Olmstead Cleaners

This place is super expensive to clean a comforter and it takes them at least 5 days, which they do warn of ahead of time. When I picked up my comforter after being dry cleaned it smelled terrible like chemicals and had strings and snags hanging from it. Will never use them again.

I took my down comforter and two others to Olmstead because it was close and convenient, however bad idea. They didn’t label one of my items so it took forever to find. They just rolled my comforter into a plastic bag instead of providing a comforter bag, so my comforters were wrinkled. My comforters were also distorted as if they were years old but these were brand new comforters! It was an obvious sign of not being handled appropriately during the cleaning process. So my brand new comforters were trashed. This was only the second time I took one of them to get dry cleaned and the first time it came out just like new. Also all of my comforters had an unpleasant smell kind of like cigarette smoke, and I do not smoke. I was extremely displeased, however that is the price I paid for being lazy. Fortunately I just got my new washer and dryer that can handle my king size comforters so I was able to get the smell out and get a good cleaning with the steam feature. For paying what I did I expected better service. I won’t bring anything to Olmstead again and instead find a new local place or take the two hour round trip drive to a reliable service.
