Lobby and corridors dirty. Our room & bathroom was clean but outdated. There were other guests who were slamming doors and talking loudly all night long. We came to visit our grandson for the weekend & picked this hotel because of the indoor pool. The pool was so noisy and crowded that he didn’t even want to go swimming. I do have to say that the cost was reasonable & the complimentary breakfast had a variety of choices.

I come to the Detroit area often and thought this hotel was located in the area I usually stay. It’s not. The lobby was very nice and seemed very up to date. The room was a different story. First walking in, all I smelled was chlorine from the pool. The room was very outdated and missed the cozy factor I enjoy in a hotel. The bathtub appeared not clean but I think it’s just old. The towels seemed stiff… Not soft. No fabric softener I guess. A couple of the sockets in the room were not working for me to charge my phone and the lighting was horrible. The staff seemed unbothered about its guest. Upon checkout, not one time did the gentleman ask how I enjoyed my three day stay.

I’ve stayed at Baymonts before and had good experiences. However…
This place epitomizes «You get what you pay for.» Husband should have read the reviews before paying for the room in advance. The lobby is clean, but that’s where it ends. The sheets don’t fit the beds. The bathroom in general was clean, but the tub was gross. The nightstand was not clean. I didn’t even think about touching the remote. The air conditioner was horribly noisy, but the room smells if you turn it off. It was like sleeping on a tarmac in a bus station with no headphones. The pool was cloudy and the pool room smelled of chlorine and mildew. There was random stuff strewn around the deck of the pool including trash. WHO GOES SWIMMING WITH THEIR UNDERWEAR ON??? I’ll have to get my daughter a tetanus shot when we get back. The free breakfast was decent, but who goes to eat in a public place barefoot, wearing hair bonnets and no shirts? Who walks around the halls obviously in what they slept in and no underwear? WHO IS OKAY WITH THIS FOOLISHNESS??? Remember people, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! #BaymontInTheHood #LowStandards #Dive

Just got a room here. Ice machine on 1^st floor didn’t work so I went to the second floor. That ice machine did work, however after I got a pop from the vending machine next to it, the pop was warm. I’m talking way warmer than room temp. I don’t recommend staying here at all.

THERE WAS BLOOD ON THE WALLS!!!
This was my first time booking a hotel and I have to say it was so awful. The only reason they get one star is because the front desk staff was very friendly. I prepaid and stayed there two nights.
The elevator was not working, and when i say it wasn’t working i don’t mean it was shut down i mean that it sounded like it was hitting against something and that it dipped down as your stepped off of it. I was very afraid for my life while in it.
We got to the room and there was no toilet paper. The bedside light was broken. Every time we moved on the beds, the sheets would come off. Our a/​c unit was broken, had chewed gum in it and only produced heat. The whole floor smelt like booze as well.
Bought a Pepsi from the vending machine on our floor. The one that sat in my car in 80 degree weather was colder!
We get down to the pool and there were a bunch of little kids everywhere just yelling like they were in a horror flick and splashing. All unsupervised. Got the feeling that they were living there. There were two children under the age of six who stayed in the Jacuzzi for over thirty min at a time without their parents caring. The pools chlorine levels were so high I got splashed and it made me cry and the Jacuzzi water was so hot it scolded my dad. Also no towels at the pool. When we checked in, we were given 4 wrist bands for the pool, one for each of us for both days. We were also told it was ADULT ONLY swim after 9pm. This was NOT enforced. When we entered the pool, we were the ONLY PEOPLE with wrist bands.
Now fast forward to the morning at there breakfast. The waffle mix was clogged up and dirty, some of the food was molded and the coffee cups leaked.
YES, THERE REALLY WAS BLOOD ON THE WALLS!!! It was never cleaned off
All in all it was an awful stay and I DO NOT recommend it. Our hotel room window was sealed for «our safety.» Apparently they had to many suicidal jumpers.

