Decided to check them out after my neighbor raved about the place. Their menu is extensive covering all of the comfort food and traditional dinners. I viewed it first online saving time once I got there. Went on a Tuesday night and the service was excellent. They have specials four nights a week with good prices. The beer selection is daunting, there’s almost nothing that they don’t have. To really test the kitchen I ordered a bowl of the clam chowder soup and the Tilapia Francaise. Really good clam chowder is hard to find but they got it right. Not loaded with potatoes, the clams were tender and the chowder was rich & hearty. The Tilapia portion was huge, it’s the Francaise(white wine lemon butter sauce) that most restaurants screw up. Maggio’s nailed it perfectly with just the right blend of sauce. I will definitely return to try their other entrees.

Great restaurant! Food is fantastic. The service has been great each time we go. The menu is a great mix of food and the beer list is extensive. I recommend for lunch or dinner. I am anxious to try their breakfast.

Horrible service, food was not good! I ordered the pasta with shrimp and crab abruzzi and my boyfriend ordered the Asian wings… our server was pretty abrupt, not much of any sort of interaction with him… he took our order, didn’t offer any bread or anything. My meal came with a salad, so I asked for balsamic vinaigrette. He comes back with the salad and I think I got honey mustard with it… he never came back and I didn’t eat the salad. I had to ask the food runner for bread and if that was even the right dressing. The pasta was NOTWORTH26 dollars. The sauce was watery, the shrimp had that fishy seafood taste and where was the crab? They filled the bowl with artichoke. At the end, they give you an envelope for deal and no deal… NODEAL! Never coming back here again.

Very good Italian restaurant bar staple in the Lower Southampton Bucks area that’s been around many years. Was at the former location across the street expanding a few years ago to a much larger and spacious venue(former supermarket I think) Very popular bar area with the 50 plus crowd I have noticed. Some of the better food items that I’ve had there that are above average is the pizza for starters. Arguably the best pizza in Bucks, the plain with sausage topping is to die for if you don’t mind going off the diet for a night. Or even their lo cal pizza is a thin crust delight to try! The New England clam chowder is excellent. Pasta dishes are very good. I have rarely had a bad meal there. Burgers are average. They are open for breakfast on the weekends, but just average nothing special and pricey. Could be a few bucks cheaper for dinner as well, expect to pay over 20 a pop unless you get a special, or have a coupon. Can get very noisy when crowded. Service is usually good sharp young kids. All in all a good bet for decent Italian food in the Bucks area. Excellent and popular spot in Bucks for all types of affairs with a spacious ballroom for catering.

Zero stars today, despite the 1 star rating. We were seated promptly. That was the end of it. No waitstaff to say hello. NO water. No order taken. No stars. We waited 20+ minutes. Probably the first time I ever walked out of a restaurant angry

went recently on a Tuesday night. We were a little apprehensive because with little kids, we’ve noticed it takes«forever» to eat there and bedtime looms. the kids take karate right next store and we have been many times. Well, last week, as usual, Maggio’s did their thing and the kids suffered. Despite the waitress asking if we wanted the kids stuff to come out first(YES) the adult food came out first. then a five minute delay, then the kids stuff Maybe not so bad, but we showed up at 6pm, and the meal didn’t come until 7pm. I complained to the hostess who seemed annoyed that I was upset. The waitress was no where to be found. the food was fine, except for forgetting all of the sauces and dressing on the kids meals,(no ketchup, blue cheeses or honey mustard) so despite the food arriving for the kids, another wait. Bottom line, go when it’s slow.

One of my favorite places to go. Each and every time I dine at Maggio’s I am reminded all over again why I continue to return. I have never had a bad meal, never had bad service and am always satisfied when I leave(usually with leftovers). And to top it off — breakfast is just as good as dinner so, no reason to go anywhere else. Thank you Maggio’s and we shall see you real soon.

Once again Maggio’s you hit it out of the ballpark. I took my wife and son and me of course out for Mother’s Day. We had great time, and awesome food, great service, and awesome atmosphere there. Matt our server and bartender was outstanding. He’s always friendly keeps you full of drinks has a sense humor and good personality. My wife and son and full rack of ribs and fries and soup and salad. I had half rack of ribs, and the salmon dinner which was awesome and also Cesar salad. And a piña colada’s were outstanding. Once again we left happy. Also keep MATT he’s our favorite bartender and server. I was just sorry that our daughter Kelly GORMAN couldn’t make it because she was working. We also took a pizza home with us for dinner today but most of that went too. Should’ve got two pizza to go.

Will come back here just for Matt. Came for dinner and in a crowd of customers Matt paid excellent attention to us and served us quickly and with a big smile. Definitely a place to visit!

I have been to Maggio’s since the 70’s. Food has always been great. However since moving to their new location, they have not remembered how to drain the pasta! It’s a shame as their sauce is pretty good! I keep going back in hopes they will get it!

Our entire experience was not bad but nothing was average. Mac and cheese for our three year old was OK and everything went down hill from there. The bacon and shrimp appetizer was awkward with hot shrimp on top of cold opposite tasting veggies. The filet was tasteless and came with heaping amounts of veggies that were also unseasoned and tastless. The saltembocca was salt on meat with cheese. I ordered the special blackberry and gin drink which tasted like tonic water mixed with blackberries. For $ 91 go to a real Italian restaurant who specializes in a few very good things not 100+ items on the menu all of which are bland and mediocer.

