I began working for Hantz Financial as an intern until I passed my Series 7 and 66 licenses to work as a financial consultant. While working as an intern I was preforming a lot of the duties of a consultant without a lot of training. One of the big issues I had was selling auto and home insurance with the hopes of acquiring funds/​a client in the process. I wanted to work with client to help them with their financial goals not sell them insurance. If I wanted to sell insurance I would have gotten a job at an insurance agency. As a firm, my parents have been working with a planner at Hantz for several years and have had great success in achieving their financial goals, so yes it can be done. You just need to be picky in choosing the right advisor, the right firm, and the get some knowledge. You don’t want someone constantly canceling and re-​electing the same money in the same fund. There are some great advisors and some not so great advisors. Be weary.
