Terrific pizza. Will be our new regular take-out place. Very thin crust so it gets cool pretty quickly. Nice quantity of toppings. Thought two larges would leave left-overs but three adults just about finished it all — so good and light. Especially loved the white clams casino pizza. Sausage topping was tasty as well.

Have only had the pizza here and I must say just ehhh… It’s a pretty tasty pie but I must say one of the lightest large pies I’ve ever had in my life! C’mon guys! It costs about $ 2.50 to produce a large cheese pie and that’s the best you can do? It was so light I opened the box in my car to make sure something was in there. Won’t be going back.

Popped in for a quick pizza and salad while on a trip between Scranton PA and Worcester MA. We totally relied on Unilocal to guide us for lunch. It was spot on! Yummy pizza and salad! The only downfall, the flies lingering.

Every time I come here, they remember my name and are very pleasant. The food is great — I’ve never been disappointed. It’s am small, cozy place and is pretty busy on Friday nights.

When my folks first moved to Southbury, we started going here and it was great. Then, they hit a rough patch. The food wasn’t good and the staff was constantly fighting with each other. However, the last few times I’ve been back home, we’ve eaten there again and it was back to their old ways and wonderful. Now, it’s not as good as Roseland Apizza in Derby or Frank Pepe’s in New Haven, but it is good, local pizza and it’s reasonable! The other menu items look very good as well. My Dad likes their ravioli. The parking isn’t the best, as it is just gravel, and it can get busy and it’s not that big. However, the food makes up for everything else. And the service is good and friendly again!

Food was excellent! We stopped in here on our way home during a bad storm when a lot of places in the area were losing power. Glad I found them and their great review on Unilocal. They didn’t disappoint. The restaurant itself looks like it’s been around for many many years and probably needs a little renovating, but it’s a charming place with great food. The cappuccino and cheesecake we had after pizza was excellent!

Best pizza and solid italian compared to restaurants in surrounding area. Solid 3.5 stars as italian restaurant, 5 starts compared to surrounding area. Lets be clear, you don’t go here for atmostphere or the service, just good solid food. Pizza imho is definitely best in area. Dinners are solid and staff is courteous if not a little unattentive.

Ok, I grew up in Newtown and Dad now lives in Southbury. I get off the plane and Dad does not bother to ask where I want to go to eat. Just take me HOME! A nice glass of wine and a great meal. We have brought a large party or just the 2 of us. Time to relax and come home to family and great food!

Catered a huge event for us. Very easy to work with, pricing was very reasonable, food was ready on time, hot, delicious and did not taste like buffet food usually does. We eat here regularly and the chicken Marsala has become our favorite. But everything is made fresh to order and the owner/chef only uses fresh ingredients and u can taste it.

Miranda’s is my FAVORITE pizza place bar none! Their pizza crust is thin and crispy with great toppings. We order takeout from there all the time. On the occasions we do eat in, the service is consistently friendly and fast. Try the garlic cheese bread! The only downer is that the dining room is small and intimate so I wouldn’t recommend going with any group larger than 4 adults.

4 outta 5 for the pizza and fresh canoli’s. 1 outta 5 for atmosphere(diner-esq and kinda dirty), 2 outta 5 for service(young girls who are often chatting with one another). Was most disappointed by my dirty wine glass and employees chatting right in front of our table we could hear the whole conversation, but the place is super small so it’s kinda inevitable.

Mirandas makes all thier own sauces, and dough. It is a family run independant place. Pizza is top notch for the area, not the super thin NH style, this Pie is proofed and spreadthin in the middle to a crispy chewy well crusted edge. Pizza sauce is sweet and spicy. Never over-loaded with sauce or cheese. The ovens are double deck Blodgett’s that fire at 525 or so, and make for a great meal. The restaurant has a good beer list(bottles) and a fine small wine selection(glass & bottles). My wife likes the specials that come out each day they include soup or salad, like all entrees. Whole wheat pastas have just appeared on the menu. I haven’t had a bad experience in five years of going here. It’s not SoHo but neither is the price of fresh cooked red sauce Italian food.

I often have pizza from Miranda’s when I visit friends in Southbury. My friends(transplanted New Yorkers) found this place and we absolutely love it. Give it a try! I’ve never dined in house, but maybe one of these days I would. It looks very charming inside.

I’ve been to this place a few times with my gma and the rest of my family. It used to be less of a pizza place before it became Miranda’s, but it still has good pasta and stuff like that. A few vegan options, including pizza without cheese. They had an Arrabiata pizza the last time I went which was new and very hot. Even for me. The garlic bread is not vegan(butter) but they have great fries. Suprisingly enough for a place in a small town with a parking lot in a corn field, it fills up quick, so reservations recommended. When they do get busy service slips a little but they try to make up for it when they miss something.
