Spa Nails

This star is only because I was promptly greeted and the lady who did my nails was pleasant. I can’t even call her a nail technician because my nails barely made it out the door. There was bubbling in the gel coat. My cuticles were looking little better than they did when I entered. My nails were unevenly shaped. And to top it all off they began chipping 3 days later. Oh and the massage was poor. Before my nails were painted the lady didn’t clean the buffer debris off. And this again was a $ 30 gel nail service. Also, when the final polish or check with acetone happened… this lady cleaned the dirt and paint out of her nails with the same cotton piece she attempted to use on my freshly and poorly polished nails. I had to ask her to use a clean cotton piece. $ 30 wasted. I will never go here again. Ever. And I never write reviews but my experience was so terrible… ugh…I couldn’t be silent.

I usually patronize the Spa Nails on Nine Mile & Telegraph but someone gave me their gift certificate, so I tried them out. They were polite and quick to service me. The place was clean with a pleasant atmosphere.
My nail tech was good, I wouldn’t say great because I know I was suppose to rinse my hands before she polished them but she wiped them with her fingers instead.
There are signs posted stating the price for my nail choice. Gel Polish $ 25.00 & up. I said well the other Spa Nails charge $ 24.00 so one dollar more won’t hurt. Well, I was wrong she charged me $ 30.00. I feel like she decided to charge me more since I had gift certificate, because she openly complained to another nail tech in their language. I will not go back!!!

I need to update my review and give a little praise, where praise is due. My previous review was a bit complainy, and I noticed when I checked in today, it said I had 15 check ins. If I’m going here this much, something has got to be right. This little nail shop has become my go to place. It’s easy to get in and out on my lunch hour. On Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays pedicures are only $ 20. My pedicures generally last 6 weeks, the people are pleasant… This place is A-​OK! As long as I’m working I the area, I will continue to go here.
