Hampton Inn

Good hotel to stay for easy access to the airport. 10 minutes from downtown Detroit. Although next to interstate, no freeway noise. I suggest choosing a room facing the back of hotel. My only complaint is walls are paper thin. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

My experience on this establishment was made unpleasant simply by the rudeness of the staff. Despite signs saying we could stay in the lobby to advanced hours on New Year’s Eve, the person behind the desk was obviously not happy about allowing it. She was very rude in explaining the area was «closed.» She ended up allowing us to stay there, but was not very kind about it.

I stayed here to get my one additional stay needed to keep my diamond status. I paid for the room with my Hilton points (otherwise I wouldn’t have been happy).
I live locally so I watched this hotel go up. Now that I have stayed there I question the quality of the construction.
The biggest problem was the noise or the transfer of noise. The adjacent rooms could here everything in our room and vice versa. Every time you walked on the floor everything shook (including the pictures on the wall). When everyone was in bed and the neighboring room had gone to sleep, it finally got quiet enough to sleep. UNTIL the mini fridge kicked on.
We packed up and left.
I you are looking for quiet, Pick a different Hampton Inn.

Stayed here on 12−5−15. I am a diamond member with Hilton Honors & this was the loudest most uncomfortable hotel I recall staying at in years. 9,10,11 boys running up and down the halls all night, stomping on the floors. When I asked for a new room or management to help, all requests fell on deaf ears. Bed was not comfortable at all.

Clean room, quiet hallways and delicious breakfast made my stay just what I needed to unstressed. Easy to find and setback from the main road. Why choose right behind the airport if you can go here!

Reasonably priced, very clean, and updated rooms! The staff was nice and breakfast had a huge variety. We loved that they had room key activated lights to conserve energy. We were very pleased with our stay!

Beautiful hotel with a very friendly and helpful staff. The room was not set up in a typical hotel layout, which made the room more aesthetically pleasing. The king bed is SO COMFY. I hopped into it and ended falling asleep at 6pm. Complimentary wi-​fi, nice computer area (with printing), vending machines and snack store, free breakfast, large shower with sliding glass doors (vs. tub with curtain), very easy and comfortable temperature control, soft sheets, shuttle to airport, CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, and MODERN. I’ve stayed in many hotels (including Embassy Suites, Residence Inn, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, DoubleTree, etc…) and this is one of the best! I read in another review that there was no ATM… I would like to point out that there is one near the front desk.

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff was very nice and it is the most high tech hotel I’ve ever stayed in (insert room to key to turn on lights!). It has many places to charge devices in the room (no USB so you still need cords) but I didn’t have to bring a multi-​plug from home like I normally do when traveling. Great FREE breakfast buffet! Make your own waffles (delicious) eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc. Very good! They have an indoor pool but it is very small. One of the few complaints I did have was that the hot tub didn’t work the whole weekend and no one seemed to really care. They sent a shuttle driver to look at it the first night, but he just turned the dial, seen it didn’t work and said sorry. Since I am an electrician, I would bet that it was just a tripped circuit breaker but no one cared enough to look. That was a big negative for me because I’m not a pool person, just hot tubs so I stayed dry the whole weekend. On the second night, a man came to the pool area with about 8 kids and they were screaming at the top of their lungs. I would think the adult would try to quiet them, but he just let them (some people have no respect for other guests). We ended up leaving pool because the noise was bone jarring. Went about 50 feet to front desk, and could still hear kids loud and clear. I said something to clerk and he said «I was just getting ready to send someone down there to quiet them» He couldn’t have done that before someone complained? I would stay at this hotel again and hopefully other guests won’t make things bad.

My wife and I stayed in this hotel on a recent trip home to visit family. We were very impressed with the quality of the hotel. It is brand new and very high tech as far as hotels come. The look of the hotel was very sharp and well thought out.
The front end staff was extremely accommodating and helpful. I was impressed to find this level of quality in the downriver area as most companies do not seem to want to invest in the local area.

This is a brand new Hampton Inn just opened in January 2014. Very clean and new. High tech door locks on rooms. It is isolated from nearby restaurants, services etc. I was here for conference and took their shuttle from the airport and found that I had to get a cab to go for a drink, food or an ATM which they do not have on site.
