Little nervous trying Vietnamese for the first time — my review might be scewed because I haven’t had it before. But I read Morgan A.‘s review and noticed that they had a vegetarian option, so I went for it. I also got the fresh rolls. The sauce for the fresh rolls were good, but I don’t think I like fresh rolls. I got them with tofu… the texture of the wrap was probably right but just not for me. The amount of food that I got for $ 12 was amazing. I bet it was enough to feed me 3 times. I think if you go into the restaurant, you get even more. It seems like the restaurant mainly has soup, I think on a cold day it would be amazing. On a hot day it was amazing.

Dined twice at this location. The restaurant looks spacious and clean. No reservations needed. There’s enough tables and chairs to accommodate 50 or more customers. There was no crowd for lunch or dinner time. The phở chicken soup was served hot and tasted ok. I couldn’t say it’s phenomenal. The large bowl can serve two — three persons. We had the beef phở last time. I liked the chicken better with the clear soup with fresh and crunchy sprouts. The spring roll needs a little bit of salt to taste. They have wifi, but locked. Main entrée Price per person starts @ $ 8.49 Additional $ 1.75 for the drink. I never heard the male server say hi or asked for our order. I do appreciate him served us water and show the bill without us asking.

Awesome little gem! Super fast. I had the B2 vermicelli bowl and my bf had a phở bowl. We also had the fresh rolls. Both of us loved it! Will be back soon!

I’m veg and they were out of veg broth, so I had to opt for something other than phở. They brought out spring rolls that me and my boyfriend picked up, because we thought they came with our meal, but a guy came and took them to the back after we touched them! They either replated them(gross) or threw them away, which seems like a waste. I don’t think we’ll be back.

Stopped in for a carry out on Sunday afternoon. Had my phở within 5 minutes of placing my order. Was probably the best vegetarian phở I’ve ever had. Will most definitely be back.

I have never had Phở cuisine before, so this was very new to me. I do not eat meat so I opted for the vegetarian Phở. It is basically a large bowl filled with delicious broth, tons of veggies and tofu, and Vietnamese noodles at the bottom. The food was served piping hot, and rather quickly. It was very good. There are both chopsticks and forks on the table, for those of us who are not fluent in chopstick use! The portion is huge, the waitress gladly packed my meal up for me, and even gave me extra broth for when I reheated the meal. Service and food were great. Would recommend to anyone!

Located in the same shopping center as Meijer on 12 and Telegraph, this place is tucked away in the back on the same side as Pier 1 and Michaels. Just keep driving towards the car dealerships, you’ll find it! Came here for lunch with a coworker and I was surprised to see just how crowded it was. Thankfully they have a lot of seating, so we were seated right away and ordered. Their menu is pretty simple(which I like since I’m indecisive) and they do what they do best, Phở. What got me most excited was that they had a chicken noodle with chicken broth as well as a vegetarian option. While I don’t eat beef, and Phở uses beef more often then not, they scored major points in my book with these options. Their fresh spring rolls are delicious and came with a side of peanut sauce, while their fried spring rolls are sizable compared to most places but seemed like they came with two different fillings? Either way everything was made to order, fresh, quick, and with a quantity of two rolls per order which was a great segue into our main dishes. Their phở comes out in no more than ten minutes which is extremely convenient for a lunch rush, and the portion sizes were HUGE! Their chicken was cooked really well, not dry and mealy. Considering I got their chicken based phở, It was did not dissappoint especially once you add in your basil, lime, hoisin sauce, etc. Me and my belly were content. For a chicken and house special phở along with our two appetizers I paid less than $ 30.00 including tip, and for me that’s a great deal considering portion sizes and quality. This place is a great alternative since there’s nothing like it in the area and the alternative would be Detroit or Madison Heights, and sometimes you just want to stay within your five mile radius! :-)

Southfield location. Absolutely addictive. I’ve been there twice and just don’t want to leave without finishing all of the soup. Both times the service was fast and helpful.

Thoroughly enjoyed both the phở with rare eye round(P2), and the vegetarian phở with tofu. The broths greatly differ in flavor(for obvious reasons:)), and both are flavorful and enjoyable. The fried spring rolls are excellent(though the sauce is too salty – perhaps too much fish sauce). The food is brought to the table within five minutes of ordering, so you can have a healthy, quick meal instead of fast food(shudder). My only complaint is that the women’s bathroom is inexcusably dirty. There is a saying that you can judge the cleanliness of a business based on how clean its bathroom is. I just hope that’s not the case at Phở Lucky.

Although I don’t particularly understand the difference between some of the dishes. I like eating them. Love the soups. My son is very picky and he liked the soups. He tried the soup at a midtown restaurant and was not happy. So we will be sticking with Phở Lucky soups, it’s the best. The shrimp spring rolls were okay. I’m going to stick to soups. The broth is amazing, the freshness of the veggies, perfect noodles and the sauce cup kicks it up a notch. Delicious

I’ve been spoiled living so close to phở central up in Madison Heights. If I’d never had Vietnamese before I would say that this place was really good, but when it’s put up against the competition it’s just not as good as it should be. A friend and I went and we split an order of summer rolls. They were actually pretty good and tasted fresh, but the peanut sauce was a bit oilier than I’m used to, and it lacked flavor. I ordered the P3 which had cooked beef and rare beef. The broth wasn’t as aromatic or flavorful as I would expect, but it was still tasty. I wouldn’t complain if someone wanted to go here, but if I had my pick for phở I’d go elsewhere.

