Lucy’s Housecleaning

I would not ever recommend anyone use Lucy’s service. Most unprofessional, rude lady I have dealt with. She lied to me 2 different times. The 1^st, she said she would call to confirm the appointment, however, I never heard from her so I had to call to confirm 2 hours later. Then, the day before I had the feeling she was unreliable so I sent her a text to ask her to confirm but never received anything From her. So the day of, I sent another text asking her to please confirm and 1 hour later, she finally text me back asking if she can reschedule for the following week. I needed her to do it on nye because I was having a party and because of her, I now need to scramble

Lucy accepted and processed payment for 3 hours of housecleaning on ⁸⁄₂₁. They messaged back and forth with me over the next two days, even though I repeatedly and specifically asked that they call instead. I have not heard anything — no message, no call, no snail mail, no horse and carriage messenger — nothing since ⁸⁄₂₃. Now, I’ve had to do some escalation to try and retrieve my funds which is just costing more time and frustration. Since it was booked through a third party (AngiesList), I won’t be able to get a refund for ANOTHER 30 days since Lucy can’t bother to respond to paying customers.

Lucy does an amazing job. Our house just sparkles after she leaves– no matter how dirty the place is, I always come back to a very clean place since she doesn’t leave until the house is spotless. Lucy is very professional, attentive to delicate items, responsive and trustworthy. I’ve been very happy with Lucy and would recommend her without a doubt.

First of all i would like to say i have never used a maid service before and i probably gave these guys too much slack by letting them come back several times. Actually the first time she came it was pretty decent work, but it went down hill fast. Whenever she washed dishes for example i would still find obvious pieces of food etc. on dishes and utensils. You would have to look at everything before using it and likely clean it some more.
The work quality overall was probably 2 or 3 stars. What deserved 0 stars was their ability to actually show up when they were supposed to.
I used their service about 4 times before i couldn’t take anymore of their unprofessional BS. Their service sucks. The first time the maid came she stayed for almost 2 hours. Every time after that it was less and less for the same price. Just seeing how little she could get away with. The first time was also the only time she was within 10 minutes of the appointment time.
After the 3^rd visit i requested an earlier appointment date and was told OK. She showed up next time at the old appointment date instead. I requested that the next time she come at the earlier appointment date and was told OK, no problem. Well of course next time i waited for over an hour after our appointment date and she never showed. I left a note on the door saying they missed their appointment again and took off to run errands. I had guests showing up that night and was counting on their service. I was never contacted with an apology or anything.
If you care at all about reliability or respect i would stay far away from these guys.
