If you like the taste of cheap food… this is the place to go. Gross Some breakfast items are just OK. But I would not eat anything else unless you like canned generic food. I made that mistake of ordering hot turkey and it was really bad. I will not go back.

Been to Sunlight a half-dozen times now — mostly for breakfast, once for dinner. It’s a great little place. Breakfasts are really good, and very reasonably priced. I particularly enjoy the Mexican breakfast options — and the pancakes are good. And just ate there a few nights ago for dinner for the first time(get there early, they close at 6:30). The steak encebollado was very tasty — generous portions of thinly sliced steak smothered in onion. It’s a little family place in downtown South St Paul. Nothing fancy at all, but the staff is friendly, the food is good(American and Mexican options, with a couple of Italian or Greek dishes, too), the atmosphere is pleasant, and the prices are great. Recommended.

This is truly a wonderful diner that serves food at a great price($ 5 for a full entrée? awesome!). I was suprised at the variety of food options considering that this restaurant is tucked in the corner of Marie and 7th. They offer American, Mexican, Italian, and Greek cuisine. I’m so glad that my best friend took me here, I was literally ready to be rolled out of the restaurant after eating so much. I highly recommend the homemade breakfast potatoes!
