Harley-Davidson of Southampton

Last week I rode fifty miles to get my 07 Softail in for its 85,000 mile service. I also asked them to look into a stalling-​at-​idle issue that’s been plaguing me intermittently for a long time. They performed the service quickly and at a reasonable cost, but were unable to get the bike to stall. Riding back, it was apparent that the stalling issue was still with me.
I went on line and found references to service bulletins to address this very issue on HD 07 big twins. Of course, I’m not authorized to actually see or read the bulletins. I called Shane, the service manager, explained the situation and suggested that he look into the bulletins before I returned. He agreed, and just yesterday I rode back to Southampton, expecting to spend the day there. They were ready for me — they had assigned a first-​string tech, printed out all the relevant service bulletins, and put the bike into the shop right away. They downloaded a new profile in the ECM, recalibrated the idle air adjustment, and checked the operation of everything. The performed this service at no cost to me, and even provided me with a copy of the service bulletin. What’s more, as I was headed home looking for a gas station I noticed that they had put enough gas in the tank to cover my cost of getting back to the dealer and home again!
We travel constantly, and depend on our bike for reliable daily transportation. It’s good to know that we can count on the HD dealer service network. And Southampton is among the best of the bunch!

Absolutely the worst experience ever! (and I’m a combat vet) From the first step in the door, I was being hovered over by buzzards. Couldn’t even look at tee shirts without one of them breathing down my neck, to the 3^rd time going back to fix a problem they had created during assembly. and countless incidentals in between. Save your time and money and go elsewhere.

This is the WORST Harley Davidson dealership EVER. Don’t expect to receive quality service, or any service for that matter, because you will just be ignored. The staff’s lack of moral fiber is extremely evident after you have made a purchase. The staff glance at you like you’re a paycheck, not a patron and even avoid eye contact altogether if you appear to be in need of assistance. Unprofessional doesn’t even come close to describing this pathetic establishment. Save your valuable time, avoid frustration and never set foot inside that dealership. You aren’t missing out on a damn thing.

We diverted off the interstate on our way back to Bradley International Airport for a visit to Harley-​Davidson of Southhampton — a bit off the beaten path from the interstate!
Huge selection of Harley-​Davidson motorcycles — both used and new!
They also have a pretty good selection of H-​D accessories and clothing!
I’m currently maxed out on H-​D clothing, so I just looked around, but did buy the dealership H-​D poker chip!
Staff were friendly and helpful.
