R Stewart Trucking & Heavy Hauling

I had the misfortune of breaking down after a job in South Portland in my International 4300. We called some random towing company for a jump start after replacing the alternator in a parking lot and were unsuccessful is getting the truck starting. The tow truck driver got us in touch with Stewart Towing and with in 20 minutes, they were onsite with their wrecker. The guy driving the truck (who’s name escapes me) was one of the Stewart family and was nice as hell. He poked around under the cab for a few minutes to see if we could get it going then and there, no such luck.
So on to the wrecker the truck went. In the back of my mind all I could think was «there goes $ 2000+». The next day, I get a call for Dick Stewart telling me that I was all set and the truck was running fine now! There turned out to be a bunch of miswired systems and corroded junctions.
Now these guys could have bent me over and had their way. The truck was 150 miles from home and needed to be back onsite in two days, but instead of screwing me over, I got a bill for $ 535!!!
So the long and the short of it is, take your business to the good folks over at Stewart. They are friendly, professional, get the work done quickly, and at a fair price.
