Half dairy bar, half car stereo store. Yeah you read that right. It’s what you want. You’re probably(hopefully) on your way to/from the shore, so you deserve a treat. Stop over here and grab a shake and burger. It’s easygoing and nostalgic. Someplace you’d see in a movie. Go if your not afraid of cash only, portopotty around back, and car parts in then dining room.

Had the ice cream here. it was really delicious. I got got a cone with crushed oreo cookies. It had to be put into a cup because of too much oreo cookies bit. So good. Definitely will be coming back when I’m in the area again.

Been driving past White Dotte for 50 years, so today I decided to stop for a hamburger. Place is small, only 4 booths but they managed to have 3 waitresses there. Why, I have no idea. They have two menus. One for burgers and hot dogs, etc and one for BBQ items. As I had BBQ last night I ordered the hamburger and a soda. It took 15 minutes for the cook to start cooking it. How do I know this? I heard the sizzle when it hit the grill and the sizzle when he flipped it over. What he was doing for 15 minutes, I really don’t want to know. Hamburger arrived. Small. About the size of a McDonalds hamburger. Tried the hamberger meat by itself. Taistless. No seasoning at all and very fatty. All this goodness for over $ 8. Not much else to say about White Dotte. I didn’t try the soft serve, so I can’t comment on that. This place may have been good in 1951 when it opened, but there’s nothing to write home about in 2015. BTW: Whats with the electronics store? BTW2: Two hours later and that greasy hamburger is doing a job on my stomach. :-(

I’ve never eaten the food here but the ice cream is great, silky smooth. Soft serve reminds me of a mix between ice cream and cool whip. We usually get the blizzard wanna be… typically takes them 5 min to make, which I’ve never been able to figure out why, but worth the wait. Best ice cream in the area. Cash only. Servers are very swert as well.

Several years ago, we found ourselves in this area. We ate at the Vincentown Diner while my son mournfully looked across the street at White Dotte. He made me promise to take him there one day. I made good on that promise recently. Fun fifties style place. Corny music. Nice servers. Cash only. My son ordered the whole fried chicken and a vanilla milk shake. Rare burger for me. I was told burgers start at medium. That was my clue to order something else. I missed the opportunity, unfortunately. The fried chicken was epic. He’s had a lot of chicken in his 15 years. From the highest end stuff at Blue Smoke in NYC to good soul food joints to Popeyes. And he pronounced this the best fried chicken he has had. High praise. My burger was dead, unfortunately. The tater tots tasted like Ore Ida. Nothing special. But the chicken was insane. Someone knows what they are doing in the kitchen. Next time, I’ll order something else. So, go enjoy nearby Whitesbog, pick up some good fruit and vegetables at the nearby road stand and enjoy a bite at White Dotte.

Love this place! White Dotte has a wide variety of soft serve ice cream(vanilla, chocolate, orange, raspberry, salted caramel, blueberry, strawberry). The place is like a time capsule retaining a 1950’s theme. I always get the orange-vanilla twist on a cone with rainbow sprinkles. A tad expensive at $ 4.09 for a small, but it’s worth it as a treat. Be advised they don’t accept credit cards, BRINGCASH.

Got a brownie sundae from here and it was delicious. A good amount of ice cream(soft serve) with an equally good amount of hot fudge. The only downfall was that the brownie was all the way at the bottom but once I found it was pleasantly surprised when it was a real brownie that was very warm and very tasty. Curious if you can get it with hard ice cream. Also they have a very nice patio in the back to eat. Overall great ice cream with a great environment.

Not impressed at all. Stopped in for soft-serve ice cream, and it was arguably the worst soft serve I’ve ever had. Bland taste and the consistency of plastic foam. We’ll stick to Rita’s or Carvel from now on.

Great atmosphere, great food. Cowgirl wrap was excellent! Crispy chicken, bacon, onion rings, lettuce and a special sauce. Gets busy at times but worth the wait.

Love this place, staff are wonderful, food is awesome. They are willing to customize what spices you might like on your food. Honestly, the staff really seems to care. If you want a feel good place with friendly service and good food then head on over to white dotte’s Edit: Most servers are great. I love the place and they have won my loyalty

The best burgers and chocolate serve ice cream. cash only. Great music and it feels like old school burger place. They have great hot dogs too. Nice seating area and friendly staff. It’s open from Spring to fall and closed during the winter. Family owned and operated. This is a must stop in and check it out place. On the corner of 38 and 206 in Burlington county.

Well, I had expected much better… everything…when my fiancé and I stopped by after our diner dinner date. First, it seemed dirty and not well kept. The floor was uneven, the paint had chipped… everything just seemed old. Not in a nostalgic way. Also, you can see into the back when you order ice cream and it just seems cluttered and dim. Also, I hate seeing huge pumps put in number 10 cans to pump out toppings for sundaes. It’s just unappetizing. I ordered a hot fudge brownie sundae and my fiancé got a medium milkshake with an add in. The soft serve ice cream was nothing special. The brownie was actually pretty good. The hot fudge was great. It reminded me of that top layer of pudding when you make it from scratch. Yum! My fiancé liked his shake but didn’t think his add in was mixed very well into it. Also, it cost $ 12 for my fiancé and I. I felt that was way too expensive for the overall quality and experience we received. There are lots of other ice cream options near us and I don’t think we’d return here.

I’ve been driving past White Dotte for many years, but only today did I stop in. Lately I’ve been having cravings for Boost and heard that they had it here. In terms of the Boost, they only have the original flavor, and they don’t give you a pretzel garnish, but their small is actually fairly large for being less than two dollars. This place is old, but in a charming way, and seems to harken back to a 50’s era rest stop/diner ambiance. I didn’t try any of their food, but it’s all typical American fare like hotdogs and burgers, but it all sounds good. Will definitely be going back.

I have only come to this dairy bar(with attached electronics store?) once– for ice-cream only. We arrived approximately 20 minutes before closing time, and since they had already cleaned their milkshake machines, they refused to serve us what we had ordered. Granted, this was teenagers working the evening shift, so this may not be the usual experience, but it was enough to keep me from coming back.

My first time visiting and we’ll be back! The burgers were so good — juicy and a really nice size. The type of fries they use aren’t my favorite but they were fine. I think I’ll go for some tots next time! Milkshakes were just lovely and my girls’ chicken nuggets(which were really more like tenders) were REALLY good. Very tender and meaty. Best of all the service was FRIENDLY and fast. Next time I might skip the milkshake and go for ice cream after my dinner. Cash only — they do have an ATM and their restroom is a Mr. Bob outside.

Awesome soft serve ice cream! Great variety of flavors and they seem to use good ingredients. I could taste the peanuts in the peanut butter and the blueberries in the blueberry flavor. Yummm! Definitely worth a stop on a hot day.

I didn’t think this place was anything special. Ordered the slaw dog and a texas weiner. The slaw dog was ok, the texas weiner did not compare to others(looking back, I don’t know why I even ordered it here). For the most part the food was unremarkable, but from my understanding this place owes it’s reputation to it’s ice cream(it was way too cold for ice cream). Service was pretty unfriendly, but fairly quick. The charm that everyone seems to be talking about was ok, but nothing worth going back for.