The bathroom was dirty and the hallways deperately needed vacuuming. The bed was uncomfortable to say the least. I will say that the lady that checked us in was friendly and so was the staff in general. The friendly staff is was got them the 2 stars. Maybe I’m spoiled with more expensive hotels but we will not stay there again. One last note, the workmanship was terrible. Whoever was the contractor for the remodel did terrible work

We got this hotel for $ 55.00 per night. It is located right off the freeway, so easy access to get anywhere. It was quiet and relatively clean. For $ 55.00 per night, it was definitely okay.
The front lobby looked nice and welcoming. The people at the front desk were very nice as well. The breakfast goes until 11a.m., but our sleep was so out of whack, that we couldn’t get up before 11am, so we did not have breakfast the four days we were there. We were thankful for the free water available any time of day though.
We stayed in room 219 and we were there for four nights. Our floor was a non-​smoking floor. While the room itself did not smell like smoke, the whole floor was like an ashtray. It was unbelievable how strong the smoke smell was in the hallway.
The room was relatively clean. There were a couple of spots on the carpet. There was also an unfinished outlet on the wall close to the ceiling. The bathtub looked like it could use some refinishing, and the office chair at the desk was old and cracked all over. It should definitely be replaced. No comforter. Just a thin blanket on the foot of the bed.
The cable is direct tv, and the reception was not great. There were about 15 channels, three of which were nothing at all. But it worked.
The heater was pushing out lukewarm air. We called maintenance the second night, and they «fixed» it. It was about one degree warmer.
Upon arrival, we had the perfect amount of towels. The second day, just two big towels. Third day, no room service at all– no new towels. Fourth night, it was rectified. I have no idea why our room was not serviced on the third night– but whatever.

Can I give a zero.
I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. I travel in two categories and I separate those two in my mind and expectation. I travel for work and this is typically higher end hotels. Then I travel with my family and I honestly don’t expect much. Just a clean room and wifi.
This place is the worst. When I arrived for some reason the GPS would not find the address. It’s almost as if God was trying to erase this place from existence. I didn’t take that as a sign and I called them to find the exact location.
When I arrived I could tell they were in the middle of changes. Newer things were in the check in area and they had a nice touch of newspapers available. When I checked in I saw this young thug come from the back… he was a guest and wanted to ask if anyone found a lost cell phone. He had no shirt on pants sagging low and a pierced lip. This should have been a sign that this was thug central and I guess the local hotel frequented by thug types… No. Instead I focused on more positive thoughts and assumed he was a kid that had not found his way yet just hoping that one day in the near future he would be an outstanding young man that wore shirts when coming to the front desk.
So when I entered the room I was disappointed. The carpet is old. It seemed small… may have been the carpet color making the room feel small. We closed the door and the latch to lock the door was missing. From there I can hear my wife say the bathtub is disgusting. The bed skirts had some kind of stains on them. I prefer not to guess what those stains were.
I complained and was given another room. This one was the better of the two but also disgusting. We checked out and went to another hotel. We were supposed to stay here 7 nights but we were so disgusted that we didn’t take part in the free breakfast because if the rooms are like this there is no way we would eat the food here.
The fitness room was non existent. There were maybe 4 cardio machines and unsupervised kids were on each of those.
The pool is on the first floor and it was packed with screaming kids. As I walked thru the hall, it sounded more like kids screaming on a roller coaster at an amusement park vs taking a swim at an indoor pool. The most shocking part of this is that their parents sat to the side oblivious to the chaos their kids were creating.
I heard another guest say «why can’t they just swim». I think she meant swim without the yelling.
I do not recommend this hotel.

The 2.5 star rating is HIGHLY misleading. This place was disgusting, even for the cheap price. The bathroom had visible dirt and hair on the floor, and it was obvious the shower hadn’t beencleaned because the last guests’ partially used soap and shampoo were still in the shower! We prepaid for 2 nights through Priceline so we were stuck there, so we told E front desk that our bathroom was dirty and were assured that the room would be cleaned again… It wasn’t. Same dirt and used soap in the bathroom. Also, the tub did not draw a properly when showering, and one of the lamps didn’t work. The basic levels of cleanliness were nowhere near met. I would never stay here ever again!
