Great things about this place: the gelato and the raspberry small tea cookie. Bad things about this place: the coffee and the overly sweet desserts. The coffee drinks here are palatable at best. Being a coffee snob and working here has made me switch to drinking tea during the week. Why is there no decent coffee on the Genentech campus? :(I’m still trying to figure out a way to use my own beans in one of their many espresso machines(if anybody has figured this out, please let me in on your secret). Service is very friendly and the space is great! Lots of light and a great view from the top of the hill.

Tried the chocolate hazelnut gelato and pumpkin gelato and they were both super yummy! The interior feels spacious and the seating areas are super cute. I also love that they are open 8am-4pm and not just during lunch hours. The chai I ordered was pretty disappointing. It tasted good, but it wasn’t even hot. It was lukewarm. It had way too much foam and I could taste the few chunky chai powder bits that didn’t totally dissolve in the milk. I would only go back for the gelato and pastries.

Super cute little spot in the brand-new building 31 — you can get gelato & sorbet, baked snacks, and specialty coffee drinks here. The big windows make the space feel bigger than it is, and nice & airy.

Gelato and macarons!!! Oh yeah, croissants, fruit tarts, pre-made sandwiches, coffee, and tea, too! More convenient than walking all the way to the Clubhouse, especially if you’re lunching at B33 already, this place does just the trick when you need that mid-day or end-of-the-day pick-me-up! Friendly service and tasty treats!
