One of the best pubs in Moore county! My dad loved this place. Lamb burgers and crab dip are awesome.

I love the Devonshire and Cambridge. My husband likes to choose between the pot pie or fish and chips. We usually like to sit in the bar area and have a nice cold draft while we wait for our food. One of our favorite spots!

You can’t say you have been to Squire’s without having the Welsh Rarebit. Best burger in town. Prime rib is also delicious in came out and was a solid inch and half thick with lots of flavor. Brad and Brenda might possibly be the best servers in the Sandhills.

This is greasy, gross bar food. Definitely will not be visiting this establishment again. The only good thing about this place was the service

Normally food is so good that it is a real treat. Unfortunately today’s lunch was not. Revolutionary burger is normally to die for(no pun intended) with fresh beef and fixins. Today, the meat tasted pre-processed, mealy and just no taste. Potato skins were amazing, although very greasy and marinated veggies(a favorite) were delicious as usual. Unfortunately, food did not«sit well» with my nor my co-worker’s stomach. I was quite sick and it will be a while before we can face this food again.

Great pub food and very friendly employees I had the prime rib salad it was delicious. For desert I ordered ginger bread it had a unique sweet melted butter sauce, finished it off with a cup of black coffee and had a great overall time.

Really overrated… I had lived in the Pinehurst area for years, and some locals told me to try this spot. I went a few times, to give it a fair shot. There was not one time where I was satisfied with the food. The wings were small, and the other food was ordinary. The worst experience that I ever had, though, was one time when I simply asked for another beer — the bartender just stared at me, clearly not wanting to do it. They were about 15 – 20 minutes from closing time — enough time for me to finish a beer. She eventually gave it to me, but clearly was not happy about it. When I was leaving, I was driving away, and there is a very large ditch in the back that you cannot see at night. When I drove away, I did not see it, and my car actually got stuck. The bartender and a waitress were out there smoking, and when they saw me, they laughed, made fun of me and walked away — not a mention of actually helping, calling a tow truck, etc. Extremely rude. I would never go back here

From Dallas Texas –and I wasn’t sure what to expect but based Unilocal reviews decided to try. Must say we were pleasantly surprise. After stepping in, I totally disregarded the Unilocal comment saying it was«old» — The décor is appropriate and quite charming. The staff is friendly and food was very good. We had the Revolutionary burger with sautéed onions, mushrooms and bacon(meat /burger was very tasty!). Also tried the Fish ‘N Chips –also very tasty. I’m so jaded from eating all over the U.S. at all kinds of great restaurants –I’m such a critic and that’s why this place deserve two thumbs up!

Quite possibly the best burger I’ve ever had… Monday’s special… Big Ben Burger, a half pound burger made with Angus Beef and Smoked Pork Belly, seasoned with our Irish Stout Spice and cooked to your liking, topped with sautéed onions, bacon, and a special horseradish cheddar cheese. Served on a bun with mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion.

Squires pub is always a place that we stop when we come down to Pinehurst. Stone soup is a must and then everything else on the menu is reliable. You can tell the food is made from scratch and not just thrown in a microwave. This sounds weird but they have really good after dinner mints as well. There’s a ton of chain restaurants around bit I would say that this is the local stop for sure and beats any of the chain restaurants that are around it

I have eaten at Squires many times over the years. they have several meals that are ok. But my most recent visit I ordered the Guinness London broil and the meat was rancid I think they Aren’t having enough turn over will not eat there again

I decided to try this pub fare because of the location in relationship to the movies. We normally hit the Sly Fox for fish and chips but we decided to give the Squire a shot and we were very impressed. I had the seared tuna sandwich and my gf had the fish and chips. Both were exceptional! The service was excellent and the beer was ice cold. Our food arrived fast and hot and we made it in perfect time for our flick. I would give it five stars but the atmosphere is no FOX but we really did enjoy our meal and time:)

I love the steak at Squire’s Pub! We make it a point to have a group dinner every year on our November golf trip. Nice selection of darker heavy beers. The atmosphere is a bit dark and dated but it’s intent to be a replica of a English style pub so it fits. I am looking forward to next November!

If any restaurant is in need of Restaurant Impossible make-over…it is Squires. I went twice… hoping that the first time was just a singular bad experience… but 2 times a charm. The service is good. All the staff are very nice and accommodating… unfortunately, it doesn’t make up for the poor tasting food. I had a salad the first time and a brown sugar roast beef sandwich the second time. There was just nothing overwhelming… very bland taste. We also had a black raspberry pie for dessert… again, nothing special. I honestly don’t have much more to say about this place… I was so unimpressed, I can barely come up with the words to describe it. THM(Take Home Message): Squire’s seems to have its share of regulars, but it seems this restaurant is too big to survive on just a few regulars. I would not recommend it. For a slightly higher price, I think you have a better chance of getting better tasting food down the road at Sly Fox… if you’re looking for the British pub fare kind of scene. Sorry Squire’s…just not worth trying out for a 3rd time.

Had a great dinner and fun time tonight at Squire’s! The Scotch Brown was wonderful! So glad that there was so much meat that I couldn’t eat it all and have left overs! YUMMY! Bradley was wonderful to take care of us and we enjoyed talking to Dee Dee. Thanks Squire’s for everything!

Great food! Lots of unique beers! This place has been around a while and is still one of the better restaurants in the area. While it might not have the«wow factor» that it used to for some people; it should because it’s a darn good place, with quality food, good service and reasonable prices. It’s locally owned as opposed to the seemingly endless number of franchises that are now in the area(such a shame — this town is becoming so generic and cookie cutter with all these chains and it’s losing its originality). Anyway, the food here is awesome! Definitely go with one of the baked dishes if you’ve never had one before. There’s the Scotch Brown(Roast Beef), the Cambridge(Ham) and the Devonshire(Turkey) each are open faced sandwiches served in a piping hot baking dish oozing with cheese and sauce — delicious! These dishes are fantastic and I haven’t always been able to find them in a lot of other British restaurants, so they’re definitely worth trying. They also do a good bangers and mash and have lots of other traditional British pub foods. As far as beers, they’ve got a ton of hard to find beers from the UK and other areas. Finally try the gingerbread for dessert, it’s outstanding!

Squire’s is an okay spot for some grub and a cold beer. The shepard’s pie had good flavor, it’s not the best but not the worst. Had a side order of peas and glad I did to mix in with the pie to get my veggie intake. The atmosphere is a little old, not old timey, just old. When I first arrived there were a few elderly gentlemen sitting at the bar watching life go by outside, they were very excited to see someone get pulled over across the street. So if you want some basic British pub grub and a cold one stop on in.

Squire’s Pub is a British Restaurant with steaks and traditional pub food. Beer selection is great as they carry a wide variety of English brews. Atmosphere — The front door/entry is painted like you are walking into a red British phone booth. Inside are dark woods and paneling, which is all very«pub’ish». Food — I ordered their specialty, sushi…1,2,3…ha. No, I got their local award winning burger. Yep it was good. Especially with a nice glass of Fuller’s London Pride. Service — Great and attentive. Made efforts on all requests, even when they did not have something I thought all British themed restaurants would have… HP Sauce. Overall — I would like to go back again to try other dishes. I would still be happy just getting another burger and an ale. Cheers!!!
