Restoration, cleaning, appraisal by conservation experts from around the world. TCW serves anyone from the Metropolitan Museum to Antiques Road Show wannabes. A very small, experienced and reliable workshop in a small town, a 75 minute drive northeast from Midtown NYC. Another reviewer says«expensive but authoritative» but this is precisely the nature of the work. A better explanation is you get what you pay for, and that is why many TCW clients are museums and private owners with unique, rare or valuable pieces, from the Lindbergh baby’s clothes, Yuri Gagaran’s space suit, a gold and silk embroidered yacht painting, or a quilt from the attic sewn by someone’s grandmother and of primarily sentimental value.

Expensive but authoritative examination and restoration of textiles in all forms. Serves museums and individuals alike. Not sure that they sell goods — this might belong under services rather than antiques.