It’s nice that Phở Lucky is starting to expand here in the Metro Detroit region, and this location, though aesthetically feels out of place, is consistent like the other Novi location that I’ve been to. We had their fried spring rolls and phở dac biet(P1) and thought it was good. The broth is nice and hot, but the flavor is not as fragrant as what I’m accustomed to, but I still like it plenty. At $ 8.50 for a regular bowl, it’s pretty sizable from a quantity standpoint. Husband and I could have easily split one bowl, but being the ravenous beings we are, we each had one bowl. ;) One thing is for sure, prepare to come and eat! The staff is friendly but quiet, and service is fluid and quick. Easily a doable lunch location, and there is plenty of seating. Parking is a cinch, and it’s fairly visible from Telegraph; just keep an eye out for the Best Buy and it’s right next door. I’ll definitely be back, and it’s nice that it’s pretty close to where I work, so lunch and dinner is perfectly doable!

Truly awful. The service is what you would expect from a teenager. Aloof defines it well. She was very pleasant but once she walked out the rotten greens(see pic), I knew what I was getting. I piled them up to show her and asked for new ones which came well after the soup had sat. The broth was good but the meat in the soup was very tough. I elected not to eat the soup and like a moron I paid. Lesson learned. Maybe I’m too spoiled by living near madison heights but i would not return knowing what i got and for a dollar more than my 13 and John R or Dequindre spots

I’ve been wanting to try this place that opened up recently near my office. In a neighborhood of fast food and Mediterranean restaurants in Southfield, this place will definitely stand out as a nice casual ethnic restaurant. There’s not any other Vietnamese restaurants on this side of town, so it’ll be a new experience for many. I’d say the place is probably closer to 3 stars but this place got the benefit of doubt since it’s different for this area. I’m here on a Friday for lunch and almost every table is taken, so we’ll see if people keep coming back. In all, it’s an average Vietnamese place with a fairly limited menu. Phở, a couple of rice plates, and a couple of noodle plates. Walking in it can be a bit confusing. Not sure if it’s order at the counter or table service. After asking, it’s really table service. And fast as I found out. I ordered the phở with meat balls and rare round steak. If you’ve never had phở rare steak is typical — don’t worry– it cooks in the broth. The broth was okay. Not the best flavor, but it’s good. The sprouts, herb, lime, we’re all fresh and crispy. Also very important. The one complaint would be that one of the meatballs was cold inside. I made sure the meatballs was the last to go in the bowl so the broth cook warm it more. It’s all good except it’s not good for my low carb diet. I ordered it with half the noodles and still set aside half so I limit the rice noodles! I’ll be back to try the plates! They have a limited menu but they seem to be doing good with what they have.

Been hearing so much about this place, finally got to try it. I had the phở and the egg rolls. I thought the phở broth was good on its own, but it’s more like a beef stock. It doesn’t taste like typical phở. It tastes as tho it was made from bouillon cubes. It was definitely good but I wouldn’t call it phở. It doesn’t taste like phở at all. As for the egg rolls, they were disappointing. I’ve been craving eggrolls and those were pretty plain In flavor and was under cooked. But for being the only phở place on the west side, one star more, otherwise this place is mediocre.

I tried the restaurant because of the positive Unilocal reviews. I would rate the concept a 4, the service a 4, but the food a 2. I really wanted to like this place. It had all the elements of a good local restaurant. Unfortunately, I just didn’t like the taste of the food. I ordered a Bowl of Phở and a side of spring rolls. The spring rolls were tasty, but the Phở just tasted weird. The beef in the Phở didn’t fast much like beef. Admittedly, this just might be that I cannot appreciate Indonesian cuisine. Nevertheless, I won’t be going back.

I’m just now being introduced to Vietnamese fare. Longtime fan of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai. Love this new entrée into the Southfield community. Wish them well. I tried the app egg rolls(summer and spring) for a litmus test. Test passed with flying colors. Being a huge lumpia fan, these similar spring rolls are deadly addictive. Dipping sauce is superb too. On next visit I tried B2(see pic). Beef vermicelli bowl. Bún tht nng ch giò. Amazing. Light refreshing feel not heavy after eating. Beef was thin, nare any fat, tender, and had an amazing marinade. Eat a few bits by itself to really taste that marinade. This will be my go to dish here. Note: the rice noodle is served cold. Trying the Phở is next. Judging by the customers coming in, I think the word is starting to spread about this spot.

I was impressed with the friendly service and tasty food. The menu was simple and straightforward – no overwhelming lists of food to read over. The food came out within 5 minutes and the owner even showed us how to mix the ingredients properly for the phở as well as recommended which sauces pair well with each dish. We also had a great conversation with the owner and his wife while we enjoyed our meals. Additionally, we tried their Vietnamese iced coffee which was the best iced coffee I’ve ever tasted. Overall, quality and healthy food for a good price – not to mention how quickly the food is prepared.

Just as good as the Novi location, this place used to be a burger joint, novi and Indian restaurant, it seems they just leave the décor, why not? We came late afternoon so it was slow but still yummy. If the bathrooms were cleaner I would have given them 5 stars. We will be back as it is closer to us, I’ll Update as needed
