Dan McGuinness Pub

Had a great time there on New Years eve. My only complaint is that the Golden Tee machine did not work, but overall was a great experience. Aquanet was an awesome band for entertainment. Will def be returning to this establishment. Thank you.

I have enjoyed carry out and dine in with this bar. They make some pretty good food. I’ve had their fish and chips, Philly, and some apps too. Never could complain. Ladies the work the bar are normally pretty responsive. I do wish they had more tap selection.
Although I don’t smoke they do have a patio, that is typically filled with smokers.
I haven’t been able to see any live music here but they’ve got a good setup.
Overall, I never hesitate to stop in and grab some grub from Dan McGuinness.

Went last night to hear a band. The place was half full. Strange for a Saturday night. Bartender was quick with drinks since they weren’t busy. Table open had 2 chairs and there were three of us. Bouncer wouldn’t let me take a stool from the bar that would fit the table. Since there were plenty of stools at the bar, it was strange. I guess he expects women to stand in their heels. Anyway it was rude, doubt I will be back.

I go here quite a lot to see live music. The past 4 times I have been (in the heart of summer) the air has not worked properly. The ladies restroom really need some attention as well. Last night we had to go outside just to cool off. No one will really tell you why the air doesn’t work either… it’s strange. I asked several waitress and they looked at me like I wasn’t supposed to ask. WTH We will go back, they have lots of great musical acts, I just hope it is cooler.

I really enjoyed this bar. If you like Irish pups, give this place a try. The live music was great. The bar tenders were fast, courteous, and actually made interactions with you. Not just bring you a drink and sit it down in front of you. This is an awesome watering hole. I’ll be returning soon.

After a movie we went to Dan McGuiness for dinner. It was not busy for a Saturday night, but maybe it picks up when the band starts. I was happy to see that they have relegated smokers to the patio.
Our group of 4 had beers, chips & queso, the Reuben, a grilled chicken salad and soup. The chips were a nice mix of tortilla and potato, but the queso was watery and small. The Reuben was fine and the fries looked good. The spouse said his salad was very good. I ordered soup that was not on the menu. It was cold upon presentation and tepid after a re-​heat. Lesson learned — don’t order off the menu. I’m sure this was nuked from the freezer — not good. We enjoyed our time and service was great. The only other note I have is a request for an IPA on tap.

I have a tendency to frequent this restaurant due to how convenient it is to my job and I must say, It’s pretty tasty. Ive never sat in the restaurant to eat. I take my food to go and it’s always ready within 10 – 15 min. Walking into the pub, it is a little dark for my liking but clean and very large. The wait staff is super nice and professional. I’ve tried the boom boom chicken wings, the fish and chips and the and the roast beef au jus. All were good. THE ONLY COMPLAINT I have is that the condiments are runny/​watered down. Instead of a creamy ranch or tartar SAUCE, its more like a ranch or tartar juice. The spiced apples are AWESOME. The mac and cheese… NO GOOD. BUT overall Im sure I will eat here again.

Love the food, service, atmosphere, and did I mention food. I continually indulge in their shepherd’s pie, a perfect blend of delicious ingredients. Each time I go back I swear to try something new but I always end up with my favorite dish. I have yet to have any bad service here. This is where I’ve gotten a true taste of southern hospitality each and every time. The ambiance of this pub makes me think of all the pub/​bars you see on TV or movies. A place where everyone knows your name, or the locals engage in random topics. This is truly a trip well worth making.

Had the chicken philly sandwich with fries, was pretty good. The atmosphere is what is worth going for. There was a live cover band when I was there on a Friday. The band was awesome and the place got pretty crowded. Definitely worth checking out when in the area if you’re looking for a lively place without going into Memphis.

A very clean and large bar and table space. Beer is cold and the selection is large. On Thursday they have fish and chips for $ 4.95. WHAT A DEAL! I have only tried the fish and chips but the other dishes looked very good. I’m told the burgers are delicious. Lot’s of TV screens so it’s a great place to watch your sporting event. Bartenders are fast & attentive. Free WIFI! The only problem I had was that the bar itself wasn’t deep enough so your knees hit the back of the bar. Very pleased I stopped into this place.

This is a good place to come to for a drink on a Monday or Tuesday, their drink specials are buy one get one free draft beer on Mondays, and buy one domestic bottle beer get one free on Tuesdays. There is also free pool and it’s not very crowded on the weekdays. Overall nice bar to come to with friends, as long as there is no local cover band playing that night.

This was our first time here and my wife got the corn beef & cabbage and I got the fish & chips both were excellent! I highly recommend this pub. We will defiantly be back.

I can’t believe that no one has reviewed Dan McGuinness and I also can’t believe I have yet to visit here myself. It’s been open for some time and It’s really close to home but for some reason we’ve just never found our way here.
Great variety on the menu, there just happened to be a Thursday special for the Fish & Chips so how could we pass that up? I have to say the Fish & Chips were by far the best I’ve had in this area. They were battered just right, not too little or too much and the fish was light and flaky. The tarter sauce was house made and very tasty. Not the normal mayo consistency, it was thinner, more like a dipping sauce.
Great drink selection and of course all the great Irish beers.
We were there at an odd time, around 2 in the afternoon. Not many people at all and sometimes when I eat lunch late in the afternoon service suffers, however today we got great service. I can’t wait to go back and try some other great Irish food.