Happy hour good, however bartenders inattentive. 4 bartenders standing together and all I wanted was my check. Waited with other patrons for attention. Wish I could say it was the first time. Might be the last time.

I hosted a baby shower at Maggio’s yesterday!!! The room looked great, servers were very nice and Betty, the event coordinator, showed professionalism and dedication to make sure we were all happy was greatly appreciated. The food was fantastic and we got a lot of compliments on how the banquet and staff were wonderful. I look forward to working with Betty and Maggio’s again someday for another event. Maggio’s is truly the best place for any kind of event. I give the highest compliment to them. They did a wonderful job!!!

Great happy hour prices, great food, and an excellent bar atmosphere. The bartenders are all awesome and super friendly. The regulars are also a great group of people. Love this place!

Five stars for the incredible happy hour deals! $ 3 for big pint glass drafts of good beer, served up in a frosty glass. Two stars for the extremely lackluster banquet food. Attended a large catered event here and the food was 100% forgettable. The salad to start had a mustard vinaigrette that was pretty wretched. The filets were all overcooked and looked dry, and my salmon was moist but coated in a fake-tasting maple glaze. Definitely not made with real maple syrup. Definitely come here for happy hour! The bartenders were super friendly and the bar food looked way better than our banquet food.

I recently had my daughters bat mitzvah in the ballroom at Maggios. My family and I frequent their restaurant many times but never had a large party there. I must say that the entire event from start to finish was flawless!!! The food was amazing and served hot. The portion sizes were large and the waitstaff was so happy, attentive and professional. Alison Korbiak was the banquet manager that helped me plan the whole party and she was excellent. She guided me on a menu and seating arrangements. She was impeccable as was her staff in the entire execution of the party. I cannot say enough wonderful things about using Maggios as a venue for your next event. They were fabulous!!!

So my GF and I just left here. She was so excited for me to finally try this place, she brags all the time of it excellent food. What we had, WooWoo Wings, with 3 sauces, basically just that sauces. The bang bang shrimp, not bad. Soups were just ok kind of like a diner. Let’s move on to the entire. She had crispy chicken Alfredo, it was chicken fingers, some white sauce and over done noodles. I spend the whopping 17.99 comical Veal Parm. It was rough like leather, mostly cheese and sauce to cover up this«piece of veal». Overall service was bad, and the hostess rushed us. So she could close that section of the bar. Mind you it was 7:30 pm. I won’t be revisiting here ever again.

We were in the suburbs of our old hometown for just a brief time attending a family function at Maggio’s. About 20 of us ordering individually from the menu. Seems like a difficult situation for our server but she handled it perfectly with only slight assistance from food runners. Don’t recall her name, but she did an excellent job. Knowing our time in Philadelphia was limited, both my wife and I ordered what would be considered the dumbest thing on the menu in a place called Maggio’s. We ordered a cheesesteak served on a fresh Italian roll with just the right chew and spot on beef, peppers & onions and as I recall Cheese Whiz was offered. Could be we were affected by many years without Philly style food(about 40 years) but this was excellent. Admittedly a cheesesteak is Italian«style» but this isn’t a hoagie, cheesesteak, pizza joint. The bigger surprise was the Corned Beef special(Russian dressing & coleslaw) on excellent rye bread(not packaged) and stuffed with flavorful corned beef. So good that both sandwiches disappeared quickly. Doubt we’ll ever be in Southhampton, PA anytime soon again, but if you’re nearby don’t be afraid to explore this menu for some surprises.

If you come for Sunday brunch, be prepared to wait. It’s because there’s a buy one get one for $ 1 brunch deal on Sundays! Everything they have tastes pretty good too. The problem(or is it a good thing?) is that they run out of lox pretty quickly, because they buy it fresh every week, and when it’s out, it’s out. So come earlier if you want anything with smoked salmon. Otherwise everything is solid.

Had an «After Christmas Party» catered at our home. They have a great menu for catering with anything from appetizers to sandwiches to dinner options. The ribs and cocktail meatballs were a HUGE hit! The woman who runs the catering was so attentive and helpful and was always in contact with me up to the day. They provide a service for a nominal fee to come and set up. Returning our hot trays was quick and easy. They also supply your plastic cutlery, napkins, and plates that good quality. Will definitely use them in the future! ***EDIT: Changing my rating from 5 to 3 after in dining experience. Stopped in a few times for breakfast and lunch after having such a stellar catering experience. Service is lacking. The older lady at the hostess counter isn’t warm and inviting ATALL; acts like I’m asking for gold coins when seeking a booth. Multiple times i have had to wait for my check while my waitress went MIA. Paid $ 6 for 2 diet sodas that weren’t even refilled being I didn’t see my waitress(this has been a consistent theme here). And don’t ask for additional Splenda with your coffee or your food made a particular way. They look at you like anything additional from writing your order and bringing it to you is out of their way. We will be trying other places in the future.
