Very professional and personable. They were also down to earth and unpretentious for such a hugh end store. they are also generous with their advice.

Most retail shops really suck, but Rotations bucks the trend. I bought 2 bikes from Ben this Summer and plan on buying a third for my wife this Fall. After a number of different frames /​bikes I couldn’t get the fit right until he and I dialed it in on their «pro fit» machine and now am riding faster and more comfortable than ever. Some of the comments below sound like a direct reflection of the consumer rather than the bike shop… give them a try.

I am sorry I didn’t read the comment about having bike serviced in front of you! I stopped by to have my bike «serviced» as I bought the bike 8 weeks ago and wanted them to look over it. I also came in to discuss buying new pedals and shoes. After about 30 minutes with Ben in the front of the store, I told him I had to go meet a friend so couldn’t buy the pedals on the spot but would return. We went to retrieve the bike from the back and to my surprise the small bag under the seat was opened. I told Ben that the bag had been zipped. It occurred to me when I got back to the car that the bag had had a brand new Lyzyne Rap13 Multi Tool which was now missing. I called Ben who «checked» in the back. He came back to the phone and could not have been ruder. His mechanic had opened that bag and stole the tool! He basically told me to go to hell. After buying a $ 3000 bike from them… its pretty disgusting to be treated that way!

This place is great. Don’t pay any attention to the reviews below. This bike store is high end but there is nothing and I mean nothing cheap about biking. If you’re looking to go around the block a few times go to Walmart for a bike and just bypass here that isn’t what this place is about. It’s a high end place for people who have high end bikes and knows what it costs to fix them.
Customer service is great and I always get quoted a great price they never over charge and the price of their tune up is par with everyone else with a few options to choice from which is great.

We rented 2 bikes for the day. Cost is $ 40 each for 24 hours or $ 10/​hr. We rode the bikes all around for over 5 hours and got our money’s worth. Bikes were in good condition and Michael who helped us was great.

Service is rude and horrible! I would never go back. If you like poor customer service this is the place to go! If you need service on your bike don’t let them take it in the back. Make sure they service your bike in front of you.

I would not buy a bike from anyone but Rick. He listens to the rider and finds the right bike. He is willing to adjust the bike for comfort at his expense. Unlike other shops that wanted me TO BUY AN ORDERED BIKE WITHOUT EVER RIDING IT; this is not the case at rotations. I have the other reviews about follow up visits post sale at rotations. My first follow up was great; handled rapidly and with care. Great selection in the MID range $ 1000-​$ 2000

i was looking to purchase the colnago c59 italia,.a 12,000 bike. so i head inside the bike shop where i was not greeted at all. when i did talk to the salesman he was somewhat interest in selling me the bike but once another guy by the name of rick came out he was trying to sell me a serrato bike. was it better then what i wanted i could not tell you but i expressed i did not want that bike and i was interested in the colnago. after about 1.5 hrs he was still pushing the serrato and did not really want to explain to me why that is a better bike, he just kept pushing that sale of the serrato. he never really explained why that bike should be my choice but he did avoid at all costs to not talk about the colnago so i left there with no answers. he was rude on several levels and didnt seem interested in selling me any bike unless it was the one he wanted to sell me. im very unhappy and i was ready to spend $$$ so im going to try another bike shop that will help me with my questions and give me the information i need to purchase the correct bike for my needs. DONT GO TO ROTATIONS BUT IF YOU DO BEWARE AND MAKE SURE YOURE NOT TALKED INTO ANYTHING.

I bought a high end bike from Rotations. Rick, the owner, was all smiles during the sales pitch. As soon as I had my first problem, he never returned phone calls and virtually disappeared. When I called the shop to complain, the response of the staff made it clear that this was his standard way of doing business; make the sale and then go onto the next customer. I would never do business with Rotations again.

I’ve had two ENTIRELY different experiences here. The first time, I waited for 10 minutes without any of the sales staff even ACKNOWLEDGING me with a greeting (and, no, they were NOT busy). I finally said, «Can I get some help?» When someone finally came over, I felt rushed and then was told to WAIT or I can be CALLED on the phone later, while he went to help ANOTHER customer who just walked in! Considering I was in the market to buy a $ 700 bike, I thought I deserved better than this and left.
Nonetheless, it was easier for me to buy a bike in town so I figured I’d give them one more chance. This time, the service was OUTSTANDING! Rick took his time, answered all my questions, let me test ride several bikes and spent over an hour with me. There was absolutely no pressure to buy. So, on this second attempt, I do recommend Rotations but I would tell you to ask for Rick. It makes all the difference.

