrant’s identifications, seat them, and supervise the test takers for possible cheating. Apparently, the boredom of their jobs was just unbearable, the poor souls. I, and others, asked them repeatedly to please be quiet, to which they started arguing with us about which decibel range was«unreasonable.» I replied that it was any range that caused multiple test takers to complain. When I asked for the workers names, they refused to provide them. Afterwards, I contacted Prometric’s Corporate headquarters who had the entire exchange at the Portsmouth facility on tape recording. To their great credit, they apologized profusely and issued me a refund. I hope they also fired the low-lifes there that jeopardized the test takers futures.

I have taken major exams at a few of these type locations, even at another Prometric site. I was impressed with the laid back attitude of this one, since some have been too over-the-top for me. It’s in a convenient location near the Maine Mall. It’s just on the street where Panera is. Good to know because directions with their address are very difficult. The bathrooms are clean, there’s a locker area to store your stuff, and very easy parking. I appreciated that they were able to get me started early, even though I was taking the first test of the day.
