The first time I heard the mysterious name«Oskar Huber Furniture,» I thought that it might be a store that carried assembly-required furniture like Ikea. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it carried recognized and respected name brands, no assembly required. The store has far superior offerings to Raymour & Flanigan but is a step down from the Hendrixson’s and Sheffield’s of the world. The represented styles span from mid-mod to traditional, and the offerings tend to be easy to live with. I have not seen the extremes of contemporary or over-wrought Victorian here. What is great about Oskar Huber is the sales staff. During our visits, they have been unfailingly helpful, never hovering and lacking any high-pressure pitches. Overall, a very nice, family-owned business.