I’ve only been once, but I had a really good experience. They sell/​service Treks, so I brought mine in for a repair and they did it for free (wasn’t a huge issue, I guess). Nikita (?) is who helped me out. Was super friendly and helpful. I wound up buying some tri shorts, aero bars and a few supplies. It’s probably expensive here, so I’m giving 4 stars, but everything is expensive out here. What else is new. Anyway, I’m in East Hampton, so it’s kinda out of my way. But for more serious issues, I’d prob go back there.

Person on staff was older gentleman who made me feel as though I was insignificant — he had other «real» bikers waiting and I was with my child and had questions. He rushed me through my questions (despite the fact that I would spend $) and was a total turn-​off. Don’t tell me it’s my turn and then rush me through because i don’t look like a real biker. i can still spend $$ — even if it’s on a child. The prices here are a joke as well — major rip off.

As a local resident of Southampton, it really bugs me that we do not have a small town bike shop. What I am saying is that this place cater’s to the transient population, not the residents. Sure they have the most amazing bikes at the store, but the prices are ridiculously high. When you are looking for a bike at this shop, you can get a «starter» bike for like $ 400 bucks… Wow that is too much money for a novice rider to pay. The rentals are like $ 35 per day ! Try to get a flat fixed here on the weekend… Fagetaboutit !!! Plus it’s $ 15 bucks. Every Sunday morning, all the transient yuppies meet there at 8:00am for coffee and a trek… usually 20 miles or more. Listen, the owners are good business people but they need to cater to the locals more, and for a more realistic price.

Great selection of bicycles! I found my townie, they placed the order and I picked it up only few days later. I bought a whole bunch of accessories (I have a black and hot pink cruiser, I owed it to my «Pink Panther»!) and they gave me a gift — free cupholder for my coffee! Very fun and helpful staff :) made my purchase easy, fast and exciting! Thank you!

The staff was busy but still very helpful and nice. The offer a huge variety of bikes, most of which looked brand new, for rental at very reasonable rates ($ 7/​hr or $ 35/​day). Overall great experience. Not to mention, biking is a great way to experience the Hamptons!

I was very disappointed in the service at this store. As a local with growing children and a new-​found interest in training, you would think they would welcome my $ 1700 for a bike… not! I went in, found a helpful gent to help me locate the right bike for me, and had to put the bike on hold as my husband had to go to a call for our fire department (he gives up countless hours as a volunteer and as a chief). My husband returned to the shop two days later to pay for the bike, and could get absolutely NO ONE to help him… even the owner, Rick, ignored him. He left angry and saying he wouldn’t go back. I wanted that bike, however, and the next chance we got was a few days later. Even though they had placed the bike on hold for me (complete with my name, phone number, and address) and told me they would hold it til I came back in to pay, they sold the bike without so much as a courtesy call to tell me they had another interested customer. Rick, the owner, didn’t even take the time to offer to find another bike in his shop for me… only got a «sorry bout that»…and I will no longer buy my or my children’s bikes from this store… I will take my money out of town.

No one should be surprised to hear that the most expensive bicycle I have ever seen was for sale here. It was a ALL carbon– Serotta? I’m not really sure but it was $ 16K. I finally got to see the new Sram «Red’ group. Just as a $ 16K road bike won’t ride five times better than a $ 3K bike I don’t believe that Sram can possibly work twice as well as Dura Ace for twice the price.
We rented townies and a trailer for a couple of days. Helmets, locks, and a promise of roadside assistance (due to lack of repair kit) were included. $ 35 bucks per bike and $ 35 for the trailer.
This is a really well equipped and stocked INDEPENDENT bike shop.
It took me a minute to find a fault to deduct from a five star rating, but here it is: we were told that we could have a flag for out trailer, but there was no where to attach it. There was, and I ground scored a reflective pole on the road side and attached it to the rental trailer.
