The cheesecakes and burnt butter cookies are to die for. I love this place and am always sorry when it’s a Monday and they are closed. Thanksgiving with the cranberry chocolate cheesecake was amazing.

Stopped in while we were in the plaza for something else. I was unsure if they were open just looking at the place. The blinds are closed and shelving is smashed up against the blinds. Not sure why they aren’t using their window space to draw passerbys in with their yummy treats. They only had little tart things and cookies available besides while cake. I wish they had cake slices to try before I commit to buying a whole cake. When I asked for a recommendation I was told she doesn’t eat it so she doesn’t know. Peanut butter cup mousse was disappointing– no real flavor except for the candy on top. But the blueberry mousse tart made up for it. It was really yummy! It was like the top of a large blueberry muffin, topped with a just-sweet-enough blueberry mousse– I highly recommend it!

I recently ordered a strawberry shortcake for my mother’s birthday party. Being a procrastinator, I suddenly realized I only had a few days before the big day. I had used What’s For Dessert in the past and had always been satisfied with their service and product, so I checked their website. Although they state that they need a week for special orders, I chanced it and called. They were closed for a day or two for New Year’s Day, but the message left an email address for orders. I emailed and received a response less than ten minutes later. I requested the strawberry shortcake(my mom’s favorite dessert). I was told they could have my order on time as long as the strawberries(obviously out of season during the winter) were ripe. I was asked for a second choice in case the strawberries were not up to scratch. Although I really wanted a strawberry shortcake, I appreciated the honesty and integrity of a place who would only sell me a decent product instead of taking my business at any cost. Luckily, the strawberries were ripe and the cake was ready for me on the day requested. The cake was beautiful and delicious. I had many compliments about the cake which had a decent amount of fresh cream and strawberries on top of a moist pound cake. What’s For Dessert uses a pound cake instead of sponge which really makes the dessert so much better than others I have tasted. In terms of price, I thought they were reasonable compared to other places I checked out before ordering.

Got a «Butterscotch CC Pie»(butterscotch chocolate chip) from a guest at Thanksgiving. The butterscotch flavor was undetectable — just sugar. The pie filling had crunchy chunks of pure, unincorporated sugar. The crust was too thick at the edges. It was inedible.

This is the best cake I have ever had in my life. I don’t even like cake and this was amazing. It is so delicious it doesn’t even need icing, but the butter crème is outragious so make sure to get it. It actually tastes like they add ice cream to the recipe.

This is the best cake ever. Honestly there are so many bakeries in Bucks County, and this one is worth driving for. It’s a little more expensive, but incredibly worth it, this is the only cake where you will never have leftovers because you will be licking your fingers for every last bit. The buttercream frosting is to die for. We have a lot of summer birthdays so one of our faves is the Strawberry Shortcake, that has tons of Giant Fresh Strawberries with a pound cake that’s dense yet moist, and a whipped cream that doesn’t have that off-taste you get from grocery store cakes. When we serve it at parties people are always raving about the cake and wondering where we got it. In fact, that’s how I got turned onto the place initially. Mmmm I wish it was my birthday.
