Nice apartments, good value for the money.

Kaftan Enterprises owns Bedford Square Apartments in Canton, and when I say that their values and management style is deplorable, it is an under statement. Bedford Square has had several changes in management in the last 4 years. The first manager was excellent, but after the first year and a change in management, the care of the property severely declined. We once had a pool, manicured lawns, beautifully cleaned hallways, and prompt maintenance service. We now have no pool, hardly any grass, no flowers, hallways that are unkept (with a smell of sewage), and no lights in the hallway until 8pm (it gets dark at 6:30pm). Oh, and on top of all of that, we receive a rent increase each year (not small either). The manager never returns calls, and the main office in Southfield avoids tenants with issues at all costs. The turn over at the main office is insanely frequent, and I can never talk to the same person twice (the last person is always gone). Kaftan Enterprises seems to have NO integrity, NO knowledge or ability to maintain its properties, and NO care or compassion for its tenants. I don’t know how they can sleep at night. They should be ashamed of how they conduct business. I absolutely would not recommend that anyone move into any of their properties.
